Mobiles.co.uk Tariffs

Guys - is this really helping?
So what we know is that Silk, MJ and Quenting have absolutely no faith in CPW companies to pay up on time. Ben from mobiles.co.uk has lost a fair bit of street cred by his company not delivering on his promises and ducking out of sight when a bit of bother comes along.
Are mobiles.co.uk getting any better with settling within the stated time? Will they ever win "Best mobile reseller" again?
But from a neutral, I am afraid all of you are going a bit ott with recent posts. MJ, as God's appointed mobile phone expert and CPW-hater on planet earth, is at his Churchillian best and my friend Silk is going a wee bit overboard too!
Ben - if only your company backed up your promises and words on this site, then you would be a hero, but the fact is, they don't do they??
So, for another thread worthy of Jeremy Kyle, keep up the attacks, but do try to step back a little and read them objectively as an outsider.
Oh, sorry Quentin, but I couldn't think of any direct pop to make at you...........but give me time. :beer:0 -
Ben, I fully realise that you are doing this to try to get the sympathy vote yet again as you have done the same on other forums.
Yes, this is secondary school and I'm trying to win a popularity contest. Very perceptive.Whether you like it or not your name and contact details are freely available all over the net to anyone to see. Why you have a problem with it being on this forum one can only guess at and why you no longer have your PM facility or email address on again one can only guess at.
I didn't realise that I wrote the MSE forum rules, but apparently I did.
Thanks for all your comments, and have a good day. You will be free to post your 'opinions' and 'suggestions' wherever you want, but they will not receive a response from us.“Official Company Representative
I am the official company representative of Mobiles.co.uk. MSE has given permission for me to post in response to queries about the company, so that I can help solve issues. You can see my name on the companies with permission to post list. I am not allowed to tout for business at all. An incorrect bill will result in an email advising it is incorrect - if the correct bill is received within the 60 day window, as per T&Cs payment will be made - not sure why this is surprising to you? A valid claim = a cheque, making an invalid claim doesn't negate further claims. I'm fairly sure the "you've sent the wrong bill" email actually lays this out explicitly.
Other companies used to deny all future claims if one is missed, we have never followed this model as we don't feel it's fair (and indeed has now been banned by the OFCOM code of practice).
Does anyone here even know why we need a copy of the bill? It's not just for fun, you know. Or why we can send out free gifts with the phones whereas most others make you submit your second bill? This is what I'm constantly saying, there's a lot of people accusing us of things based on their own assumptions and interpetations rather than reality, and a lot of people who have no clue how (or why) redemption cashback (let alone the mobile industry) operates and yet still want to challenge me on every last point.
Silk, you're a prime example - I even told you in advance that O2 would claim the phone wasn't cancelled if you phoned them, because of the way the system takes a billing cycle to get through all of the updates, yet you phone O2, say they've told you it isn't cancelled and even now bang on about it like you're the gallant martyr and we were the evil empire. Tell you what, explain the differences between DISE, Jupiter and Alaska to me and I'll admit you're right and I'm wrong.
As one of the "2 (assumed because I really know nothing anbout anything) " - not sure which of the several others number 2 is anyway - I am obviosuly completely wrong in statting that up until the middle of September you resolutely (on here) REFUSED to honour a claim made later than 30 days of the bill date and that contracts (such as the one I attempted to help when you mislead) STILL only has 30 days, not the 60 which (again, I know nothing) you typically attempt to imply they actually would have. The 60 or more cashback contracts I've engaged in oiver the last three years from a variwety of dealers - including E2ave, Onestopphoneshop, The Phone Spot AND Mobiles,.co.uk clearly qualify me to know nothing. unlike this rep of course, who knows eevrything as long as it protrays the company in a false but pretty light... It's really hard to understand how any consumer site could possibly have banned such an altruistic agent...0 -

I've lost count of how many times you've used THAT one - a lot more than the "13" you claim I've ignored (even though I haven't!).
Of course, those you know nothing merely have "opinions" and "suggestions" rather than direct knowledge and experience of how you treat yuour actual customers as opposed to you, the fountain of knowledge who lets its customers claim using a bill one month too late so that under their t&c the claim would be steadfastly DENIED and not "resubmitted" under the non-existent 60 day window in their case.0 -

I do not need to know what the difference is between Jupitor, Alaska or Dise to know that you did not cancel the contract with O2.
From the very day that O2 were trying to contact you they started monitoring the situation which also included monitoring the contract !!!
You did not tell me in advance that it would not show up as being cancelled you only used that excuse after I told you it hadn't.
Read the thread Ben it's all ther in black and white as it happened
If you remember it was even weeks later when the bill arrived to prove you hadn't cancelled that I contacted the investigation team at O2 and they put me through to the accounts dept that the account was actualy cancelled.
Why you've got the nerve to start passing the blame onto O2's billing cycle is pathetic ...the whole process to cancell took me about 2 minutes and within a couple of days I received a full credit even followed by a letter of concern.
Unlike your shoddy outfit who didn't even put pen to paper
It's not just about the money0 -
