MJ,
The exact question, which I answered, was "how do I tell which date on the bill to use?"
I didn't answer any other question because there wasn't one. Please stop being so paranoid about everything I do, and please don't insult me by insisting that you KNOW I am DELIBERATELY misleading etc etc. You THINK something, this is called a belief or opinion and it is not a "fact".“Official Company Representative

How do you square your outrage at this with your posts accusing me of being a liar, telling an "outright lie", and of being rude to you.
I have politely responded to your accusations of lying, showing you your own posts which the accusations of "liar" you made were based on, and asked you to apologise. I have also asked you to show where I have been rude to you, (I haven't).
Were you a real company rep, you wouldn't last long in the job! To repeatedly call someone a liar in any situation seems designed to cause trouble.0 -
Quentin,
Our opinions on that issue and how you read my posts are different, so I have not responded. But if you feel I insulted you or called you a liar then I apologise, neither were intended.
I'm getting tired of saying it (and very tired of being accused of the opposite) but I really am here to help, to improve our site and service and to offer an informed opinion about the mobile industry in general, where appropriate.

Ben,
My best advice would to not let yourself get side-tracked by people trying to beat you up. Respond to the OP's concerns, and only the OP's concerns. As long as you keep taking the bait, people are going to always give you a hard time.
To be honest though, if I was your boss and reading some of your responses, I'd be cringing. There's no point being right if you've lost a customer. You're not at all diplomatic, you're sometimes sarcastic, and you rely too much on technicalities. Nothing you've said is straight out wrong, but some of it is misleading, and the flavour of some of your posts is foul.
Stop wasting your time with tit for tat arguements. I know I wouldn't purchase from a company who doesn't have time to respond to customers efficiently but their reps can waste time on forums trying to prove a point.
Deal with the matter at hand. Ignore the people "putting their oar in" and prove yourself.0 -

You have deliberately mislead people on this forum many times. This one is particularly despicable, since by ignoring the poster's asssumption in the text of their post that they should send the JANUARY bill you ensured they would then be denied their cashback claim. The fact you know exactly what I am talking about YET made NO attempt to put them right (as I did) so that they claim using the DECEMBER bill is in stark contrast to your attempt to discredit ME!
Since I (according to you) don't know what I'm talking about and (according to you) you do, you have condemned yourself by letting the poster in question proceed down the path of making an invalid claim. With so much "knowledge" of everything it means you ARE acting deliberately and with the intention which is quite opposite to the one you keep spouting (and there aren't too many people left who are fooled by that any more).0 -
That was my approach for about the first 300 posts... There's only so many times I can see someone stating I KNOW THEY ARE CHEATERS AND CRIMINALS, ask them to discuss it or share their evidence or even invite them to preview and give feedback on new T&Cs before I end up simply trying to get them to stick to their 'own' threads.
The tone of some of my posts I regret, but I didn't ask for this "official" MSE rep status (it's necessary but unfortunate seeing how I'm not here in the same capacity as the Voda or Orange reps), so when I try to argue our side of an issue or face concerted attacks from my 2 biggest fans it looks very bad to have this moniker pastered all over my posts.
Anything I've said that's 'misleading' is either down to our different perceptions or an error on my part - I guarantee I have been nothing but honest, and perhaps slightly naive.
I'd ask you this; is the customer always right? How do you deal with it when they are not, but they have both someone with an axe to grind and someone who can't accept they don't know everything backing them up?“Official Company Representative

MJ,
How can you possibly know whether I "deliberately" mislead someone or simply read their question, answered it and moved on without taking the time to fully read through their post and correct a mistake that I wasn't looking for?
Can you not see how offensive and obstructive your posts are in the context of a merchant (me) trying to speak to a customer?“Official Company Representative

But if you feel I insulted you or called you a liar then I apologise, neither were intended.
How could I interpret your posts (example below) any other way?
(As far as your insults go, I don't need to requote your "potato" jibe.)
And I have asked you many times to either apologise or substantiate your accusations of "liar".eg:Mobiles.co.uk.company_rep wrote:Quentin,
There's no mileage in me trying to have a constructive conversation with someone so eager to damage our business through lies, misrepresentations and untruths so I'm being blunt - you don't understand what you're talking about and are being outright malicious in your spinning of what's happened here.
Of course I have no agenda to damage your business!
That said, your belated apology today is accepted.0
