Mobiles.co.uk Tariffs

  • Buymobilesphones. Up until recently I hadn't used them since they are much smaller and therefore higher risk (though I've been following them for about three years). However, given the increasing dishonesty of Mobiles.co.uk and their responses on here they should at least give a much smoother ride. Any cashback scheme has a risk and no-one should enter into them without knowing what they are and being prepared for them. My concern here is that Mobiles.co.uk are engaging in a whitewash campaign to promote and image that they are honest, reliable and fair - while nothing could be further from the truth now.
  • Temporary thread hijack. Sorry. Hopefully I can get a quick response so I don't need to start another thread...

    Hi mobiles.co.uk representative.

I have a query regarding cashback that I am not getting answered on the phone/via your website despite several attempts. I took out a 12 month contract on 21st June 2009. I believe according to the t&c's below that the first bill I need to return is the 'January 2009' bill:

"Please send your bills at the months indicated as per above instructions. For the avoidance of doubt month 6 will be the bill dated in the month that is 6 months after your connection date (the date displayed on your invoice). E.g. If connected in January, the sixth month will be July so we need to receive your July bill within 30 days of the date on that bill."

Mine and my brother's bills (we both have a contract from Orange) statement date from out most recent bill is October 22nd, but the payment is due 9th November. I am unclear as to whether mobiles.co.uk' considers this the October or November bill. If the bill's date is defined by the due date next months bill needs to be returned to mobiles.co.uk if it is the statement date it is the following month. So my query is is the bill's 'date' defined by the statement date or the due date?

As stated, I have sought clarification from mobiles.co.uk several times to no avail. Hopefully you can post a quick reply here so I don't need to start another thread.

Thanks very much, I appreciate your taking time to answer queries here.

    Hi,

The bill date is the date the bill was issued, not the payment due date.

  • Thanks very much Mobiles.co.uk company representative.

Apparently my brother saw somebody posting on here that contradicted your advice, but I haven't seen it - naturally I want to fulfill t&c's correctly. I also realise that as my connection date is June the first bill to be returned is the bill with the statement date December, not January....

Hi Silk, I have noticed a few 'skirmishes' between mobiles.ukRepresentative and a few posters here. I don't wish to get involved in that - I take his advice at face value and appreciate him taking the time to post it. However, having said that, if anybody cares to confirm my position of course I would very much appreciate it.

    Hi Meatballs,
I would imagine this was the thread your brother was thinking of

I'm pretty sure that Mobilejunkie will be along to assist though as he's the specialist on the subject
