My latest (and last) cashback claim was signed for on 23rd August and I still haven't heard anything.

Incidentally, I've got to the bottom of the strange problem with the inability to track delivery on the RM website, which says "out for delivery". The new automated telephone system also says "no information", but once you get to speak to someone (after new recorded threats that it will cost you £2.20 for the privilege) they tell you the correct info. As this is the second time this has happened to me re CNM, I asked what was going on and apparently it's the fault of the Bingham office, which scans the bar-codes against the wrong category: out for delivery instead of delivered. I was told the manager there would get an email to be asked to sort this out.

I've just received my first cashback cheque on my second contract after 36 working days.

My contract says 28 working days and CNM say 45 working days as their current conditions. After numerous emails and threats of legal action I got it somewhere in the middle.

As an aside the cheque was machine printed for the first time and signed by a R Alley(looks like) rather than J Slater.

Excellent news Trevor, get that cheque cashed quick :D
I'm in the same boat, regarding the "working days". Despite the intervention by TS telling CNM that my contract has to revert back to the 28 working days, I have still had an email saying my cheque will take anothe 4 to 5 weeks  . I have politely reminded them my cheque is due on or before 10 Sept. We shall see.
My cheque was signed by the same person as yours, hard to read.

No and they didn't try to say that I should.

It wasn't a condition of my original t&c's and may not have been of the t&c's current when I submitted my claim on 10th July.

Hi, I signed up for mobilephonesontheweb just before they went bust, so I was lucky there, however I'm hesitating whether or not to go with coolnewmobile, could someone please advice? I don't want to see a company go must leaving me with 100s to pay.

Surely you should take the time to read a good proportion of this thread and make your own mind up? After all, your circumstances are not unique in any way.

Coolnewmobile have by far been the worst mobile phone company I have dealt with. They have shown consistantly that they totally disregard the T&C's. If your go ahead, do so with caution and treat any cashback as a bonus. Do NOT just expect it. There must be a chance of them going bust as well.
They actually make Mobileshop look like complete angels. Incidentally Mobileshop seem to have got their act back together of late, at least with both myself and my hubby anyway.

The very best of luck, whatever you decide.

Here are some tips emerged from CoolNewMobile operator for every conman in the world to practice with the help of internet.
• Design a webpage with 3-4 HTML pages branding it as “XYZ mobile phone retailer” online ordering system.
• Put a terms and condition page with the smallest possible font saying “if you use our ordering service you pay £2.50, irrespective of whether your order is successful or not” in the most disguisable way
3. There you go, this is what called generating easy cash flow!!!

It looks like they have gone even further, I took a contract out with CNM in June and £2.50 was deducted from my card, Yesterday a further £2.50 has mysteriousley been duducted by Phonebox direct!! from my bank account. I phoned the CNM service number to enquire and was told it was some thing only the parent company could deal with. After being put on hold for 5 minutes I was disconnected. Does any one have the direct number for Phonebox direct, I would appreciate any help given
Ps please check your bank accounts....

0870 0427895 or try one of these numbers;

01270 412345
01270 412260
01949 838532 (claims)

Best of luck,
