    Jeppy,

Just noticed on another thread that someone who had a bounced recorded delivery had in fact made a mistake with regard to the address. This did relate to Phoneboxdirect but it is the same thing. Is it possible that you made a similar error?

I have just tracked my final claim, sent by recorded delivery on the 9th July.
For some reason it is being returned to sender!!!!

So even letters sent by recorded delivery are not guaranteed to be delivered. If they dont honour this claim, I shall have to speak to Trading Standards as I am able to prove that I sent the invoice, surely I cannot be responsible if they fail to collect the item.

Has anyone else had this problem??

And I stupidly have only recently set up a new contract with them.
  • Just some info on Phonebox Direct, Cool New Mobile etc run by Mobile media Systems Ltd or Moblie Affiliates Ltd for those wishing to take legal action or just curious to know the people who are ripping them off.
    Director : Simon Mark Slater ( app 2002 )
    Director : Joanne Susan Slater ( app 2002 )
    Director : Paul Mark Smith ( app 05/2007 )
Secretary : Simon Mark Slater ( busy man, thought they had 100 staff )
Claims Cheque Issuer : Joanne Susan Slater ( obviously not a full-time position )
    Customer Relations : Mr/Mrs Anonymous
CREDIT SCORE : 41/100 ABOVE AVERAGE RISK !
    MOST RECENT CCJ’S : 2 IN JULY - BOTH REMAIN UNSATISFIED !
This company does not employ 100 people as suggested or is it a major player in the industry. It is an amateur set-up by a couple who use P.O Boxes for correspondence because one day they will scam the wrong person who might just end up on their doorstep.

  • Sorry forgot to add the Slaters previous companies:-
    VIDEOSTAT LTD - DISSOLVED.
    CABLEDEAL LTD - IN LIQUIDATION.

Just in case you thought you dealing with good successful business people!

Oh I'm sure they're very successful - from their point of view!

    Buster,

    thanks for info.

Whilst the ccjs in July remain unsatisfied I would mention that to enforce a judgement does take time. It is not therefore necessarily true that these ccjs will remain unsatisfied.

It does seem to show that they don't cave in to all the summons though.

Here are some tips emerged from CoolNewMobile operator for every conman in the world to practice with the help of internet.
    • Design a webpage with 3-4 HTML pages branding it as “XYZ mobile phone retailer” online ordering system.
    • Put a terms and condition page with the smallest possible font saying “if you use our ordering service you pay £2.50, irrespective of whether your order is successful or not” in the most disguisable way
    3. There you go, this is what called generating easy cash flow!!!

    Gromituk,

Why should they? It costs them nothing to have a ccj against them so long as they settle up in due time after judgement. In fact it saves them money in interest if claimant does not claim interest. They could not care less about having a ccj against them, look at their track record with other companies.

Also, if they are considering going bust it pays them to pay as late as possible, getting the money out of the company prior to liquidation will be a priority.

Also it costs them £15 to have a Certificate of Satisfaction lodged.

    Enough reasons??

You do seem a little too negative with regards to people going to Court in order to stand up for themselves.

What is your interest in CNM anyway?

On a more positive note, those on a low income might find the link below of interest.

PS. To summarise, it may well be that the people who obtained the ccjs HAVE got their money.

What do you mean? I'm the first to advocate that people stand up for themselves and take these crooks to court. Remember I started the thread listing the people whose bill pages have been mysteriously "lost"!

I am a customer of theirs. Why do you ask?

CoolNewMobiles/Phone Box direct's recent tactic is to give missed calls to mobile phones from 0870 & 0871 numbers as a frantic attempt to get some sales. It all appears to me that they are going bust soon - dont take my word though.

Mind you, the moment you place an order £2.50 is gone - no matter order is successful or failure.

May be "Failed" orders generate more cash for them !
