I don't see how that proves anything! 2 people in a forum post that it must be a scam because the offer is a free phone and 12 months free contract. On this forum we see lots of 12 month free deals, there're not impossible too-good-to-be-true deals. A third person posts "no geographical land line number", however they do have a phone number.

I'm not saying people shouldn't be cautious when taking out contracts with coolnewmobile, or any other 12 month free deal company, but I really don't think that link proves anything (IMHO)

While I would have expected an email, six days doesn't seem very long to start panicking about non delivery.

That is true but if you look on their site, nearly every single offer they have is 12 months free line rental. No other company does this.

That wouldn't bother me, they may just be specialising in those offers to get the turnover and build their business quicker. Whether that is a solid business plan in the mobile phone world I don't know but it wouldn't put me off buying from them if they have been around a few years and generally provide a good service.

Click on any handset, or on "view other handsets available for this package" on any of the 12 month free deals: There are a whole range of offers with varying amounts of cashback, not just 12 month free deals!

I have had 2 cashback cheques so far, both arriving about 2 weeks after I sent my phone bill. I wrote a long post about my experience in another thread. They are a small company but I have had no problems so far. I will continue to post every 2 months till my contract ends. If I get all my cheques I will cancel my contract and get a new one.

Many companies these days are offering 12 months free so i don't understand the argument that it is too good to be true. You have to claim the cash back in 5 stages, and if you miss one you can't claim anymore, so I guess they make money off forgetful people (not everybody is a money saver you know!). Also, the phones they give you are not recent ones. All the models are a bit old if you want 12 months free, which I don't care about.

You do take gamble, so make sure you can afford £30 per month if it goes wrong, but so far for me it is a gamble that is paying itself off. I sold the phone for £50 and have had £144 in cash back so far. (I wish I had known about Quidco when I signed up!)

If you believe 12 months free is too good to be true, simple, don't get one of these phones!

I ordered the Samsung D500 phone on orange network,200 min on last Thursday, phone was delivered on Saturday, sent by Vanilla which sent me sms on Friday about order dispatch.
Like other people i am still in a fix to go ahead or cancell with in 7days which is due tomorrow.
I have spoken to them few times on 01949823901, seems like they are working from home, iam not really confident about the cash back but still might take a chance and see it through. Any positive assurance from existing or previous customers of coolnewmobile who have recieved cash back is greatly appreciated.

    Cheers
