coolnewmobile are quite a new company so there isn't a huge amount of feedback here yet, but I have taken out a contract with them for my Dad last month as I felt reasonably confident in them.
There's a poll here http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=170080 where MSE members are voting for retailers that have paid up and several other polls are linked from that thread too. You can also use the "search this forum" at the top of the page to find every mention of coolnewmobile on here.
The main thing is to read all the advice people have given regarding cashback terms and conditions (read for all companies not just coolnewmobile to get a wider view) - sometimes they're not crystal clear and so people may have missed out on their cashback on minor technicalities.
Also, buy through quidco.com for further cashback!0 -

Have had two cashbacks back on time and with no problems.
However, I did send them by (relatively) expensive 'special delivery' which takes the "not received" argument out of the equation.

I received my second cash back this weekend, no problems, both arrived after approx. 2 weeks. I sent mine recorded which is not too expensive. If you send it as soon as you recieve the phone bill you have 1 month to chase it up if for some reason you think they may not have received it.

bumping this up because I wrote a long report of my experience with coolnewmobile (and people still seem to be asking questions about them) and also to add I got my second cash back with no problems. Still a handwritten cheque and my address handwritten on the envelope, but no complaints about that as long as the money keeps coming...I will report again in another 2 months.

I'm glad you're back and posting about your second cashback :j because your earlier post about your first cashback came up in the forum search when I was researching before taking out a contract through coolnewmobile last month. I feel better knowing that other people have taken the risk of a newish company before me and have received their cashbacks!

I also settled on CNM as best deal for a K750i (great little phone for a 12-month freebie). You can download the claim form as a .pdf (they send you a link when you order) so apart from the tedium of sending five cashback claims - by recorded delivery, and videoing myself doing it - it seemed like the best offer by miles.
But now a week later, I've waited in day after day and no phone. I've emailed them twice and no reply. So in a nutshell, I'm cancelling. Customer service like '3' (spit) or Carphone !!!!!house (retch) is not what I signed up for.0 -
CoolNewMobile is cheap... and nasty.
I ordered a phone (orange K750i), waited in all week, nothing. Not as if it's even a new model. No replies to emails, finally spoke to someone who listened politely, promised to sort things and email confirmation - nope.
Turns out they 'don't do email' in that dept. They don't receive it either, allegedly, despite me using the address the order invoice tells you to use. And no, they didn't bounce back, they were just ignored.
Totally useless. They even told me it was my fault (?) for calling 'Sales', not 'Customer Service', yet the phone numbers on the website are the same for both... and 10p a minute for them too.
Had even more trouble cancelling; partly my bad for thinking the damn thing had eventually arrived after I'd told them not to send it (was another parcel). Turned out my order hadn't even been processed after a week.
Was told to call the 'returns dept' on an 0845 number. The 'returns dept' is nothing more than a recorded message telling you to email (which they don't respond to). God knows how much fun you'd have chasing cashback payments with this lot.
Finally cancelled but not before a right mouthful from some snotty manageress. I'm not allowed to order from them ever again now, apparently( :eek: !) Their customer service is a sick joke. Two-bit outfit - but then again that is why it's cheap (assuming you successfully jump through the cashback hoops, otherwise it won't be.)
You've been warned. Same catagory as Three, in my book. Annoyed me enough to write this, anyway.0 -

They are indeed a con company. Nearly all their offers are 12 months free line rental.....hmmmmmm...who else does that? I know it does exisit but this company, nearly every single offer of theirs is 12 months free line rental and there are a number of other sources where many people have said they are acon company.0
