Ordered a k850i on monday - arrived weds morning. Phoned them with a question today (thursday) twice and got through and was sorted out both times quickly. No problems so far.0

Sorry to hear about your problem MarkMcA. I ordered the same before reading your post so was sceptical, but in my case the phone arrived on weds (ordered monday).0

MarkMcA wrote:I also settled on CNM as best deal for a K750i (great little phone for a 12-month freebie). You can download the claim form as a .pdf (they send you a link when you order) so apart from the tedium of sending five cashback claims - by recorded delivery, and videoing myself doing it - it seemed like the best offer by miles.
But now a week later, I've waited in day after day and no phone. I've emailed them twice and no reply. So in a nutshell, I'm cancelling. Customer service like '3' (spit) or Carphone !!!!!house (retch) is not what I signed up for.
I purchased a W550i on the 21st, it still has not arrived. Whenever I call customer services they take my details, tell me their systems are down and that I will be called back. I'm not quite at the point of cancelling but it's annoying when I was quoted 3-4 days delivery.0 -
Fraz,
As I wrote above, received 2 cheques so far. Both approx. 2 weeks after posting my bill (reecorded delivery).

I ordered a phone which they emailed to say they were in short supply. They left me a message on my phone but didn't know anything about it when I phoned.
The good thing is that they have already payed by Quidco sign up fee

Hi all,
Been searching around for a good deal on Motorola V3, best deal available is through CNM, where you can claim ALL 12 months line rental back via cashback claims
Does anyone actually have any BAD experience of this co?
Thanks.0 -

I've been finding it a bit annoying when people post warnings against coolnewmobile, in particular when the word "scam" is used. Mainly because I've taken out a contract through them and don't need any encouragement to worry about these things. But also because for the most part it just seems to be opinions that aren't actually backed up by any real facts.
So anyway, here's a fact:
coolnewmobile are part of the carphonewarehouse group, as are e2save, onestopphoneshop and themobileoutlet.
I wasn't aware of this until just now when I was told by Orange customer services. I have had 2 separate orders, one from coolnewmobile and one from mobileoutlet, for different Orange tariffs and phone numbers automatically combined to one monthly bill because "they are essentially the same company". Prior to this I received a despatch confirmation from e2save for my coolnewmobile order, and today I had a voicemail message from e2save asking if my (coolnewmobile) order was satifactory.
So our chances of getting cashback from coolnewmobile are about the same as for the other retailers - dependant on how closely we follow the correct claim procedure. It is not a fake/scam website/company0 -

I had better clarfiy this a bit. The point I've tried to make is that coolnewmobile is not a scam website/company. Who owns what and is responsible for what is far more complicated and has been explained by two far more knowledgeable mse members here here and here
