The Address on my claim form (for coolnewmobiles) is

These were printed out from the coolnewmobiles website when I took the deal out in Feb. (I think I printed it from the right website??)

I am just about to send in my first claim and am a bit paranoid that they will find an excuse not to pay. Perhaps someone who has recently claimed can confirm a couple of things for me?

The claim for is headed 5 EQUAL PAYMENT CASHBACK CLAIM FORM.

So far I have paid 3X £17.50(half price for 3 months), + 1X £35 = £87.50, so I presume that is what I claim, not 1/5 of the annual amount???

Non of the paperwork I have lists the yearly cashback amount. The current website lists it as £367.50, which ties up with 9X£35, + 3X 17.50 but if anyone who took out their '3' deal mid February and is more organised than me(thats most people I would imagine) can confirm, I would be very grateful.

It will be one fifth of the annual cashback (£367.50). If you're still in doubt, call them on Monday but I'm sure that's the correct answer. What you PAY each month to the network is irrelevant.

this company has been going a while i was recommended them after my bad experience with mobileshop, they do 12 month contract on vodaphone a whopping 500minutes / 250 texts.
The redemption starts at month 5 when you send the 1st 5 bills back by recorded post within 2 weeks and so on, hope this helps someone. i have just signed up for the new nokia 3110 classic with this deal

Actually you don;t send the first 5 bills and it ain't necessarily the fifth bill!

Perhaps you have the wrong thread, in fact - this one's about Coolnewmobile! And if you're going to mention buymobilephones perhaps it WOULD help to mention they only allow 14 days from the statement date for each claim - something they also fail to tell you until you've actually ordered!

are you sure yours isnt PO Box 8895, as that postcode applies to that PO Box on my claims form.

Just a thought, I've just checked up T&C's and now it says you need to send back the "handset dispatch note" with the 1st claim.
When did this "kick in"?? I printed off all my claim forms back in January and no mention was made of them wanting this note.
I hope they don't try and use this as an excuse!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I must say that's one of THE most valuable comments Extremely well spotted and thanks for bbbbringing it to our attention!

On 17th June my friend printed off the t&c again and it wasn't on there then. She ordered a phone this morning and copied them again and now it IS on there. It's not a good sign; the note which arrives with the phone is pretty meaningless and unimpressive and it smacks of the practices of The Mobile Outlet - a company which seems to do anything (legal or not) to avoid paying and includes a similar condition.

This will obviously NOT apply to contracts taken out before (at the earliest) 17th June but can only be there as an excuse not to pay cashbacks.

Actually...

It gets worse.

They now only allow 21 days instead of a calendar month from the date of the bill. Very sad - looks like thhey are trying very hard now to catch people out and may end up as disreputable as The Mobile Outlet and a few others who deserve to be named in no uncertain way! Great pity!!!
