Well good news, they are very responsive, I sent them an email and I got a response a few hours later giving me a number to call regarding cashback, called, and it was answered on 2nd ring. Was told there was nothing I could do if Orange hadn't listed the other number so not too worry about sending both bills.

Now as long as my claim goes through next month I'll be a happy bunny! :j

I thought I would let you all know that I have received my first cashback cheque from CNM so now for some

I sent the forms off just over a month ago, and will be sending my second claim in next month so will keep you posted. But so far I am very happy with CNM! :rotfl:
  • Just after I took out a contract for my Dad through coolnewmobile there were several comments on this forum (probably in this thread if I bothered to look) about them being too good to be true and the word scam was used a bit too.

Well, I'm very happy (and relieved) to say that my Dad has now received his second cashback cheque. Both were sent reasonably quickly, 2-3 weeks, and both were acknowledged by email as having been received. So with no problems at all I'm happy to recommend them and if they are still getting good feedback on these forums by next April then I'll be using them again
  • Just to say that I ordered a free handset on a 12 month free contract at the end of April this year.
    I went through mutual points.
    Received it no problems.
was connected to orange no problems.

I was a bit confused as my welcome pack that came with the phone was from vanilla mobile, so when I started to try and fill out the claim form I had a dizzy moment and wasn't sure which customer number to fill in.
Rang the customer care line and they talked me through how to fill in the form. Very helpfull patient and polite.
It is the one you get with the original email which starts CNM
Sent of claim form recorded delivery ( the lady on the phone recommended recorded delivery which is £1) and a week later had 2 emails to confirm my claim form was being entered onto the system and a week later received my cash back.

I have just sent my 2nd claim in recorded delivery which they received yesterday ( have just used royal mail tracking on their web site to confirm). Although after reading this thread I have realised that I am using old claim forms and sent it to the old address so I will have to follow that up on Monday. Will let you all know what happens.

I made this mistake because I very analy printed off all the claim forms and filled them all out in one go, I was trying to be organised so I didn't miss the deadlines. dohhh.

The only problem that I have had so far is with the bluetooth hands free earpiece I received with the handset. It is a carphone warehouse earpeice and the on/off button broke after using it about 3 times.
I rang the faults helpline which turned out to be for handsets only. The man I spoke to didn't know about coolnewmobile, he said that they were a support center for carphone warehouse, one stop shop and e2save. He said that coolnewmobile must be an affiliate member with that group. He told me to take the earpiece along with the invoice to any local carphone warehouse shop.
I did and the lady I spoke to said that she had seen this fault before and just replaced it no questions.

This is the first time I have been on a contract and I was hesitant at first as cash back deals have such bad reputations. But so far (fingers crossed) it is working. I have counted off on the calender an marked on it the times that I need to send my bills in as I am not always the most organised person in the world.

Will update you on how rest of cash back goes.

Me too! I sent my claim by Recorded Delivery 12 October (went on holiday), upon checking post on return 2 weeks later, cheque £72 received.

The only criticism is I never received the £35 via Quidco, I queried this back in May and Quidco have yet to advise of the outcome
  • Just received email to confirm cashback claimform has been received by coolnewmoblie and entered on to the system. So they are still getting them at the old address and processing them on old claim forms. looking forward to my £72 cheque in the next couple of weeks!:j
  • i just got my contract from CNM today, does that mean the first bill i send them will have to be showing at least 8th MArch 2007?

also ppl mentioned before about them signing you up for the insurance even if you said no, i have received no information rearding this, so i pressume they did not sign me up to it

EDIT : just realised they connected me to the wrong tarrif, T&T 700 insted of VTT 1100
  • I've been monitoring this thread for ages and finally went for a CNM phone a few months ago.
I've just recieved my 1st cash back ..Hurrah!
I thought I would post as I'm one of those people that linger but never register, and thought it was only fair to report that CNM seem to be as good as there word (so far)
I was fined £10.00 for an early claim, but I had to take that on the chin as it was my mistake.
So thanks for the early comments that gave me the courage to have a punt on an offer that seems to be too good to be true.

Received cheque number two on Friday.

I didn't receive a confirmation email and it took a lot longer than last time so I'd sort of resigned myself to it not happening.

    So doubly pleased :)
  • I' m in the process of receiving my 5th (final) cashback with coolnewmobile. So far so good. Fingers crossed for the 5th one. Always posted with a normal letter and not recorded. Sometimes received an e-mail confirmation from them.

I'm considering one of coolnewmbile's 12 month free deals, after recently getting one on e2save, who have no current 12 month free deals.
Couple of thoughts on these deals. If the company goes bust (takes the money and runs) can the network insist on completion of contract and monthly payments?
Can you scan and email the bills to the company? I would have thought that is just as acceptable as post (and cheaper too).
Both e2save and coolnewmobile offer cashback through quidco, so it pays to take out these deals.
This is surely profitable if it does all it says and you adhere to he bill returns - the phones can be sold on ebay easily at any time to increase profit - in the past I have made over a years contract even paying a monthly fee, by recouping more on the sale of the phone!
The sceptic in me asks if the company concerned would post here, spouting how good their cashback service was?
