Thanks, i relied on e mail because i have been working 12 hour days and have not had chance to phone. Because of them ignoring my 1st mail and after reading some of the cashback problems highlighted in this thread i have decided to cancel my order and e mailed them telling them this last night.
No reply of course.WHOOOOSHHHHHHHHH……..
Blimey what was that ?

Don't expect them to get this e-mail, mine usually bounce back. Whether you're contacting them to cancel or to find out what's happening with your order - do it by phone if at all possible. I was on hold for 30 seconds at the most, and calls lasted no more than 3 minutes.0

I haven't read the whole of this thread, but 3 of us in my family have got O2 free 12 month deals with coolnewmobiles & have had no problems- just have to check every time we get a bill whether it's time to claim again! Now looking for a 4th phone, prices seem to have gone up- we each pay 29.99 a month, now most are at least £35. Also, some of the £35 dealsoffer the full £420 cashback while others only offer £367.50, even though they both say "12 months free rental for 12 month contract". This is the same on the phoneboxdirect site. Can anyone explain this?0

Most likely the first 3 month are half-price line rental offer from network itself like "3".0

How quickly did you get an email back from them? I sent off the forms last week by recorded delivery so I know they've got them, but haven't heard anything yet.
TIA
Shaanbles
Also note that you should expect a cheque within 28 days instead of 14 days now (which used to be the case for me). I don't mind when it comes, as long as I get my money. This is still quicker than Mobileshop who has a payment time of up to 45 days, but at least that is a direct payment to your bank account.
Hope this helps!

samsky wrote:Hi, I was planning to order a cashback phone from Cool New Mobile today, but rain into 2 problems and wonder if anyone can help.
1. I wanted to get the Nokia 6280 with 12 months free line rental on Three. So I selected the Nokia 6280 clearance model. The strange thing is that the site has labelled it as Not Available, yet still allows me to proceed with my order. Should I proceed?
2. There's this step during the order process where they ask me for previous address if I have not stayed at my present place for more than 3 years. Problem here is that I am a student, so only just arrived in UK a month ago. Does this disqualify me from the offer? Or should I just tell them I have been staying for 3 years, any repercussions?
Thanks so much for any replies!
Sam
Any help on the above?0 -
hi samsky, i don't think you should proceed with your order, since N/A clearly means N/A. perhaps their website isn't really up to scratch and hence the loopholes you've chanced upon?
your second question is more tricky. i'm not entirely sure about this, but assuming you're not from the UK, and hence not on the electoral roll, they'd probably have no way of verifying your accomodation status (ie <3yrs VS >3yrs)0 -

How long have you been using Cool New Mobile and have you (and your family) had all your cashbacks?0
