gromituk wrote:Thanks for that - always reassuring! You might want to find the poll about successful cashbacks and add your vote to that. They seem to process payments promptly, unlike mobileshop who seem to be reliable but hold onto the money for 45 days after the voucher's expiry date.
I think i would be inclined to vote ONLY after my final payment!0 -
Hi,
I came across this website on my virtual travels and wondered if anyone's had any experience with them?
http://www.coolnewmobile.co.uk/
It seems that you pay the monthly tariff and then get the redemption paid at the end. Is it for real? How do they make their money?
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
D :j0 -
I have merged your thread with a previous thread that gives users' experiences of this company if you have a read backwards through the thread it should answer some of your questions0

Like all the companies that offer redemptions, they make their money off heavy users, people who forget to send in their redemptions, and people who dont read the T&C's correctly and send the wrong info to them.
If you start at the beginning of this thread, I'm sure you will find all the information you need......I am with them, and so far(touch wood) have seen no evidence to make me unhappy.
PS.....If you go through Quidco(correctly) you can also get £35 off them too.0 -
If i port my old number, will the first bill say my old number or my new number?
Will this mess up my cashback claims?
Anyone had a successful number port and recieved cashback?
Thanks0 -

From their website:
Porting (keeping your old number)
when making the first instalment claim at 120 days, with a PORTed number, we need in addition to the standard requirements above, a copy of the first bill showing the original number we supplied to you.

I saw in a post earlier that their old number was on the first bill already and therefore was not the correct proof.
What do you do in this situation? I would be very grateful for a response from someone with personal experience in this matter.
But thanks Reestit Mutton, but i already new this.0 -
In this case, the network should be able to provide details on the Port in to the network, showing the old (temp) number and the number you ported in.CPW Retail

I signed up last Saturday but a week later I still have not received my phone. According to T&C I should have got it on "Tuesday/Wednesday". How long am I likely to be waiting, and is there any address I can e-mail to check up on my order status?0
-
Like a previous poster, I ordered a phone at the end of Aug expecting it to arrive within a couple of days. I had to chase up several times this week and was told there had been a problem verifying my address (unfortunately the flat I live in has several alternative identifications and not all databases use the official post office format --- a real problem). I gave alternative forms of address and even another credit card. Still nothing arrived and I called again to be told that the order was ready to go but I needed to confirm my tarriff. After waiting in a queue yet again I was told that actually the offer I had requested was now no longer available. People on the phone were not very friendly. It seemed like they were highly overworked, some story about having 60 call-backs to make each.
I chose another phone (on a higher monthly rate and not free over 12 months) and was told it would be dispatched for arrival today. Then today I receive an email telling me that my phone hasn't been sent and to get in touch with the credit approvals on telephone number which doesn't work!! (see below). This mentions yet another web site/company, dextrasolutions.com.
All very exasperating. I'm now giving up with them to try elsewhere and hope they pay attention to my email asking to cancel the order.
I never had this problem with mobileshop.com who were very reliable, delivered phone quickly and paid cash back quite promptly in my experience. If you manage to get a phone from coolnewmobile.com, they *may* deliver on the cashback too, but I wouldn't have much confidence after my experience. Don't order from them if you're after a phonequickly.
