I had the johnsons lighter shade last year but didnt find it tanned up much, have got the darker one this year, that seems to be better! Has anyone tried the new Dove one? that was on offer too recently.
re flour: I have bought allinson but not used it yet, I have made a wholemeal with the Carrs flour which was nice. plus do people put the ingredients in the other way round when doing wholemeal bread? my BM leaflet said to do this but came out like a brick, when ingredients put in usual way, i.e. water first, they are fine.
by the way in my Big W yesterday they had a 1.5lb BM reduced to £15! plus kids bouncy castle 8ft x 8ft now down to £69! I was sorely tempted but do I really need it in my small garden! ha ha
Aussielass: lucky you with real tan! where in Oz are you? my brother now lives in NSW.0 -

I am aware that I haven't been on here for ages (new job - more money - more busy but slack at the moment as boss is off). Anyway, <<ahem - clears throat for big announcement>> I AM VIRTUALLY DEBT FREE - obviouly there is the mortgage but apart from that about 150-pounds to go and then it is just bills. Thank you Mr Bond Maturing that i had forgotten about (ooops!!)
Obviously me and Mr Rage are VERY HAPPY!!!!! and we even went to Turkey to see the solar eclipse and have money left over from the budget for that so that has gone into the Chine 2009 Eclipse Fund!!!!
So I am sat here eating my sandwiches lovingly made by Mr Rage and am feeling very pleased with myself!!!
HURRAH!! :j :j :j :j :j :j :jBut I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green0 -

Agreed Queenie - I had lovely long hair until I was 9 yrs old then my mum took me to get my hair cut and it was all lopped off - I never forgave her for that
Re Knitted jumpers - my OH always remember his mum knitting them jumpers with the three stripes on them (cos they could afford to buy them for all the kids - she had 7 of them) - he hated it when it rained cos they always stretchedBCSC NO 400 -

Smokey, Michelle, totally sympathy regards the kitties - one of mine is a long haired beauty but the hair he sheds is something else. I have a roll of masking tape for hair removal purposes in my bedroom, my kitchen, my car and in my desk at work - the hair gets stuck to absolutely everything. The kitty in question - Ted - is so gorgeous though, he's worth it.
Snowy - we have masking tape, a lint roller and another gadget bought in ASDA - but what I find the best for taking the hairs from the couches is a brush that I actuall use on the cats for brushing them - it lifts most of the hair then I go over it with a damp cloth.
