    Good Morning All

Havnt been on here for a couple of days as been busy with the children and our holiday home, had quite a good weekend after all even though it was soo cold in the caravan.

This morning am clearing washing basket and generally tidying and must hoover. No os food today - am taking DD & 2 friends to see a show and DH & DS are going to the pictures. We shall be having KFC for tea. I do find when the kids are off os goes out of the window so have decided that will be much better prepared before the next school hols.

PP - hope it goes ok today Im ok with needles but apparantly I dont have good veins in fact if you look at my arms you cant see any at all so I always have to be stabbed a few times before they can draw blood....praps Im a vampire ...no cant be I love Garlic too much.

Anyway hope everyone has a brill day today. Looks sunny here at the mom and that makes all the difference
  • Pawpurrs-Have PM'd you hun. Wont bore everyone or I'll have some of the older OS's on my case;)

Well needle nurse has been and gone. OH has just popped to his Uncles to fix his computer and should be back soon. DD is watching a nature programme on sky and is quite peaceful here. Washing has been put out too and breakies eaten.

    Have a great day everyone.

    Morning everyone ;)

Well after my mega productive day yesterday, i had a spanner put in today a bit as i had an email last night saying i had a parcel being delivered. It's stuff for my SAT marking job, so i can't really complain, but i would have done todays out of the house jobs today, IYSWIM. Never mind. There is always more washing. I think i may have to relent, and use the TD. It just doesn't make sense not to clear the majority while i'm off work rather than leave it to be another thing nagging at me in my first proper week back. I want the house to be spotless so i just have to maintain through the week. Not entirely achievable with the 2 cats, but i will do my best.

Happy Birthday for yesterday Pawpurrs. You should have come here if you were feeling miserable and we would have soon cheered you up.

    FF -enjoy your guinea pigs

jo - hope the bf gets the job as it will be one less thing for you to think about. Glad you are still enjoying the new job.

vicky - sounds like your grandad is a bit better. That must be a relief. Enjoy London, and the bean salad will be so much better for your diet than the bagel.

well i'm also going to test out the new slow cooker today and try to make a shepherds pie. Wish me luck everyone. I dare say i'll be back soon.

    Good morning all :)

Lovely day here today, not sure how long it will last though so I am just waiting for WM to finish and then I will sprint (yeah right!!) with it into the garden. :D

No work today so I need to do some cleaning and shopping later, bread and milk etc. Is is just my family or do everyone else's get through milk like it is.....well water??

OH is going to be in a very grumpy mood today as he has had BIG problems with his lorry this week and had to drive last night until midnight, so he will be tired. :( I will have to stay calm and lovingly, understandingly wifely!!

I wish you all a good and happy day, healthy too, but I know it is not so for all. PP I too have no idea what is wrong with you, but seeing your posts here every day, happy and caring, makes this world seem a better place. I wish you happiness and improving health.

Wow, I had to put this in at the end, I have just rung the Dr's surgery as I think number 2 son may have impetigo (sp?), my call was answered so quickly, halfway through the first ring, I was put through immediatley to our Dr's receptionist and he has an appointment at 9.20!!! gotta go wake him up and in to the shower...see you all later :)

    Good Morning everyone
Hooray, it's sunny here in Berkshire today, WM is on & nearly finished, so hopefully the washing can be dried on the line.:j

I will be able to let my guinea pig & rabbit have the run of the garden today as I'm at home all day.

Went out yesterday & bought 2 Mollys, we had 3 but 1 died 4 months ago & one last week, the remaining Molly was looking sad, hiding in the plants & not coming out much, so we now have 3 again & they are bouncing all over the tank as Mollys do.

I just have a few finishing touches to do to the meals & I prepared yesterday & so by the end of the day the freezer should be full & I will also make a couple of loaves & maybe some shortbread.

I've also started knitting again, I make scarves & mittens to sell & as gifts. I had a break as my hands were getting sore.

Hope everyone has a good day.
    Hugs to all.

Shez- I always think centre parcs looks lovely, although I have never been.

PP- I am trying to encourage the children I work with to eat green beans - what did the trick? Well done on the reductions. Organic milk seems to often be reduced which I find a double bonus -its cheap milk and I can't usually afford to buy organic

VickyA _ I couldn't belive how expensive it is to eat in London when I was down last week. I was staggered by the places that were asking £4.95 for a pre packed sandwich. We ended up eating the kind of food I would rather not, such as MacDonalds.

I have managed 3 days of a diet -which isn't much but my good intentions usually fall down on day three, so I am pleased.

    Today -
B - weetabix, skimmed milk and strawberries
l -hm carrot and tomato soup plus marmite and salad roll
late afternoon two ryvittas or a banana
    d - not decided yet.

    Morning all

Hugs to those who need them

JO - hope BF interview goes well

vicky - glad to hear your grandads getting better - enjoy your day out

Cha97michelle - know what you mean about the cats - we have 3 and they seem to be the cause of most of the "mess" (although I wouldnt be without them) - OH keeps threatening to shave them

Well today is my last day at w*** - have the long weekend to look forward to now.....will be treating ourselves to some wine and a curry tonight - the kids go back to their mum today. didnt sleep a wink last night - it is all my own fault I dont drink anything with caffeine - but had a large class of cola last night that wasnt caffeine free - it wasnt till I was half way through it a 930pm that I realised - spent all night tossing and turning (that was after listening to OH prowling about the house trying to locate a "beeping noise at 130am in the morning - the ladders where out of the hall cupboard to take out the battery in the upstairs smoke alarm then he was downstairs taking the battery out of the downstairs alarm then we was in the kids room - this all took 20 mins as the bleep occurred every 5 mins - eventually it was located in DSS jacket - it was his mobile  )

Have v busy day here to ensure all is tidied up for me going on holiday.

    B - toast
    l - tuna pasta
d - curry mmnnhh - tea time special from local indians

    have a lovely day all

    Take care

    :hello: Goooooood Morning, Oldstylers :hello:

:hello: Welcome Lewby and jan59 :hello:  Belated Birthday Wishes to pawpurrs

Lewby - Good luck with your goal to be more OS. I'm optimistic that it will help tremendously in reaching your DFD. Just remember, it's all about baby steps and not to feel overwhelmed or discouraged if things like the GC don't fall into place quite as quickly as you may want/need it to. It *will* eventually.

jan59 - :T Congrats on the downsizing!!! :T Have a wonderful time with your niece and nephew :D

outrageous_monkey - Hope DS2's runny tummy is better today.

somo1 - Ooooh, I read books in the bath too!! I got lost in there once, reading "Goblet Of Fire" and when I surfaced 2hrs later, my face was tearstained and the rest of me wrinkly :o:o

mummysaver - dd's birthday "Pampering Pack" sounds wonderful!! :j :j Great job on planning ahead and getting good deals. My washing machine is playing up too. Back in January, I started a washer-fund. Basically, each time I do a washload, I put £1 in a jar. That will go towards a new machine when this one spins it's last boogie. (Sometimes I throw in the odd £1 coin in my purse to catch up on the years I've had it and not thought to have a washer fund :) ) Hope dd2 has great fun at Brownie Camp and you don't miss her too much :)

Aril - LOL @ manipulative female comment ;):D:D

dorry ((hugs)) - distressing news :(:(

VickyA - Good for you for guestimating your dental costs beforehand - even better that it came in under budget! :T Good luck with the O/draft. Enjoy your day in London - it sounds lovely :D

elona - well done on the sale, you're doing well!! :T

michelle - if you have a steam cleaner, it makes oven cleaning less of a chore. Likewise, a quick wipe down with a solution of hot water and soda crystals when the oven is cooling down but still warm after each use/weekly is a great way to keep on top of it. Good luck playing with your SC today.

freya - Good luck today with the HA inspector. Hope they get all the jobs done that need to be done.

cat - Great news on the hospital/dd front. Aww, what a fun idea to be able to take a pic of the X-ray with your phone; I bet she'll enjoy showing that off at school :):):)

chewy - hope the switch from oj to yogurt does the trick. Keeping my fingers X'd for you.

culpepper - you're doing great making all those Easter Eggs :T :T :T Oooh, a knitting machine :j My mother used to have one of those (actually, so did my FIL and he was quite a whizz with it years ago, apparently). Haven't seen one in years. Wishing you many therapeutic and productive hours with it. :):):)

thriftlady/tootles/Chipps: I love that poem: Mirror, mirror on the wall, I'm becoming my mother after all! ;)

Dobie - enjoy your time off :D:D I love the sound of your Patio Party :D

frizz - thank you for the tip re: Johnsons - I'll take a look :j :j

Jo - sending positive vibes for db/f's interview!!!

Funky - oooh, enjoy your guinea pigs :j :j

Did you know, just heard on my local radio, our flag is only called the Union Jack when it is flown at sea, but the Union Flag at other times?? I never knew that! See, you learn something new every day

Essex-girl - enjoy your KFC and the show :D:D

Shez - Fingers X'd for your wine. :T How lovely to get your May break away booked, something very positive to look forward to :D I've done a bit of Family Tree Research ... makes for interesting reading! Our family has more skeletons than the local graveyard  Fascinating hobby ;):D

skipoo - WOW!!! :T Great news on getting a prompt appointment :j Hope DS2 gets the treatment he needs.

suerob - Glad to hear your Molly's are full of the joys of Spring :D:D

Prudent - :j Well done on your milestone!! Good luck with continuing :T

My mini-men thoroughly enjoyed their roast chicken yesterday and the chicken stock (made from the giblest then some of the trimmings such as the ankles and wing tips) smells delicious :D
Served only some of the brown meat for the dinner, so the 2 breasts will be used on todays meal. More chicken stock will be made with the carcass, but the stock made earlier will make a lovely chicken soup (good for the soul ;) )

The sky is smiling today, so a family walk is the order of the day plus I need to get some *real* chocolate to make full use of those egg moulds :D

Wishing you all a wonderful Wednesday :D:D
