Morning FunkyFairy, morning everyone :j
After the initial downpour this morning, it is now lovely and suny here in OxfordshireDH has gone fishing for the first time this year, it's probably the first time he hasn't worked on a Saturday for months - so he deserves a bit of R and R
With regards to his job, he was supposed to finish yesterday, but they've extended the men for another month, and we still don't really know whether they're are going to be made redundant or just terminated, but at least it's another months pay
I'm showered and dressed, DD is still in her PJ's but she's had her oreo o's for breakfast so she's a happy bunny. I'm on my third cup of coffee
Lunch will be beans on toast with a fried egg on top  and dinner will be HM pizza, will be putting the dough in the BM soon so it's all done.
Mammoth cleaning session planned today, as DH won't get home till about 9.00pm so I've no excuse for downing tools(and it will stay clean and tidy at least till he get's home :rotfl: )
I hope everyone has a great day
ByeeSquares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)0 -

Had Vicky A round last night helping daughter with her sats which are in may, Thanks vicky your a godsend.
Today im going to tackle the cupboard under the stairs and throw out what i dont need. If i keep this up might actually be organised for my move in july

Still loved, still missed and very dear

Are thinking of you today.0 -

Hi Funky fairy!
£42.50? My goodness! My dd paid £50 for a filling privately with a very good private dentist! That is only a difference of £7.50! Her treatment was far better than the NHS who have made quite a mess of her teeth so far. Unfortunately she has to have her wisdom teeth out on the NHS as we can't afford that one!
You must be quite excited with only 2 days to go till you hols! Ours is 3 weeks today :j and I am itching to sart packing now but oh won't let me!says he still needs to wear some of the clothes! (could be a bit draughty I guess!)
This morning will be spent finishing off the flatpack bedroom furniture we bought in sales, why do the instructions never make sense?
Snowy Owl - hope things look a bit brighter today! Love the thought of the 6 leprachauns (sp?) by the way!
PP-hope you are feeling a wee bit better now you are home.
Have a good day everyone! Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.
Jan grocery challenge £35.77/£1200 -
catznine - I have decided to go private as it will cost me £42.50 on the NHS and it will be a silver filling and if I pay £55 to go private it will be a white one.
PP - So glad you are home and feeling better make sure you take it easy.0 -
Morning :hello:
Woke up a little after 7 which is unusual for me on a Saturday - but to be fair I was in bed by 11 last night which is also unusual. Had one glass of wine and it knocked me flat - must have been exhausted. Woke up feeling really dehydrated too.
WM is on and I'm waiting with bated breath to see whether the weather is going to stay nice so it can go on the line. LOL - as I wrote that sentence a big black cloud came over
Breakfast will be a toasted raisin and cinnamon bagel with butter
Lunch will be fish pie (as I did in the end have something different for last night's dinner (grilled salmon with couscous)).
Dinner - sausage casserole, which I need to go and prepare for the SC later this morning.
PP - it's brilliant to see you back here in the morningsTake it easy today though.
Lots to do, back later

Morning all,
Haven't posted for over a week as just haven't had time, have lurked quickly when I could to keep a breast of whats been happening, don't know where the time has gone and its April already!!!!!
Just got rid of DS to saturday morning school, seems to be going really well and hes enjoying it. Starts at 8.45 till 12.45, do extra maths & english and then fun stuff, no uniforms and they provide drinks at break time. I think its a great idea. Hes then going swiming after with some mates so that should keep him busy and out of trouble most of the day.
Need to nip into town to pick up O/H new glasses as he broke the arm off his others during the week, they could'nt be repaired so the bank balance is a £110 lightly
FF, hope you have a fab hols
PP, good to see you back
SOMO1, hope you find out soon whats happening with O/H job, hang in there girl!!
Have a super day everyone and take care

Morning Everyone,
FF enjoy your holiday
PP hope the party is a success, not sure about party games for a Bratz party, my DD is a tomboy!
DS3 has a party today, gift wrapped and card written.
DS2 has a swimmimng lesson shortly.
DD slept over at a friends and is going to a party later.
Not sure what DS1 wants to do.
Going to town today. Non supermarket shopping is going well, organic/eco-friendly products are definately cheaper at the Supermarket, with the exception of recycled toilet roll. Meals are now planned aound what I can get from the farmshop, health food shop and market, which is good because we are trying out different recipes. Had a great time making homemade pasta yesterday, will eat it today for tea. Made Catowens baked beans and they went down really well. Another big hit has been the organic cornflakes and weetabix alternatives, we'll be sticking with the organic versions. I did have to venture into M&S for organic butter, the only other place I can buy it is 9 miles away and almost double the cost, this makes it very expensive as only my dairy intolerant son uses sunflower spread.
Well best go, and get dressed. Rest of the family now up.
Have a good day everyone.
Just got back from Health food Shop wahoo they now sell organic butter :jMFW 1/5/08 £45,789 Cleared mortgage 1/02/13

Morning all
Grey and windy here again today - I was hoping to get in the garden too!
DD's are both lounging in bed with cereal and tv's on, DH is getting ready to go to work for a few hours overtime. Will have to pop out later and take library books back, nip to the market for fruit and do a tesco/lidl shop....just a few fresh bits, milk, eggs, ham etc, still have enough in the freezer for at least 2 weeks.
Going to do some batch cooking tomorrow as I'm in for a busy week work wise, would be nice to know I can just pull something from the freezer ready made.
Just had a parking fine notice in the post - DH parked in a pay and display car park at 6.35 one evening, didn't think he'd need to pay, so instead of checking, just walked off!!! £60 fine! Oh well, suppose it could have been worse!
