    Morning All:hello:

    Hippo Birdy Frugglewump:bdaycake:

'Fraid I have fallen off the OS wagon the last few days. I have Laryngitis & feel horrible:cry: so Spud has been in disposables, HW has been ignored & dinners have tended to be pasta in bought sauces  although Hubby did manage to roast a chicken on Wednesday...he had no choice as it had already defrosted & I wasn't going to let it go to waste! He didn't manage to do any spuds or veg with it though:rolleyes: Will try & turn the leftovers into a Thai green curry this eveing as I thik I have a jar of that sauce lurking at the back of the cupboard .
Must get WM & BM on but really don't feel like doing anything:undecided Maybe if I get started I'll rediscover some of my drive:think::whistle::rotfl:

    Have a good day everyone;)

    Good evening everyone 15_4_114.gif:D

Well my day started off pretty good. Did quite a bit of batch cooking this morning. Made some more HM washing powder & packed a couple more boxes. DH arrived home around 3pm. I rang up my eldest son this arv as he works out the mines & only gets back on the w'ends. He & his partner are going through a rough patch. I was hoping things had improved.

Anyway he rang as we were eating tea. He was very upset/crying. She is leaving tomorrow on the train. He is so upset as they have a son together who just turned 1. It wasn't a surprise as I knew things haven't been right for some time. I talked with him for ages. I really feel for him as he's devasted about missing out on so much in his young life. It's her decision to leave and he can't change her mind.

I now have a raging headache (DH won't be pleased :rotfl:) Hope you all have a nice day. Your weather sounds yuk. It's been gorgeous here. :p Got all my washing dry. Got's heaps to do tomorrow. DH bought all his back for me. Wasnt that sweet of him.

    Happy Birthday Frugglewump

    Good morning all
    Happy birthday FW

WooHoo, happy day here in (nearly) sunny Berkshire today! My nutty lodger has gone, hooray, she was only on a 6 week contract, but what a long 6 weeks it has been. My other lodger has gone home for the easter hols, she will be back in 2 weeks, & is no trouble when she's here. I'm on holiday for 2 weeks, tho got to go to work on Wed, Thur, Fri & Mon, but only for half a day & it will be very quiet without the kids in school. So I hope to get lots done at home.
Came home from work yesterday with a box of strawberries, box of Celebrations, box of Malteasers & 4 hot cross buns, so all my hard work has not gone un-noticed.
Today I will strip the beds & the washing Machine will be working overtime, it will probably have to dry on the radiators as I don't think it's sunny enough to use the washing line. Not much shopping to do, just a joint of beef (MIL is coming for lunch tomorrow) & some SR flour.
Hubby is watching the GP qualifier, which I remembered to record this morning at 3:30!

Breakfast, full english for hubby, HC bun for me
Lunch, Burger in a bun for hubby, HC bun for me
Tonight, not sure about hubby but HC bun for me

Hope everyone has a good day.

Hi Yall, bright and sunny here in the emids. Woke up at 7am by mini MATHLETT whispering "IIIIIIIII'MMMMM HUNGERY" and then proceeding to list all the items on a full english followed by a continental as being enough to 'tide him over' until lunch. LOL

    Paid2clicks done
    DW emptied (second wash on)
Washing done and airer basking in the sun
Chilli in the SC for Chill/Sour Cream and Salad Wraps tonight
MATHLETTS have been to gymnastics and two now at grans
    One MATHLETT at Athletics tournament

I'm gonna pop out and deliver my Easter Cards around the village in a mo cos I've realised that I'm off to the coast on Friday for two weeks and a week tomorrow is Palm Sunday:eek: Lucky I'd written them the other night!

Out to lunch tomorrow after church. We're going to Pizza Hut to celebrate Grandad MATH's birthday (he's paying YAY!) So that's another meal on the plan can be slipped into next week to reduce the shopping bill. (double YAY!)

TM Hope today is better. I delete cookies every 5 mins when Paid2clicking so I keep a little black book with all those details in. Annoying innit!

PP Good to have ya back girl

    Happy Birthday Frugal

Hugs to all who need em

    Morning all,

Up with dd at 06:30 and managed to get to the Next sale at 08:30. Not overly inspired by it all. However, dd now has a couple more items for her wardrobe. She was so insistent on wearing the red padded gilet, that the cashier barely had chance to scan it before dd was attempting to put it on ... only problem was when we came to leave the store ... the tag was still on ... so "beep beep" ... :o

Been to a couple of carpet shops this morning to price up carpet and underlay for dd's room .... over £400 ... ouch!

Washed dd's bedding this morning ... but debating whether to attempt to hang it out or not ... it's black cloud and sun, and keeps switching between the two. Hmmm.

Came back to discover a nice piece of post though ... sample of Green and Blacks' butterscotch chocolate .... yummy! That may definitely need to be eaten again .. and again ... and again!

Right, I have the house to myself for a couple of hrs, as dd fell asleep on the way home, so DH and I swapped cars and he's gone in hunt of plaster.

So, copy of the Times has been purchased ... kettle is to be boiled ... and I'm going to read the paper .... bliss! When, and only when I've done that ... am I going to find a screwdriver and attempt to take down the empty wardrobes in dd's room, however they are far taller than me .. so we'll see how that goes :)

    Have a good day all!!

Joannasmum - cocktail party ... I'd go for suit and tie if nothing else has been specified. Years ago when we held a cocktail party, we specified Black Tie on the invitation. Have an excellent night!

Lillibet - sorry to hear you've been feeling rough with laryngitis. Here's to a big burst of energy coming your way

  • Not much done here-well not by me anyway..LOL.

Ive had a bath and washed me hair and thats about it, oh and folded the washing when hubby bought in off the line.

OH has just done me lunch of baked spud, ham, salad, coleslaw and cheddar....scrummy!!!!!!!!! He also went to Tescos and bought 2 of the BOGOF chickens and one is in the cooker as I type for our dinner later. Really fancy some parsnips but think I have some lurking in the freezer so will use a few of those up. He has also put another washload on and loaded DW.

Miss PP is playing Zoo Tycoon and has done about an hrs worth of homework-so she doesnt have to do too much through the holidays. Its not going to be much fun for her as I had another letter from Kings and they want me up there again a week monday, so I have tuesday at local hospital, thursday am local hospital, thursday pm at kings, then next monday at kings again:mad:

We do have her party next saturday though and have got items for pass the parcel which need to be wrapped this week. Also playing musical statues, charades, guess the price, wooden spoon, pin the bag to the Bratz picture, dougnut competition without licking lips, ready steady draw (5 items each and they have to make a picture with them all), the mummy game. Do you think that will fill about 1-2hrs:confused:

Anyway, got to go. LOve to all.

    Hi all

Happy bday Frugglewump, and congrats on OH job Chickadee, and hope you enjoy being a SAHM soon. Hope Lillibet feels better soon, and take it easy Pennypincher. Welcome to anyone new.

Gosh I've not posted for ages on here, I haven't been anywhere near as OS as I would like the past couple of months as have been so busy with work. Some good news- I have applied and after a tough selection process found out I have got a place on teacher training course locally in September. So I am looking forward to that, have been in current job for over 3 yrs now and really need a change.

Today- have washed 1 load of clothes that are hanging on the airer, another load is finished in the machine so will hang them out too. I need to clean the bathroom and mop the floor, it is looking filthy. This pm I am walking into town and going swimming for an hour, am on a mission to get back to my target weight as haven't made an effort to shift the Xmas gain till recently. I am trying to cook healthy but cheap food, yesterday I made yummy potato wedges with fry light instead of oil, dipped into low fat creme fraiche, tonight may make pasta with passata and tinned tuna.

Just popped into a nearby town to get a few bits, went into a cheapy shop to buy an A3 artists pad to stick lots of pictures of my life aspirations- I have cut out lots of pictures from magazines etc that I find inspiring in different ways (eg nice houses, big gardens with flowers and allotments, sports and hobbies I'd like to try, places I'd like to visit....) and been saving them ready to stick in a book. I got the idea from a positive thinking book and liked it.

Have been buying all our fruit and veg from markets lately, can't believe how much cheaper and tastier it is than Tescos. Got 6 lovely ripe, juicy plums for £1, 3 small punnets of strawberries for £1, massive bag of flavoursome vine tomatoes for £1.50... it all tastes riper than Tescos stuff and the sellers will no doubt get a fairer profit so I will never go back to buying it from Tescos.

Can't think of much more, I haven't been keeping the house as clean as I'd like but am trying to not let it bother me. I'm working FT plus 2 evenings and some extra bits (eg have a meeting all tomorrow) so never mind if a few spiders decide to move in and make cobwebs on the ceiling eh!

    Take care everyone,
    Sarah

Well I don't think I've done too badly this morning (especially considering that some Saturdays I'm still in bed about now :o)

Had yummy bagels for breakfast. Load no.2 is in the WM. Load no.1 is in the TD because it keeps starting to drizzle. Sausage casserole (with red & yellow peppers, chilli, onion, garlic, tomato, mushroom and paprika) in the SC. Have been down to Tesco & Boots for deodorant, fruit, the Times and a lottery ticket.

    Lessons learnt this morning:
    1. If you must stab yourself in the palm of your hand with a kitchen knife, it's best not to do it when the knife's just been de-seeding red chillis.
    2. It's not a good idea to open a tin of tomatoes while wearing a white dressing gown.

Will be having my lunch soon, prob with a glass of wine as there's some left over from last night. Then having a big clearout of my room while "watching" More4's repeats of "You Are What You Eat" in the background.

Get well soon Lillibet, make sure you take it easy PP, and AussieLass - I'm really sorry to hear about your DS's relationship, give him a big hug from me.

    Rzl xx
