Good Evening
Well had a very lazy non os day so far.
Got up late and seemed to be in slow mode all am, then me OD,DD & DS went out for lunch - were meant to be meeting someone but they couldnt come - could have stayed at home and had a free lunch but we were all looking forward to it so went anyway.
Came home and dropped DD off at a friends and should have been getting on with some paperwork but firstly popped on here and now its an hour later!
Anyway will now get on with my paperwork as well as washing all the bedding for our holiday home, hopefully will go down there tomm for a couple of nights now the weather is improving so not exactly an exciting Saturday night but will not have much time for paperwork over the next 2 weeks as the kids are at home.
Anyway must go, enjoy the rest of the weekend.0 -
Bargain_Rzl wrote:am now sitting down in front of the telly watching The Marriage of Figaro on BBC2 I'm not giving it my full attention, as you can see from the fact that I'm posting on here! I already saw it live - went to the first night of this Royal Opera production two months ago
I'm watching it, too!! Afraid I wasn't lucky enough to see it 'live' although my friend's son did. Deep envy. What a magnificent production. One benefit of watching it at home is that I can have a glass of wine by my side!!! I just wish I lived nearer London so I could indulge this passion (opera, not wine!) more often! Used to do it a lot years ago.
Today has been quite good, although not totally OS. Beautiful day - sunny and windy, so got washing dried outside. Sainsbury's this morning - spent just under £40, so that was okay. It all went a bit pear shaped this afternoon, though, as I had to take OH (also known as: Grumpy Old Git) to get a new watch as his had packed up. Tried to convince him it was an early birthday present. Oh well. . .
All in all a good day (rare these days!)0 -
:j Just had a lovely day sorting through some old family photos! Have e mailed them around the family and now it looks like I could be meeting up with one of my american cousins in Orlando! I haven't seen her for 33 years! had no idea that sorting out my photos could lead to something so good.:D
PP - Well done! I too have been catching up with family and friends after some years out of contact (for various reasons) and you know time does heal, it was not as bad as I thought it would be! In fact it was quite therapeutic! But don't tire yourself out! (she says adding to the well meaning nagging:D )
HAPPY BIRTHDAY FRUGGLEWUMP!Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

Well I've been awake since 4am. DH left his alarm on his mobile & it went off 3 times. Very fetching loud tune. He slept through it of course & is still alseep now. Or he could be dead as I kicked him repeatedly in the groin, smashed the clock radio next to him over his head & then jumped on his back.
Just kidding..........but I felt like doing that.
I have another headache so took some nurofen with brekky. Mmmmm. It's starting to ease now. One load of dirty jeans in WM, probably have 2 more loads to go. Nice sunny day so they all will dry. My sausage casserole in the SC last night wasn't a success. It was Ok but not a fav. I think it was the can tomatoes, I should have put in tom soup instead. Oh well, I have 2 portions in the freezer to eat now. Not too sure if DH is leaving late this arv or 2am tomorrow morning. Will keep on surfing for a bit while all is quiet. Bye.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Morning Everyone
Well didnt sleep well last night and had some vivid dreams that were quite shocking:eek: but feel abit better now. OH has got up with me and is making me a brew in my fav cup and saucer:D and a couple of biccies on the side.
Mr PP has put the WM on and then will be hung on line, DW will be on later too. Downstairs needs a quick sweep and thats about it. Still all clean and tidy from cleaner being here friday.
We have BIL and family coming round later and are going dutch on a take-away (Indian or Chineese??) as Im not well enough to cook a big dinner for us all-they have 2 kids as well. So this will probably cost about £20 but havent had a treat like this for a while. We have a load of booze in as I always make sure we have decent red/white if anyone pops round or we go to them. Latest deal was from Tesco online wine and was Wolf Bass 6 of each for £2.80 a bottle after using a voucher code found on here.
Have the nurse coming at 8 for my daily jab and am still working out DD's party for next Saturday. May start a thread later today and ask for advice on doing things as easy as possible IYSWIM.
Breakie: Granary Bread (reduced 10p) with Peanut Butter
Lunch:Baked Spud, salad, ham and coleslaw or Roast Chicken sarnie with salad and cranberry sauce-or both..LOL
Dinner:Take-away
Will pop back in through out the day. HUgs to all.

Morning Penny Pincher, Morning everyone!
Great old style day yesterday - OH was busy making wine
I made some celery soup for lunch (extra portion for the freezer). We went to the farmers market in the morning and came away with free range eggs, 4 bags of lamb mince and a gammon joint. Didn't need much else in the meat area as still plenty in the freezer. Had the gammon for tea and there is plenty left for other meals.
Today we are off out for the day so we will be having a picnic.
Have a lovely OS day everyone :hello:Enjoying an MSE OS life0 -
How are you Penny Pincher? I've just realised you've been away in hospital!:o I've not been on the boards as much this week following all the threads, so I'm in catch up mode.Enjoying an MSE OS life0

It can't be easy for you or your family Penny Pincher. You have a good family around you by the sound of it, which I know makes all the difference.
I feeling great at the momment, touch wood, I think the occasional days of sunshine we are getting really lift my mood. I'm lucky, my trips to hospital are mainly for 'checking of status' and are local. I hate needles too :eek:Enjoying an MSE OS life0
