    Hi everyone

    Welcome CCStar

    :bdaycake: Happy birthday Frugglewump :bdaycake:

Not on much today as I've been painting a very large window. Coat one done.
Now I need to try to dash to the shops (with new shopper icon10.gif) before the big black clouds that have loomed all day finally break. What's the betting they wait until I'm just out the door icon9.gif.

Sounds as if peeople are having a good day on the whole, that is really nice to hear. PP, you are supposed to be resting Hun (nag, nag, nag, nag icon12.gif)

    OK, where's my brolly. icon7.gif
My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead :D

Did you see in the local paper that we are having a farmers market each month selling fruit, veg, meat, dairy and fish?

    PP
    xx

I saw that. An article about it is here.

Not only did I receive a free sample of Green & Blacks through the post today, I got a box of celebrations from work because I've have 100% attendance all year. :D

ETA the butterscotch chocolate smells awful, and I've never said that about choccie before.

    happy birthday FW

at OH's for the weekend, and he's getting tetchy that i've been on here for half an hour reading stuff!
went to a farmer's market and farm shop this morning, only bought goose eggs, and not beacuse we needed them but beacuse they were HUGE and i wanted to see what they were like (and at 80p each they'd better be great.....did 2 hours of extra paid work last week so hopefully i will be able to cover my bad shopping habits of this weekend - got some chocolate yesterday just becasue i felt like it..... although pre-MSE a shopping spree that made me feel guilty would have cost a hell of a lot mroe than about £8 in total!! :))

glad to hear all is well.... i'd better go spend time with "neglected" OH!

PP and Katgoddess - a farmer's market in Bexleyheath is definitely a step forward! Shame it's going to be on a weekday though  which means I'll never be able to get there anyway! (Can't really complain, I work so near Borough Market as it is!) Am off work on 4th May though so can check it out.

Having sorted out loads of old newspapers and wine bottles :o for recycling, done some washing up, and am now sitting down in front of the telly watching The Marriage of Figaro on BBC2 (not helped by the sound of local youths charging up and down my road on motorbikes ). I'm not giving it my full attention, as you can see from the fact that I'm posting on here! I already saw it live - went to the first night of this Royal Opera production two months ago :D

We're still getting occasional cloudbursts so latest load of washing is in the TD

SweetPea - Curry Queen's not been round here much, but has been posting on other boards - I was looking up a couple of her old posts the other day, and she's certainly not been away completely.

Back later, back to watching the opera now - the perfect way to indulge my favourite hobby without spending any money :D

Oh no - I had my free sample last week and I thought it was gorgeous. Mind you - I've never indulged in Green and Blacks choc before - so if the others are nicer, I think I foresee some more G&B purchases coming on :D
  • I agree Ticklemouse, I had a free sample the other week and I thought it was gorgeous - having also never tasted G & B's before I then treated myself to a full size bar at 2 quid
Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )
Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)

I've had other varieties of green and blacks before. Don't know what was wrong with this one. I don't normally turn down chocolate.
