    Morning everyone

Been up since 7 with the mouselings, who are now about to start dressing up - they seem to be fighting over who uses a particular sword though :(

It's been hammering down most of the night - I'm surprised there's still some garden left LOL. At least it seems to have stopped for now, but I'm not expecting lots of sunshine anytime soon.

Had one of those days yesterday when everything went wrong :( Went to pay my CC online but as I've cleared the cookies recently, I needed my internet account number to get in. I have it written down in 2 books - both of which have disappeared (thanks kids) Got that sorted then one payment wouldn't go through - on phone again :( Then I found I had misplaced a debit card - had to cancel that :( Wasted an hour on PC/phone getting everything sorted - then went for a comfort break and flushed loo - and it over-flowed :( Arrrggghhhh. Went on school run (pretty uneventful thankfully) came home and started making garlic bread and the press fell to bits and to cap it all my microwave started sparking :( So,I have to hunt out my Which report cos they did a best buy on combi micro's last month. I really wanted to buy another one now - NOT!! Oh yes - and having shampooed all the downstairs carpets the other day, next doors 13yo came in and trampled mud through the hall

Anyway, I have to go into town later - need some more iron-on name tags and DS1 needs new school shoes and if I can find a coat in a sale somewhere - I'll snaffle that too. He's off to Beavers camp tonight - his first night away from both of us. I've washed his sleeping bag and have his things all ready - once I have the new name tags in :) They get to sleep on a bed in a hut rather than under canvas - which will be just as well given the weather :D

Have the usual load of laundry to do and will put BM on today too. Have some ham shank and mushy peas ready in the fridge for lunch and may do a chicken/turkey curry for tea to use up the last of the bits of pre-cooked meat in the fridge and freezer. I may even get around to sorting out and filing some paperwork today - but hey, I'll not promise, cos I've ben meaning to do it for ages :D

Hope everyone has a good day. FF - I think private is the way to go for your tooth - it's not THAT much more. Unfortunatley, our dentisit went private and there's no-one else we can go to so we have to pay £11 pcm each for the priviledge of 2 check ups a year and 20% off any treatment :(

PP - great to see you posting in a morning. Can't you get Mr PP to register AS Mr PP :D:D

Love and ((hugs)) to all. I'm off to have a better day today - I hope

    TM

    Morning All

Havent read the thread yet so hope everybody is ok

Me and DD are fed and watered and DH is having his lie in. The nappies are in the dryer and I'm about to fold the clothes on the airer from yesterday. Got some cleaning to do and then I want to nip into town to have a look in the Next sale.

Tonight is very exciting as we are going to a Cocktail Party at a friends. Apparently we have to dress "posh" does anybody know what men are supposed to wear at cocktail parties, I've got a nice dress that I got at xmas from a charity shop but DH has only got one good shirt and tie so that will have to do with his suit. Love my friend to bits but shes got no idea about what its like to live on a budget with a child, she only told me about this party on Wednesday and expects me to organise a sitter and magic clothes out of thin air. Anyway not moaning because its better than sitting at home.

    Have a good day everyone

    Good morning everyone,

    Happy birthday Frugglewump

SOMO1 - glad OH has another months work.

PP - hope you have a good day, take it easy, and at least the nurses visit is over for the day!!!!

Ticklemouse - hope you have a better day today

FF - shame about the filing, but hope it gets done soon for you x

(((((HUGS))))) to anyone i have forgotten, or anyone who would like one!!! (we all need a virtual hug sometimes!!!!)

Well, ive been lazy this morning, didnt get out of bed until 9.10 and have been sat on the computer ever since in my pjs drinking tea!!!! Really should do something, i have 2 loads to go in the WM, and so far its a lovely day outside, not going to risk putting it out tho, as we are out this afternoon, im taking DS to see Plymouth play Wolves, and DD is going to my friends for the afternoon. Im not a huge footie fan, but its nice to do something with DS as i dont get the chance very often to do something with just him. The house is lean tho, and will hopefully stay that way as we wont be home later, so less time to make a mess!!!!

Hope everyone has a good day, take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    Morning everyone!

    Happy birthday Frugglewump

Late start here this morning, DS has gone to work - he leaves the house at about 7am.
Proper April weather - sunshine & showers. Now, do I put the washing out on the line or not? Hmmmm...
Lots to do, as we are away next week & will be leaving early Monday morning. Got onion sets to plant, house to tidy, things to get sorted out to pack, & things that have to be done before we go cos it will be too late if I wait till we get back. If I remember to do them....

    Have a good day!

    Morning everyone!

Well, what a day we had yesterday. One in, one out so to speak.

I handed in my notice from my present job. It's too much hard work being a mum who works full-time. I have quite a stressful, although well-paid job but enough is enough. So in three months from now I will be a SAHM. I can't wait! The only time off I have ever had was three months maternity leave when DS was born 10 years ago. I started work at 15 so this break has been a long time coming.

Then in the afternoon, OH was offered a fantastic job. He did a masters degree last year but found the field difficult to break into work-wise so he has been doing a different job until now. Anyway, he got a call from a former colleague about the possibility of a job, sent off a CV on Wednesday, had an interview on Friday and got a verbal offer yesterday afternoon. Wow!

Unfortunately it will mean him working away during the week, but in the line of work it is, that was always inevitable.

So there it is, a complete change of life for both of us on the same day.

Having a simple weekend here though. We will probably go out for tea tonight to celebrate but apart from that, we would like to get into the garden, and I have a pile of stuff to go to the charity shop. I could probably do a car boot with it but time is too precious at the mo so I will let the charity benefit instead.

DS played his keyboard in a school concert on Thursday. I was so nervous for him. He did really well and deserved the applause he got at the end.

BM on and just about to make some vegetable broth for lunch.

    Have a fantastic day all!
