    :hello: Gooooood Morning :D:D:D

    WB PP

apple - enjoy your day out today and your picnic :):D

Not the weather for picnics here, it's been raining through the night and is damp and grey.

Been a busy little OS'er the past few days so no computer time. As much as I love MSE, it is the root cause of getting sidetracked :o:o

In the past few days, I have:-
    • made a batch of lamb stock for the freezer
    • decluttered 3 drawers
    • given the washing machine a thorough clean
    • worked on my xs sampler
    • Spring Cleaned the bathroom
    • made up solutions using the vinegar & bicarb I bought in bulk earlier in the week (all the bottles are simply reused from commercial products. All the 'recipes' are written on the bottles with a "Sharpie")
    • taken final bag of clothing to TKMAXX as today is the final day of Get/Give
    • been swimming with the boys & co.
    • Joined in an Easter Egg Hunt/egg decorating at one of the schools
Roast today, so going to utilise the oven fully and do some baking. :D

The other week when I was at a Craft Fair, I bought some craft magazines for a bargain price. Browsing through one of them yesterday, noticed they now have a website Country Bumpkins so I'll be having a nosey around there later. ;)

In Asda yesterday I picked up a couple of egg making kits @ 2 for £3. Each 'kit' makes enough for 3 eggs so 6 eggs in total. Drawback is, it's chocolate "flavour" rubbish, but that will be good enough for the lads to practise with. They are both keen to make their friends an Easter Egg and this will be perfect plus keep them occupied too :D

Reminds me, must dig out my recipe for Simnel Cake!!!!

Catch you all later  :D:D:D

Gorgeous day here in Oxon :D Will definately get some washing dried on the line today :D

DH went fishing yesterday and caught 2 fish (I was delighted 'cause he's always in such a mood if he doesn't catch ;) )

Took DD to get her hair cut and paid 9 quid  it was only a trim  Never mind it does look good and apart from me cutting her fringe (poor child) she hasn't had it cut for a year!!!

Today, I'm going to catch up on the ironing (well some anyway) clean the bathroom and both bedrooms.

    B: Cereal
    L: Bacon Sarnies
D: Roast Chicken, HM Yorkies, Roast Spuds, Stuffing, Brussels, Carrots, Peas, Bread Sauce and Gravy

I Love Sundays - shame about going back to work tomorrow - and 'cause it's the school holidays DD will be going to the childminder all week  , but I have the week after that off - yipee!!

    Catch you all later

  • Morning Everyone :o

I'm not usually up this early on a Sunday but the sunlight woke me, so I thought I'd do something useful!

Hoping to have a fairly relaxed day today, as have a manic week and am still recovering from a very dodgy chinese meal on Friday night  At least I seem to be able to look at food today so thats a good start!

B: Toast for me - Bacon Sandwiches for OH
L: Usually nothing if I'm cooking a big Sunday Dinner as we pig out!
D: Roast Chicken, Roast Potatoes, Mash, Yorkies, Stuffing, Veg & Gravy.

Have a great Sunday everyone xxx
Its nice to be important but more important to be nice!

    Good morning

Am "full of the joys" this morning so am going to try to put all the energy to good use..... what's the betting I get distracted in about 5 mins flat!

Off to Farmers Market shortly to stock up on some root veg. Ours doesn't have the exact same stalls every week so it is always intersting to see what is new. Theat reminds me, must have a browse throught the freezer threads, one stall does lovely unpasturised Guernsey milk and I want to start buying and freezing it in useable portions.

Might have to have a bit of a Stardrops search as well as am intrigued!

Right, off in search of brekkie. Have a lovely day everyone icon7.gif
My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead :D

Had to get up in the night with DS3, he is only 4 and had a nose bleed. DH went out last night and woke me up, telling me all about it.

BM went on timer last night and the kitchen now smells lovely, it'll be ready anytime.

    Morning all

PP - hope you enjoy your takeaway - hope the nurse was ok this morning -rest up and take it easy

Queenie - you sound as if you have been very busy

    Polly enjoy your Golden Wedding

    Apple - enjoy your picnic

Woke up to the smell of HM soup in the SC this morning - I am hungary now and dont know if I can wait till the others get upto have something to eat.

It looks a little overcast here today - will see if it brightens up later and may wash bedding and hang out - didnt hang out washing yesterday as OH said it was going to rain all day - the sun split the skies from the minute we left the house at lunchtime until sunset. !!

DSD is going to a party this afternoon so her dad will take her to that - it finishes at 530pm so dinner will be when they get back.

b/l - bacon and egg sandwiches
d - roast pork, sweet potato mash (never tried it before so will give it a go), broccolli and HM yorkies (the kids love these and I have to make them with every sunday dinner)

Dont know if I mentioned it but last week DSS said that he loved my cooking as I do everything from scratch and it is not out of tins or jars :o

DSD needs packers for the next 2 days as she is at a drama workshop at school so I will be making some biscuits later today to put in that .

Just had to let killer cat in there - they had all been outside for a bit but I thought they where all in so I shut the door - then this little face appeared at the window.

    Have a lovely day all

    Take care

    Good morning everyone,

Well after my lovely childrens turned into the children from hell last Sunday, we are attempting Mothers Day again today, and so far it has been lovely!!!! They made me tea and toast in bed, and had (with the help of my mum a few weeks ago) wrapped up some wine, chocolates and biscuits so we all sat in my bed munching toast and chocolates YUM!!!! much nicer than last week, and they have promised to be good and so far so good, all is peaceful here!!!
Mind you, im feeling a bit sick, too many chocies so its my own fault, im not used to eating anything as soon as i get up (i tend to have breakfast about 2 hours after i get up) and ive probably eaten more than i normally would but never mind, it kept the children happy!!!!
Have lovely friend coming for lunch today, she split from her fiance soon after coming out of hospital, so it has been a really upsetting time, but she is doing really well, and he has the children today, so she is coming here, and im sure a nice roast (chicken) and glass of wine will help keep her mind off it all!!!
Need to put a load in the WM, and get the BM on, and upstairs is desperate for a hoover, so im going for my shower now, and to crack on with all that, so i can have a nice relaxing afternoon with my children who are going to be angels today, (hmmmmm) and friend.
Hope everyone has a lovely day,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    Morning all!

Penny Pincher - sorry to hear about all the trips and jabs, must be very trying for you. I'm amazed by how much you always think of others, your family are very luck to have you. My ds is having friends around next weekend for his birthday and we're doing a curry, with lots of diff dishes for them all, that way they will feel very grown up! DD1 had tapas with her bday bbq last summer, and that went down really well too. Good luck with your planning!

Well today dds are all being really helpful and tidying up manically, ds is in a sulk for some reason (probably because he's 12!), and dd1 and dd2 are now cleaning out the animals - amazing!

Will be off to take dd3 to a princess party in a bit, and will then be cooking a nice roast dinner, then plan to relax and read a book whilst the children watch a dvd quietly! I live in hope!

Queenie, I have promised my sister I would help make her own easter Eggs this year, so I guess a trip to adsa is in order today!

Ive had a busy few days, going on holiday in June and been having a few problems the Virgin and Thomas Cook, with general lack of communication and it looks like Im going to be moving out later on this year to house sit for a friend for a year , which will hopefully give us chance to get our house done up and ready to sell as at the moment, its really getting to us living in a building site!

Have a geat day everyone, I have a day of spring cleaning ahead of me!
