    Hello again everyone!!!!!

PP - glad you are taking it easy, and it does sound like you are prioritising (sp). Sometimes having visitors can make you feel better even if you cant (or shouldnt) be doing anything, and im sure, as long as you rest up beforehand, and basically delegate everything to everyone else beforehand you will be able to cope with DDs birthday party!!!! These days are so important to all of you, and i do hope you can get enough rest beforehand so that it can be a good day for you as well as DD.

Queenie - goodness you have been busy!!!! Mind you, ive started getting ready for Easter, im going to attempt to make Easter chicks this year with the little ones, i think chocolate for a 2 year old and two 3 year olds would be a bit ambitious this year!!!! Although i think if im near Asda next week, i might see if they still have some of those kits as im sure DS and DD would love them!!!!!

Must say, thank you to everyone for their Mothers Day wishes, i have been having a lovely day!!! DS and DD are being very good, ive had some lovely pressies, my friend came round, so we shared a lovely bottle of wine (and lots of chocolates!!!) and watched Million Dollar Baby, which we both enjoyed. Such a difference from last week, when my children changed into little devils and did everything they could to annoy and upset me!!! Hense the fact that my mothers day is today!!!!!
Like i said, ive had a lovely day, children are happy because they have been able to go outside to play, its been a lovely spring day again, so we have been very lucky.
Well, im off for a nice soak in the bath, hope everyone has a lovely evening.
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxx

    Hello everybody :hello:

Went up to Golders Green after church to search the charity shops - got a couple of great things, see my post on the charity shop thread!

Just put the oven on to preheat for the rolled lamb breast I'm doing for our (my & housemate's) Sunday dinner. It had been in the freezer for a while and I was saving it for Easter Sunday but then I realised I wouldn't actually be home to cook that day (as am singing morning service and evensong in two different parts of London!) so I thought Passion Sunday was as good a time as any to use it up!

PP - I hope you really are taking it easy. I know it must be awfully frustrating for you when it seems everybody is telling you what to do, but you know it's just cos we care ;)

Queenie - well done on all the OSing!

catowen - glad Mother's Day Mark II seems to be going well ;)

Right, off to cook dinner, bye for now xx

Boohoo, the day is slowly taking a downward turn, we were supposed to be going to the in-laws tomorrow to take MIL's birthday present, unfortunately DH has come home from the concert and the car is making a grinding noise around the fan belt/alternator area. I am not risking driving it up the M5 like that so it has to go into the garage first thing in the morning. The only other day they are free this week is Thursday which is the day the Antiques Roadshow are filming here and I wanted to take my teddy in :(

    Hello everyone

It's nice to see so many peeps in good happy moods today, specially PP and Catowen. I'm having a v.easy day, didn't get up until all hours, did a minute amount of housework, then toddled off to B&Q to see what plants they have in suitable for windowboxes - what a boring collection is all I say. I've got some seeds so perhaps I should just try those out - they are from my garden in London (sniff, I miss it!) but since I moved two years ago I hope they actually do something.

The weather hasn't been v.nice here, at this precise moment it's sunny, but two minutes ago it was chucking down a v.heavy shower. I desperately need to do some exercise but I quite simply can't be bothered and the thought of getting wet is the final decider.

I have to go back to hellhole tomorrow and face incompetent boss (she's not really evil, just v.useless at her job, she really is clueless and often says the stupidest things in meetings, and makes some strange decisions etc, but she's not a bad person underneath). I really, really wish I didn't have to go back ever.

Enjoy what's left of your Sunday everyone.

    :rotfl: Hi all!
Have had a really great OS weekend. Usually I'm running around like a scalded cat but for some reason it's been different this week.
The small person got his report on Friday and I'm just so proud of him. With his Aspergers it can be a lonely difficult road sometimes and yet his teacher wrote that he has been one of the most rewarding children he has taught and he's been a teacher for 30 years. Forgive me if I sound like I'm boasting- it's just when you've got an SEN child something like that is a huge milestone!
I've been rootling around in my Be-ro recipe book the last couple of days and consequently we've now got an orange and coconut cake and OH made the Cornish pasties for tea with meat left over from my Mum and Dad.
I also have found a book from the library about wine making but it covers mead, cider, beer and liquers aswell. It looks very interesting and I hadn't realised that you could make wine from things like rosemary. I could be tempted by this wine making lark later in the year. As Oscar Wilde said "Drinking is a mug's game...the bigger the mug the better! :rotfl:
Today has been a gardening day as we've finished sorting out the front borders. Gave me a good chance to nose around the garden centre. I had to be a good girl []must pay for the fence...must pay for the fence] but did invest in a couple of unusual pots.
Lovely to see you back PP!

They have egg decorating kits too on the same offer (usual price £1.98 but now 2 for £3) Didn't take too much notice to be honest because it wasn't what the boys were after but they would definately be more do-able for your little one's than the whole chocolate mould ones. Think those one's were based on boiled eggs and the kit contained the odds and bobs to decorate them with.

Delighted to read that your Mother's Day was a successful and happy one :):D:D:D
