    Hello and Morning!
This is my first post on this particular thread, although I do post on lots of others.

Well today is the first day of a "new positive thinking approach" to my life and becoming a better person. Had a lousy rough year in 2005 including losing my job (of 15 years) last november - but am enjoying being at home for the first time in 20 years! spending time with the kids, doing lots of HM baking etc, great fun, and generally finding myself again!

Really want to lose some weight and get fitter - put on my new pedometer to see how many steps I actually do in a day!

Have started my first grocery challenge this month, got lots of tips and new menus, which has been really fun trying. Going to do meal planner this morning once DS has gone to nursery.

Gotta go pay a couple of bills this morning too. Must avoid going to Tesco/Asda and spending!

Got lots of other things that I want to get sorted in my life - Going to write a list and tick them off as I go and achieve them and become a happier person and enjoy life!

Phew!!!! They say the longest journey always begins with the first "step" - here I go!

    Have a great day everyone!

    I've been Money Tipped!
PP - (((((HUGS))))) You are being so brave! I can't stand needles and you are having to cope with this daily. Good luck with the party planning and games! We used to play one game with the kids that involved them, one at a time, dressing up in a pile of dressing up clothes and then sitting down at a small table and trying to eat from a bar of chocolate using only a plastic knife and fork!!! I can't remember the name of this game but it involved much laughter.

Catowen - So sorry your day ended like that, what a shame! Hope you manage ok today at the doctors, another brave lass facing needles!

Today is a quiet one, just sorting out more draws aka (in this house anyway;) ) doing an Anthea! Wonder what treasures I'll find to distract me today!

Breakfast - leftover fruit cobbler (BS's recipe) and a fruit smoothie
    Lunch- Spag bog (leftovers)
Dinner - Last nights beef - probably in remains of a chinese sauce with rice.

Queenie - nice to see you posting again! I am doing my menu plan daily at the moment as this fits around my energy levels but must try to look further ahead.

Well looking forward to reading through this recordbreaking thread tonight!
Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

    Morning all

    welcome shez
PP i am happy to see youre home

to everyone else - i hope that monday morning feeling soon wears off and you have a great day at work or at home.

I have just had a week of being pretty non - os with OH over from the USA. He headed back yesterday and i am now home alone for three days before i then head over there for a month. So i have a ton to do these three days.

Plan of action for today is
    take delivery of new freezer.
make a pineapple upside down cake and bake some bread.
    tackle the pile of ironing.
    fill bird feeders.

    Breakfast - porrige
Lunch - cheese and pickle sandwich
Dinner - bubble and squeak, pork chop , pineapple upside down cake and custard.

Depending on what time they bring my freezer i might also pop to matalan as i am in dire need of some new undies. Isnt it funny how you only notice that when you have company? lol

anyway the sun is shining beautifully afer that horrible wind and rain last night - so i am off to walk the dog.

    have a lovely day

:hello: Welcome to the OS Daily Thread, Shez :hello:

Having a positive focus is by far the greatest gift you can give yourself (and those around you) :T

All the very best for your "journey" . Looking forward to sharing it with you along the way. And I think it's great that you shared your first step in Old Style :D:D:D

catznine - be careful about "doing and Andrea" - last episode I saw, "doing an Andrea" tempted one of the contestants into wanting to give AT a wedgie!!! :o

    Hi all
I'll try to post every morning for the next 2 weeks as I'm not at work, I've just got to do cover for 4 mornings. So I'm going to try & make an appointment to get my hair cut, not very OS as it always cost's an arm & a leg, but not had it cut for over a year now & I'm much too old to have the hippy look.
I'm going back to a more stringent OS once I've had my hair cut. Hubby needs to get a qualification & it looks like it's going to cost £5k not quite sure how we are going to find that, but we'll try & we only need to find it a thousand at a time, so we may be able to do it. Fingers crossed!
Hugs to everyone who needs them.
    Sue

Good morning everyone! Hope you are all ok.

I'm off out for the day seeing as I have a day off work. Popping down to Chatham as I have heard there is a Monsoon Clearance store there, and going to have a wonder around Rochester afterwards all tourist like. Going to spend some of my profit share bonus. :D Going to make myself a packed lunch. I was promised sunshine today. Obviously not.
