I confess I am a lurker too! I like to read the thread to get ideas and pick up tips. I'm a stay at home mum for most of the week but on Saturdays I work in a public library. My daughter is 6 and at school.
Today is clean up after the weekend day so I am changing the sheets, washing, and looking for any rubbish to throw recycle. I've already had to ring the council as the path we use for school was blocked with some rubbish that some kind person had left, strangely it looked like it was someone's compost bin on top of dog dirt...lovely! The council said they would put it on their list, I wonder will still be there later??
Breakfast toast and coffee
Lunch sandwich or some left over muffins and eggs
tea lancashire hotpot with leftover lamb from yesterday's roast.
Have a good day everyone0 -

I'm afraid I must admit to being a part-time lurker sometimes these days! Sounds a bit naughty, doesn't it!:D
Today is a gorgeous day here so I've got loads of washing blowing merrily in the breeze. Lately it been more like gale force winds so at least the washing will stay on the line today!
Bread maker is on and beginning to smell good.
I've Stardropped the kitchen, too! Even gave the oven an extra special going over (I've been rather lazy lately and it's beginning to show:eek: ). Amazing what a bit of blue sky and sunshine can do to motivate me! Bathroom cleaned as well and done a quick whizz with the hoover (funny how we still say that we 'hoover' when we most likely use some other make these days!).
Hopefully if the weather stays like this over the next few days I am hoping to go to the New Forset with my friends and their lovely dog. I am anxious to try out my new telephoto lens if we manage to see some deer.
Off to 'lurk' elsewhere now!0 -

Goodnight everybody
I'm off to bed. Got all my chores done for the day. Still no word from the real estate. Surprise!!!! I've just finished reading TG. It was really good. Just going through it now writing a few recipes etc to keep.
Work tomorrow and then I need to pop into town to do a few chores. Made pasta carbonara & pear cobbler for tea tonight.Welcome to all the new ones posting. I really enjoyed reading about your day.
I had a cat called Smokey when I was little. It just looked like your's Smokey112. Enjoy the rest of your day. :wave:Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Hi everybody and welcome to all the newbies. I have loads of chocolates if anyone would like one. I'm not much of a choc fan but it was my birthday on Friday and I got some lovely gifts, chocolate and flowers.
Had a nice weekend celebrating becoming an OAP. think there is a mistake on my birth certificate.
Today I am pricking out some seedlings, rescueing the washing from the April showers, and not much else.
Dinner will be steak and ale pies bought from the farmers market yesterday. I don't usually buy pies but these looked so nice. I am doing new potatoes, broccalli and sugarsnap peas with them.
Have a great Monday.0 -

Hiya everyone and a special OS hello to all the newbies/lurkers
Been a busy bee today - done my cleaning at mum's and rushed back topick up DS2 and give him lunch. Got to go back tomum's in a bit to take her to the solicitors for another mammoth signature sessionThen back here to make a chicken and veg pie for tea - then off to pick kids up from school. DS's are going to a birthday party after tea, at a play centre so they will all be knackered when it finishes at 7.30
Took the bull by the horns last night and have ordered a new microwave. It should be here by friday. It will be strange to be able to read the display and see what's going on inside after years without eitherIt's a panasonic, so hopefully will be as good as the BM's
Ok - well, my PC is playing up so this post is getting hard to type. Must go and make some mash before I go out again and try and vac up the crumbs DS2 has just made.
Hope you all have a good day and save me some wine and chocs for later girls :T

Hi All,
In the middle of my weekly big clean so no time to stop!
Been to the dentist, 20 mins of torture cost me £76! As OH said, it would be cheaper to get another set.
Have cooked a small ham joint for sandwiches, never done this before but am trying to avoid processed nasties.
Best push on and get the vac out!
Have a good day all, nice to see some new faces too.
(Not that there was anything wrong with the old faces!)0 -
:hello: Hello to everyone! :hello:
I've been into town and picked up a few bits and pieces. In Boots, I managed to get OH 3 deodrants in their "sale". They were also on offer, so I got 3 branded deodrants for £2.50 but they normally retail for £2.48! Bargain! Also picked up some eggs from the grocer as we've got some left over bananas that I need to turn into banana muffins thanks to a recipe on here.
Oh, and I sneaked into the local coffee shop. Was very good and I didn't have a muffin  just a toasted teacake. I've also cleaned the library out of decent books. I may as well plan what I want to do on my honeymoon - we're going to Rome for 4 nights, then the Tuscan/Umbrian border for 7 nights. I need to know what there is to do (and how far away are the local vineyards
).
