Hi all and welcome to all newbies :hello:
Sorry to hear yesterday didnt go as planned Catowen, though relieved to hear no serious damamge done to DD/DS, my little DS thinks that trees are gods natural climbing frames aswell. So have spent many an hour in accident and emergency with him ( though thank god there has never been anything broken).
Had a lovely day yesterday, I was going out with friends who cancelled so invited sis and BIL out for something to eat instead as it was his birthday on the Saturday. Today has been a quiet day not much done but house is tidy and most or the Ironing is done.
Got to rush and pick up DD/DS from afterschool so enjoy whats left of the dayGC: £400/ £00 -
I'm another lurker. I don't post because generally I don't feel I've anything worthwhile to add and my computer time is limited.
Today been to Aldi, and spent more than i intended. DD is aving her afternoon nap, so I've been having a quick read on here. Got to go and sort out my budget for April and look at EA websites.0 -
Hi Everyone
Hope evryone is having a good day including PP( even if you are on the sofa resting!!!!) Hugs to all who need them.:grouphug:
At the moment I am frozen & can't get warm as a result of going to the hosp this morning to have a 24hour ecg fitted to see when I get the chest pain (the technician said to pres the button when I get palpitations so they will know when it happens, when I asked if I have to press for chest pain as well she said not really necessary as it won't pick up the activity of chest pain- this makes no sense as this is supposed to be what the Dr wants recorded!!).
On the way home OH decided to go to Burger King as after dropping me back home he has to go to work til 8.30pm & won't get the chance for food in the meantime. But will let him off this time as we don't do this very often :rotfl:
It looks lovely outside but I couldn't believe how cold it was ( disadvantage of being stuck in doors all day every day).
I went recently for my DLA tribunal & got awarded low rate care, the welfare rights lady whoe represented me was astounded that that was all I got (unfortunately consultant wasn't helpful & wanted £75 for letter which I could not afford & GP said he used to work on DLA tribunals & Knew the letter from GPs was not taken notice of so refused to write a letter - so I am grateful that I got anything. Have got to go back to hosp tomorrow for 9am so have had to book taxi for 7.30am  as OH is on an early from 7am.
Plaese excuse the typo errors but my brain isnot working well athe mo. I know I have made a cup of coffee but for the life offf me I can't remember where I have put it. I'll sign off now & go look for it!!!Love to save & love a bargain0 -
Hi all, and a big welcome to the newbies and lurkers!
Nothing special going on today. DH and I went to B&Q this morning and bought a couple of grab rails to install in the bathroom (when he gets around to it) so we can get out of the bath more easily (sometimes a shower with a hand-held shower just doesn't quite do it!).
Just put some lamb leg chops in the SC. Quite pleased about those as they had a yellow sticker and I put them straight in the freezer - not often I can find any decent reduced meat as Bargain Rzl usually gets there first :rotfl:
P-P - Hope it's going okay with the drip - such a nuisance not being able to move around as you want to! Thinking of you, Hon.
Just about to take 2nd load of washing out of the WM but not sure if it will dry outside - it's difficult for me to hang washing on the line anyway so might just use the TD.
Went to Netto on Sat with my Chic shopper and got the last big pack of Persil in the shop! £6.99 for the (in theory) 75 wash size, and 2 jars of Gold Blend for £3, it all helps!
Hope you all enjoy the rest of your day. and ((((((HUGS)))))) to those who need them.

Phew - what a massive thread it is today
It's lovely to see so many newbies/lurkers
Normally I would have posted early morning, but was too busy this morning, then I went to work after dropping DD off at the childminders
Not long got back in. Dinner for DD tonight will be toad in the hole, little left over batter from yesterdays yorkies and a couple of sausages bunged into a little le creuset dish that came free with my casserole dish years ago and never used before as it's so small - but perfect for DD's toad in the holeDH and I will be having chicken parmigiano with tagliatelle yum yum!!
DH is currently at a job interview :T - he' so nervous as he hasn't had an interview for at least 15 years  I'm so concerned for him - but told him he just has to be himself - I'm watching the clock tick and can't wait to hear news - I hope it's not a "we'll be in touch" as the waiting nearly kills me :rotfl:
Anyway I bought him a few cans of beer for when he gets home - good or bad news.
Just about to stick another load in the WM and clean the bathroom.
BTW it's been an absolutely beautiful day here in Oxon - damn shame I didn't put any washing on the line
Take care everyoneSquares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)0 -
Afternoon
Fingers crossed for your OH SOMO1!!
Havent had a good day here today. Nurse came and went in about 1 hr but has left me wiped out. Just been on sofa dozing and reading. Have to be up hospital in morning and dont want to go, but suppose someone has to keep these doctors in toe:beer:
OH took DD to Bluewater in the end and got a few bargains. OH put washing on the line and is all upstairs ready to to go away or be ironed. He has just popped another load on. House is still tidy and clean. OH is attempting the savoury chicken crumble later:eek: will report back.
Anyway, gonna go...take care. Nice to see so many new faces...WELCOME:D

You might find I don't snaffle as many bargains in the next couple of weeks as I'm on an economy drive and avoiding supermarkets in favour of a storecupboard challenge!Operation Get in Shape

Well my "lost :coffee:" turned out to be tea that I had also put coffee in  not a good combination. At this rate they will be locking me away & trowing the kay away. Trying to be independant today & so asked OH not to leave me something to eat but now can't think of anything I want that I can actually do for myself - might send out for a takeaway :rotfl: but I don't think so (getting to the door maybe a problem -takeaway would be cold before I got there IYKWIM).
It is lovely to see the sun today & hear the birds in the garden ( if I knew now what most of them are!!!) :wave:Love to save & love a bargain0 -
:grouphug: Penny-pincher :grouphug:
OK, so I'm another "lurker" for the most part. I work 9 till 5 and normally do all my cleaning (washing, tidying, etc, etc) at the weekend. So I was indoors most of this weekend, and nackered the rest, from cleaning the house - and it was glorious weather!! So I have resolved to get everything done in the evenings mon to fri and have the weekends FREE!
Not to mention that the state of my kitchen on Saturday morning was almost more than I could face!!
As for today, I am desperate to wash the dog beds, but with my new grey-girl in mid-heat, its not really worth it till *thats* over. Can't wait to get her to the Vets and get her sorted!!! So I shall have to find something else to wash. Shouldn't be too hard!!0
