    Evening all.

Hope everyone is ok. I have read the thread, but as i have just spent over an hour catching up from Saturday, i now have brain fog.

    Hello all newbies and lurkers.

Yesterdays christening was fab. I really enjoyed the time spent with my family, although my 'secret' is now well and truly out. I enjoyed catching up with everyone, and the buffet done at the pub was excellent. HM pies and quiches. My other sister immediately booked the pub for her kids birthday party next month.

I had a restless night cos i was excited. DH doesn't get quite as giddy as i do, so it makes me feel a bit weird sometimes. My scan was this morning, and we are the proud parents of a blob. The midwife described my baby as not very photogenic, but i think she meant to say camera shy.

Baby was all ok, although she had a job to get a good picture. The baby was in a vertical position, with head on chest, so she had to try 3 times in order to do the dating measurements that she needed to. She was about to tell me to go home and come back next week, when it momentarily decided to 'play' and moved into a horizontal position. Do you think i'm going ton have an awkward baby? :rotfl:

Then i got home to discover my tree climbing adventurer fred was really poorly. All he has done all day is go to the litter tray and then throw up. He is also running a temperature. The poor thing had an emergency vet appointment costing me £30. I hope he is better for next week for his cattery visit. I don't want to cancel the weekend away. Plus i don't like seeing him poorly.

I hope tomorrow brings a better day for me.

Hope you reach 100 posts today nelski.

    Michelle, x

    Thanks for the invite nelski!
    I'm a lurker2!
Been visiting for a while now and picked up some great tips, dinner tonight was leftover from Sunday roast -chicken which was BOGOF from Tesco.
I haven't done a lot since coming home from work (part time), except ring Morgan Stanley credit cards to complain about £20 late payment fee. They were suppost to take it by DD from bank account, but they claimed it wasn't processed in time, but agreed to refund charge. Have also been trying to cancel Sky but the phone is constantly busy....
Hello to all, I really enjoy the chat and have lots in common,
must go and get a choccie! :j

    Hi everyone,
Not posted for a few days as I've been in Spain :j It was lovely to have a break, and the weather was gorgeous, I've gos sunburnt cheeks and nose!!
Am off work tomorrow and have loads to do including prepare for an interview on Tuesday. Then when I'm back at work on Wednesday I'm going to be thrown in at the deep end as I'm covering for a team manager for three months and I've never done it before  so am scared . . .
Some good news whilst I was away, my insurers have finally paid me the excess on my car (had an accident about 6 weeks ago) as they've discovered the other party to be at fault.
An O/S day tomorrow hopefully as I want to do all my washing and ironing, sort clothes for the rest of the week at work and maybe even start decorating my hallway, I've only been doing it for 6 months :rotfl:

Hi folks! I have also been lurking for weeks now, and have finally plucked up the courage to join in!
Have been trying to do things "old style" for a while and am finding it great fun and there is a lot less waste in the house.
I am a SAHM but work on a Saturday, so we have had to cut our spending now I no longer work full time.
Everybody seems lovely and friendly here and I love all the virtual ((((((hugs)))))!!!

Gosh, the thread is nearly at 100...I hope it gets there, that would be fab landmark. It's lovely to meet some of the shyer peeps who haven't posted before, if at all.

Today was a bit carp really. Work went alright, nobody came near me, probably too scared I'd burst into howls of despair. They were right too, if they had come near me I think I would have flipped. Useless manager asked me if I missed her on Friday (she wasn't in). I didn't lie. I didn't tell the truth either, but pretended I misheard and answered as if she'd asked something else. It's a pants job, it really is. They demand 3rd level quals to do it, but really all it is bashing a keyboard and listening to managers tut and blame everybody else. You could train a monkey to do it (no offence meant to monkeys, but I must reiterate that they don't train humans there either).

At the moment I am supping a big glass of red wine - I opened the bottle last night and it was yuk. So a good 24 hours breathing has made it more palatable, though I may have murdered my tastebuds with two slices of home made garlic bread which had more garlic than butter on it. The George Foreman grill is fab for making garlic bread and cheese sandwiches by the way. I also have a big kitten who keeps standing on my shoulder in order to get closer to the fly which is buzzing around the lightbulb. Big kitten - Dylan - is in hunt mode and has been slapping me in the face with his tail. I don't mind, he's such a cutie!

Both kitties were naughty today - I left them with a big bowl of Hill's Science Plan biscuits to eat, but they still went up on the countertop and nibbled some home made scones I had left there under a tea towel. Well, I made them and they are rather delicious (!!) but it's my own fault cos I was a bit tiddly last night and forgot to put the scones in the freezer and of course I had clean forgotten about them by this morning.

Newbies....this is a typical SnowyOwl post! If you don't post because you think your day isn't that interesting please remember this post and consider that it's probably not going to any less interesting than this...and post away!

Bye everyone, think I am going to sleep like a baby tonight after my big glass of plonk.

Just popped in to say hello :hello: and try to push the thread along to 100 posts for Nels, although we're cutting it a bit fine timewise now!

Sorry I've not been around but not been very well at all and got heaps of problems at home, as well as a dead arm, so been lurking more than posting as it's not easy typing one-handed especially with RSI :o

Glad to see you back home again PP, not the same without you here hun, you take care ok ((hugs)) and I won't tell you to rest and take it easy :p;)

Hugs to everyone else too and catch you all later xxx
