morning all
in a rush (as ever) so hope everyone has a good day.
i was meant to get stuff in the SC before I left for work, but completely overslept and had to run out of the door and literally sprint for the bus (which obviously, in the rush hour was a single decker sardine can!)
better get back to work - hugs to all, hope the thread today is as long as yesterday's!:happyhear0 -
Morning all!
Good luck to those with hospital appointments!;)
Am off out in a few minutes to the Blists Hill museum in Ironbridge for the day with my mum, sister and her partner!:j so am looking forwards to that!
Lovely day here but still chilly!
Catch up later !TTFN:DDo what you love :happyhear0 -
Morning everyone!
What a beautiful day it is here today. The kind of fresh spring day that makes you want to bunk off work and go walking in the hills, but no such luck here.
Another working day today, but I have made my lunch again so at least I am sorted out. Don't know what tea will be but we have a fresh loaf from the BM so it might be sandwiches. We all have activities on a Tuesday evening so it is a bit of a rush usually.
DS is going away on Saturday on his first Cub camp. They are only away for one night but he has a kit list as long as your arm. I'm hoping the weather will be kind as they have lots of outdoor activities planned, including shooting.
I have a book to post for readitswapit at lunchtime so that will give me an excuse to have a walk in the sunshine if it stay like this.
I'm still waiting for delivery of my mortgage pig but I have a pile of change on the side ready and waiting for him to arrive.
Have a great day everyone.

Morning :hello:
Well it's a beautiful day here this morning! A bit chilly though!
Meant to have a "no spend day" yesterday but got through £7.34 in the end  but it's a quiet week and the budget can take it. Normally I would withdraw £50 at the start of the week for groceries and pocket money, whereas this week I started with £30 and while I'm not expecting much change from that, I'm hoping I don't have to get out the other £20 at all.
Need to pop into Natwest at lunchtime and pay a credit card bill - it's only stoozing though, so it's just a minimum payment of £32 which doesn't affect my budget in any way. Got a few other bits of banking to sort out actually - need to make sure Sainsburys isn't going to take a direct debit for my credit card which had a balance when they sent me the statement but which is now in CREDIT cos of them paying my cashback. And need to get in touch with the Alliance and Leicester, because I've forgotten my five digit security number (just plugged it into Egg Money Manager and forgot about it, but now A&L have changed their logon and I can't get into my savings account  )
Breakfast - Porridge
Lunch - Ready Meal Shepherd's Pie (I know but it was taking up freezer space)
Dinner - Took some chicken breasts out of the freezer last night so I need to work out what I'm going to do with them. A big chicken pasta bake I suspect - which means I need to buy spring onions, red and yellow peppers, mozzarella and mushrooms - should be a little over £3 altogether at Lidl. Normally I would also use a jar of Lidl tomato pasta sauce, but as I have tinned toms, onions & herbs at home I think I'll whizz something up with the stick blender - more money saved
Zed42 - your house sounds like the one I grew up in! The previous-but-one owner had done various home "improvements" and it was a total botch job. There were windows and doorways hiding in the brickwork, there was a small rear extension with a suspended floor and full-height windows so the floor was unstable and caused large cracks to appear in the windows, the rooms in the side extension (two bedrooms and the kitchen) were decorated with fake wood panelling stuck straight onto the brick walls, and most alarmingly there was an archway between the main and front living rooms which had compromised the structural integrity of a supporting wall  Luckily my parents had a reasonable amount of money at the time, as they'd just sold a 3-bed semi in Maidenhead and bought the 5-bed one in Durham for considerably less, so were able to get it most of it sorted within a year of moving in. However they never did get around to fixing the big windows!
scruffy, PP and catowen - good luck with all your medical procedures _pale_ I've been lucky with my health all my adult life (touch wood) and don't envy you one little bit.
AussieLass - I hope you manage to sort out the house contract soon! :grouphug:
Jo - hope that cheque turns up
Catch you later

Morning All,
Good Luck and Hugs to all who need it with hospital apps, poorly babes, missing money, sicky kitties, and potential job offers....and anyone else who needs it.
Ended up being a hectic day yesterday, 2 mins after i finished my post on here I got a phonecall from the estate agents wondering if he could bring someone round to view the house,:j in 1 hr:eek:.
mad dash around the house and it surprised me how well it looked after a quick swish and swipe because we have been keeping on top of the housework, and I really mean we. My DH now does his fair share after numerous rows etc etc.
So I bundled both little Rons into the car and parked over the road to get a sneaky look and they certainly didnt look disappointed when they came back out....
(just waiting for feedback now. It is one thing I have learned about myself with all this lark going on is that I dont like waiting for other people to make decisions that will affect my life.).
...then collected DH (dosent drive:eek: ) came home cooked tea, got little Rons to bed and out for Badminton which was a good laugh.
Todays plans involve going to DD preschool friends house which will be nice as I get on well with the Mum, she is a good laugh and not a competitive Mum at all, cant be doing with all that.
Going to make some cakes with DD to bring around in a little while.
Sorry for such a long rambling post, I think thats why I havent posted too often before on the daily thread. Its how I talk too:o
Have a good day all,
Ronnie
PS Didnt notice a post from Math yesterday?? Hope you are Ok MathTrying to tidy and clean while the kids are still growing, is like trying to clear snow even though it's still snowing

Glorious day here too, might even get around to putting some washing on the line. Working from home today as had another epic 16 hour day trip to London yesterday (out of the house 6am til 10pm ). On the up-side my appraisal went well & my boss bought me lunch.
The bathroom is being started tomorrow; OH & I took out the bath at the weekend, as well as taking up the carpet, underlay & gripper-rods. We also bought the wall & floor tiles, so it's all systems go. No-one on freecycle seems to want the old bath though?
Lunch is going to be lucky dip & dinner is thai green curry, as requested by OH.
Have a lovely day one & all0 -
Morning all,
WoW, what a great thread yesturday!!! Just my luck not to post on the busiest day, hey ho never mind.....Welcome to all the new faces.
Lovely day today, sunny bit a bit nippy, been in the garden bright & early preparing the veg beds. Got loads of things ready for planting which I'm really excited about. (how sad I'm I) ???

Anyway must dash DD needs picking up from pre-school in 10 mins, will have to jog there
Lunch: no idea!!
Dinner: left over chicken curry, rice and pittas
Love to all,

Morning all,
Have not been around for a couple of days, my braodband power pack decided it was not going to work on Sunday morning, no power so no broadband, nice man from NTL has just been and mended it, have not read the previous 2 days threads but will do so later.
((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))) to all who need them, have just finsihed cleaning the house, whole house done in 1 1/2 hours, not bad going, we were up at 7.45am this morning as NTL's appointment was between 8am and 12 noon, so thought I had better get up 'just in case'.
Will be back later......OH wants on the computer to do a letter for his bowls club...........

Morning all, it's a beautiful morning here too but DH has had to go for a days training and DS is bunking off to his friends house and after yesterday I am more than a little creaky again so I think I might just stick a movie on and laze around.
Yesterday was eventful, had to pay £93 to get the car fixed before we could go to the in-laws. The garage I go to are wonderful though and had us up and running again in just under 2 hours and that included waiting for a part to be delivered from Cheltenham.
We had a great day but FIL decided to take us all for a very long walk after lunch and I didn't like to let on how much pain I was in so gritted my teeth and got on with it. DD held a day old chick, spent ages watching baby wild rabbits ravaging grandads garden (grandad gritted his teeth but held off on getting the shotgun until she had gone home) and then we all spent a merry hour herding sheep down the lane, this is not normally a problem but half the flock were newborn lambs and they did not want to go anywhere we wanted them to be. DS was chasing them around the field trying to get them all out of the gate when one took a run for it and shot off down the road, it was a bit like escape from Alcatraz
When he spotted a car coming in the opposite direction he ran for the ditch and stuck his head through the wire fencing. So mummy (me) puts her superhero cape on again and clambered into the ditch (are stinging nettles good for arthritis?) and pulled the lamb out from his tight spot. There were so many twigs we nearly had lamb kebabs! Carried the dozy animal back to the right field.
Nearly got wiped out on the way home when someone decided to overtake 4 cars on the brow of a hill, he missed our oncoming car by inches. Finally made it home in one piece and took great pleasure in telling DS how to kill and skin a rabbit in as graphic terms as possibleOrganised people are just too lazy to look for things

Morning all,
Hope the sun is shining where you are. And hope everybody is well. And good luck to any one be it interviews, hospital appointments etc for today.
Not posted for a few days. But have started my spring clean last night. Took all the slats down from my blinds and bunged them in the washing machine. And then had to iron them semi dry  I don't do ironing :rotfl: Also washed two pairs of curtains and they are blowing in the breeze as I speak. Then I will have to iron them. And there are another 3 pairs to go yet. Plus all the covers from the sofa and chair and all the winter coats. Ummmm I don't like spring cleaning :rotfl:
Got my pigsback piggy very cute
And half my face is hurting and I have got ear ache. But should not complain there are a lot of people far worse off then me.
Take care everyone.
Yours
CalleyHope for everything and expect nothing!!!
