My other favourite student blast from the past was a "blastaway" - diamond white & castaway together. I think it'd make me heave now!
mmnnhhh Blastaway - god I loved that as well - to make it worse we added vodka to it as well mmmmh - pity you cant get castaway anymore
Taboo - it is a mixture of vodka, peach juice and wine - my sis tells me they sell it in Tesco - £6.99 a bottle - there was another one out at that time - Biarittz I think it was - it was brandy based and was delicious
OMG I feel like a lush

Godd Afternoon all
Well the best laid plans, and all that.
I got a phone call from work, could I go in as there had been a mix up, the demonstration I was going in to see tomorrow was in fact today! Went to work at 9:30, at 11:30 my boss came to explain that there had been a double mix up & the demonstration is tomorrow, so can I go in tomorrow!!! So I didn't get my roots done, but did get to the hairdressers for a cut, had about 6 inceh cut off, but paying for the blowdry was a waste of time as I will now wreck the style when I do the roots tonight, grrr.
By the time I'd finished at the hairdressers, there was just time to make a cuppa, feed the pets & now it's time to go & get hubby, so I achieved nothing today except to spend £40 on a wasted hair cut, I'm so cross.
Lol, vent over, hugs to all.

Oh thank you SO much Petal - that does rather look as though it would explain everything...I don't mind a laugh, but I do mind thinking some unknown man is phoning my child!People Say that life's the thing - but I prefer reading

Afternoon
Back from the hospital and more tests to have done:mad:
Anyway, never mind...life goes on:D
Went to our local greasy spoon and we had something to eat there and will have something light later to munch on. OH scoffed his double egg, double sausage, chips, beans and 2 slices of bread and butter:eek: super quick and went and had a muse around Asdas whilst I ate my food and had a brew. DD waited with me and OH came back about 25mins later...gave DD time to have an ice cream-so she was happy. He must have bought 15 loaves of bread (Warburtons Soya/Linseed, Hovis granary, Hovis thick white....all posh bread!) 6 packets of rolls, Warburtons crumpets, teacakes, pancakes, scones.....and they had all been reduced to between 5p-30p:eek: we will NOT be needing bread for a while...LOL. Whats he likeAlso bought reduced parsnips, pears, spuds, apples, bananas, cabbage and a prepacked Posh sarnie(there going to london tomorrow) He bought a few other bits and think he spent £35-this included stuff for DD;s party:j and a Bratz doll (reduced) to put away for her.
Have SIL here tomorrow doing a few bits around the house so OH is taking DD into London to visit The Natural History Museum, The Science Museum and possibly The Tait Gallery-if they have time. There going to take a pack lunch (OH bought a posh sarnie reduced to 30p today:rolleyes: )with them and a flask of hot chocolate and eat this in trafalgar square. All kids under 16 receive free transport so OH will just need a travel card....not sure how much this is?? and thats it!! Suppose will have to let them take some pocket money:rotfl:
May pop on later. Take care and hugs to all.

Zones 1&2 - £6.20 before 9.30 or £4.90 after.
I too have been for a haircut this afternoon at a new salon I've never tried before. She was really good, actually listened to what I wanted & it was a fiver cheaper than my normal place. Not quite as trendy & I didn't get a glass of wine, but I can live with that!
Smokey - vodka as well  . Crikey we used to drink some rubbish!0 -
Thanks for the info on the travel card!
I sent off the voucher from the Weight Watchers magazine today...hopefully costing me ZILCH:j Have 4 salons locally that can do the haircut which is free on a cut and blowdry...so would that include the washsounds too good to be true IYKWIM. Mum bought the magazine and posted the voucher down for me, so didnt even have to pay for the mag:D

What weird weather
All day it's looked lovely and sunny, like a real spring day. Been a bit nippy inthe wind, but all the same, makes you feel good to see blue sky and scudding white clouds. In fact, as I look out of my window, I can see the sunlight reflecting on a cloud skimming over the trees, the delicate pale blue of the sky looking pearlescent and
