Morning all
Blue skies and a hint of fluffy white clouds this morning but DH had to scrape the ice from the car....brrrrrrrrr.
Suppposed to have 3 little ones here today but they're all poorly, now while I don't wish anyone ill, it's lovely to have an unexpected day off with DD's. I'm going to enlist their help in a bit and have a half hour whip round and washing marathon, followed by some shed tidying....I know how to have fun!
Then it's ironing and packing cases for them both as they're heading to my parents for 4 days over the weekend, other grandparents are picking them up next Wednesday and taking them out for the day....will be strange not to have them here, will be the longest I've been away from them.
PP - Hope all goes well with the nurse.
Queenie - I'm sure your comments and opinions were extremely valid (not read the post in question), we all have different points of view and that's what makes the world as wonderful as it is. I find your posts inspirational and really admire the time you take to answer people individually or comment on their posts. Hope your easter egg making works this time.....industrial sabotage can be a messy thing!
Brekkie - Toast
Lunch - errrm.......
Dinner - Something involving cold jacket potatoes that need using up, a huge box of tomatoes and half a head of celery.....I'm sensing stuffed jackets and soup.....
Hope you all have a wonderful day."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Nasty nurse has been and gone and now have very sore bottom:o At least I have another 24hrs to recouperate before the next round:eek:
Queenie-I dont know how I have caused you upset and heartache with my reply on SundayIf there is an issue of anysort then please PM me and we can discuss this off the boards as adults and not as a public slogging..LOL:D
Anyways, DD and OH are just about to leave. DD had another letter from her new school this morning stipulating some items needed and we have most of them already:j Have also managed to save £110 towards her uniform:beer:
Will catch up later.

Morning all.........
Blue skies, birds singing but its damn cold out there.............. the boiler is puffing its little heart out and we are nice and cosy, but not too hot here.
Have an appointment with the Dr this morning for the results of the tests that went in, also need to talk to her about my really c---sleeping pattern, last night I woke evry 2 hours.....did manage to go back, but its so frustrating....... you put the light out, close the eyes, open them and its 2 hours after you put the light out, not morning gggggrrrrrrr........in a way I have had this sleeping pattern for so long I doubt that anything can be done about it, its very hard to break a cycle like that.... still we will see.
((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))) to anyone who needs them.
I have a mystery shopping assignment this afternoon, so a chance to have a rumage round a nice shop............
See ya later.................

LearningToSave. wrote:sorry but i dissagree which is why i posted that originally......there are several of your posts lately-directed at P_P that come across as really condescending.my opionion which i believe i am entitled to.
LearningToSave. - naturally you are entitled to formulate your own opinions and are entitled to them. Learning - I posted to reassure it was "genuine concern" which was my motivation for my original posting to rectify any offence I may have caused. Yet you "disagree"??Are you calling me a liar?
We can all *assume* and read into other peoples' words/actions what we will. We can assume much or little and what we assume is often tempered by how we are feeling at the time, the influence of our peers, the nature of the relationship between the one who does the word/action and the one who notes it.Old saying for you: "Never assume: it makes an !!!!!! out of u and me!"
When PP posted in response to mine, it was apparent that my post had been misconstrued. Clearly no one can know for certain my intent and motivation behind my words (which were sincere!) and so, accepting that PP didn't feel they were in support or heartfelt I tried to rectify her confusion by posting:Queenie wrote:I'm sorry if my post inadvertantly caused you any offence; that certainly wasn't my intention (the complete opposite in fact!)
Throughout my time on MSE and most especially in Old Style, I have endeavoured to be supportive and encouraging to fellow members. The daily thread exists *because* of that; a means to share old style ways/tips and offer support and encouragement to others.
Even in the Discussion Forum I do not resort to cheap shots, sarcasm or provocative remarks.
The question begs to be asked: how am I supposed to prove and reassure that my original post was well intentioned and not meant in a negative and now you also claim, condescending manner?I have apologised for any confusion, explained it wasn't meant in the manner/tone it has been interpreted in.
While I can understand that it's possible for posts to be misinterpreted in the initial instance and to "assume" something else was intended - to continue to do so now doesn't reflect on me but speaks volumes for the people who persist in challenging me on it!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Hi everyone
It's a beautiful day here - blue sky, sunn but cery cold and frosty. At least that cold wind seems to have gone away.
One load of washing is on the line and another swooshing around in the washing machine.
I went out yesterday to the New Forest with my friends and their dog. It was a lovely day but there was a very cold wind. We saw loads of deer so I was able to try out my new telephoto lens for the first time. Quite pleased with the results. When I got back home my OH had actually cut the grass!!!! It was getting so long that I thought I would have to get some sheep in to deal with it. Mind you, he only did the back garden - he always seems to manage to 'forget' to cut the front lawn:wall: - what is it about men??? Anyway, I shouldn't be mean 'cos I'm really pleased it's done.
Today I think is just going to be a general potter around the house (that is, if I ever get any further than the computer!)
Hope the sun is shining wherever you are.0 -
To be honest, gals, I think the whole thing is just best left here.
All this negative energy around PP isn't going to do her any good - and its not doing any of the contributors any good either.
I personally believe that everybody acted with good intention and you've all got tangled up thereafter.
However, I do think it would be best to just draw a line under the whole thing and leave it alone, now.:hello: I'm very well, considering the state I'm in. :hello:Weight loss since 2 March 10 : 13lbs0 -

I have been a MSE poster/addictfor nearly 1 year now & Queenie has been the one of the most sincere, supportive, encouraging & sincere posters I have encountered. I'm sure anybody with an ounce of concern would caution someone who appears to be overdoing it. I know in the past I have had the same cautions from those who care for me, when I have been recovering from something. It's called *caring*.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Queenie, I am lucky we live just round the corner from the surgery, so if I need an appointment I just run round the corner at 8.30, that way I do not have to hang on the damn phone to find that all the appointments have gone.
DH took in my second sample last week and told them the Doc had asked me to make an appointment to get the results, instant appointment for today 10am......... 'so thats the way to do it' as Mr Punch would say, in my case at least.
We can make appointments over the phone but you usaully have to wait 3 weeks at least and the wait for the blood letter...... the nurse........ is at least 4 weeks......so I go to the local hospital, have to wait sometines, but at least its done when I want it done, and I have not got to think too far in advance...
Right thats it, I am off, Dr always runs at least half an hour late, so taking a book with me to read..... one day she will be on time and I will die of shock!!!!!
