Thanks Shez,
We are getting married on 29th July this year. I'm really looking forward to it - obviously! However, my dad keeps "remembering" people that he needs to invite. We've cut back on the people that we need to invite, but he's still going for it! His argument is that he's paying for it...................... and we're both as stubborn as each other! :rolleyes:Sealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 declared0 -
Morning all
scruffy, catowen and PP - hope hospital goes well for all of you.
Lovely morning here, clear blue skies and lots of birdsong. On this date last year the blue tits started popping in and out of my nesting box - so hoping theyll nest in there again this year.
I seem to have a plan for every minute of today - still havent finished painting my kitchen ( its been three weeks since i started ) so that is the first thing i MUST get done.
Then my dad had a new freezer delivered yesterday which needs filling later today- I generally cook and bake for him about twice a week and leave a fridge and pantry full of stuff - looks like today i need to really get busy so that i can leave him a fridge a pantry AND a freezer full of stuff as I am going to be out of the country from 6th april to 29th .
If i sit here another minute I shall be here all morning and get nothing done - I actually have to turn my pc power off to be sure i cant keep popping back on lol
have a wonderful day all

Morning folks!
I've just caught up with yesterdays thread!!! Good to see so many "new" faces!
Yesterday was a work day, so nothing much OS was achieved. Went to the s'market in the evening and spent a fortune and that was only .for one week. Somehow I think I'd be particularly useless at a grocery challenge!
Today the sun is shining, so I think I shall wash the nappies and get them out on the line.
DH and I have a trip to the dentist this morning for our first checkup. We've been trying to find an NHS Dentist since we moved in to the area 2.5yrs ago. Why do I suspect that we will be told that they are opting out of the NHS this morning
I know I have 2 crowns which need replacing and a cracked filling. I guess I'd better start saving (or doing the grocery challenge  ).
Other than that .... what's been happening? Oh I know, on Saturday I started to remove the wardrobe in DD's room, to discover ... a door ... to next door's house!! Consequently, my thoughts of "remove wardrobe, slap paint on wall, replace carpet, job done" has now turned in to ..... remove wallpaper, brick up door, plaster, wallpaper, paint .... oh and do the rest of the room whilst we're at it.... so I then started to strip the next wall whilst DH bricked up door ... to discover the fireplace is not attached to the wall and the bricks are loose inside it (sob), the next wall ... oh .... only another doorway!!!!! I've still got two more walls to go ... and DH has already "warned" me that one of them may be a problem as there is a shower on the other side of it .. which is leaking and the wall is plasterboard. My poor DD keeps looking
and saying "my room broken, daddy plaster, mummy strip it, fix it" .... unfortunately DH is tied up in a conference this week, and we're on hols next week, so it's going to be an ickle while before we "fix it".
Right, time to fling myself in to the shower and find some brekkie.
B - Cereal
L - Sandwich of some variety

Morning everyone
Wow, yesterday's thread was fantastic! Great to see so many new names, don't stop now you have started.
Not a very OS day for me as have to be out and about all day today again.
Gearing myself up to increase my energy levels by getting more exercise, but am dreading those first few times when you end up shattered, no matter how careful you are. Ah well, my own fault for letting things slip.
Aussielass, sorry to hear about the contract being extended.
Hope those with hospital visits today don't have to rough a time. Hope any ill littlies are feeling better soon. Hugs to all and have a good day everyone. My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead
Proud to be a chic shopper

Morning all
Lovely sunny, if cold, morning here in Leics. Doesn't a bit of sun & blue sky make everything look so much better & things seem a bit easier to cope with?
I don't have to be at work 'til 10 this morning so am having a leisurely breakfast (porridge with raisins & cinnamon) whilst I catch up with todays news.
Lots of people seem to have yukky things to do today - hospital visits, dentists, poorly children, rotton work - so I hope all your days work out better than you expect.
I'm on a training day thingy today & lunch is provided so it's free & therefore very OS. I have a beef casserole in the slow cooker for DH's dinner & have taken a left over portion of veggie curry out of the freezer for me. I love my slow cooker.
The blokes will finish our new patio today, it looks wonderful, even better than we'd imagined. My DH will now want to completely redo the rest of the garden so I'll get no jobs done in the house until the autumn, SIGH. Never mind, as long as he's happy. I've invited friends round for a meal during the Easter weekend so we can (hopefully) all sit outside & admire what's been done so far.
Oh well, time to get dressed, Happy Tuesday everyone.0 -
Good Morning
Its lovely and sunny here in Essex though I dont know about the temperature as havnt been outside yet.
OH at work, DS in garden and DD drying her hair so quite peaceful at the mom.
Plan of action today is - pop into local village & pay money into buss account as client hasnt paid 2day as should have & have just gone over OD!!!!!
Washing washing and more washing - dont know where its come from but its definately there - hopefully wont be too many showers today so can line dry.
General tidy up & quick hoover.
Then a lovely evening of ironing (not).
B - cereal - me nothing can eat yet
L - rolls
D - not sure maybe egg and chips.
Hope you all have a good day.
PS Both children have had conjuctivitus over last couple of weeks - was quite mild though and cleared up over couple of days - must admit didnt get drops just washed eyes with cooled boiled water.
See ya later0 -
Morning everyone.
Thought i would get in early today as i've been a bit bad while at work last week.
vicky - enjoy your pampering and visit to your home town. I found a good parent compromise to be that our parents could only add people to the list that we both had met. It seemed to work quite well. It only ended up that a couple of people we didn't know were there. I can't think of anything worse actually than a room full of strangers on your day.
jo - hope the new job is proving to be enjoyable. I love doing new things all the time at work as it keeps you fresher - hope your money turns up.
Everyone else, good luck with dentists and hospitals.
PP - hope the nurse visit doesn't wipe you out today. Sounds like you are still managing to entertain yourself ok.
My day - i got up really early to check up on my poorly cat. Obviously the injections of antibiotics, and something to lower his temperature have worked as he is much better today. He's still wiped out, but at least i didn't have to get up to a mess and start cleaning.
I have a 2nd appointment with my councillor today, so i'm glad i can escape the vet today. ~I will ring up and make him another appointment for tomorrow. I'm also at the drs tomorrow so its a busy week. I must remember to take my free prescription form to get stamped at the Drs, and then post it. Take advantage of what i'm entitled to while pregnant as i spend a fortune currently when anything goes wrong.
DH is going to give my car a health check this evening hopefully, so we can mend anything like faulty lights before the MOT on Friday. It will hopefully pass first time as it only had work done last month,
I've got a DVD from screenselect to watch. Plus, the washing pile needs tackling again.
sausages and mash for tonights meal. I think i might have quiche for lunch. Otherwise, a quiet day to allow fred to recuperate so it won't cost as much at the vet.
Already an expensive week. Here's hoping nothing else unexpected happens. Have a good day everyone.

Morning all
Bright and sunny here today - although a bit nippy!
Just had some new prescription sunglasses delivered - only ordered them sunday night about 9pm...that's what I call service!!! They only cost me £32 as well, considering the last pair I had cost £79, I was impressed.
Not working today, off out later with a friend, either the zoo, the beach park or an indoor play centre....I'm hoping they all choose the zoo - would be a shame to waste a nice sunny day.
Brekkie - Cereal
Lunch - Picnic of cold pasta from last night, chopped sausages and hard boiled eggs, fruit and biscuits.
Dinner - Not sure yet - might be the night for beans on HM toast....(I'm incorporating a "something on toast" night each week - kids love it and it's quick and easy) ((Also means my meal plan runs an extra day))
Must cut the grass this afternoon - or make a start on it anyway - huge garden and far to much grass!
Hope you all have a great day, enjoy the sunshine!"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Good Morning to all the regulars & newbies, it was great to hear from so many people.
I have to admit I mainly post weekends & school holidays as I don't get much chance the rest of the time.
Lovely & sunny here in Berkshire today, though we had to scrape ice off the car this morning at 6. Still I've taken hubby to work, had brekkie, got a beef casserole in the slow cooker and am cooking some chocolate brownies in a while when I decide what else to put in the oven with them.
I will do my roots later so by the end of the day I will look like a 20 year old again (rotfl) ok, maybe I'll look 50 then instead of 55!
All yesterdays washing is dried, so now I'm starting on another lot, got to take advantage of the good weather.
I spent 20 mins on the phone yesterday trying to find out whats happened to hubby's disability benefit, very nice lady told me they hadn't got our new address, funny that, they wrote to us a year ago at this address!!
I'm going to try a do next months meal planner today, I haven't join in the store cupboard challenge as my store cupboard is never very full. I tend to only have flour, sugar pasta and similar staples in it.
Brekkie Hot Cross Bun & a cuppa
Lunch HM Bread & Marmite
Tea Beef Casserole & New Pots & Cabbage
Hugs to all who need them.
