Afternoon everyone!
Children on first day of Easter hols here, so lots of coming and going through the door of various children and neighbours.
dd3 and I had yummy pasta in tom sauce with grilled haloumi on top, and ds, dd2 and dd1 had pasta salad with chopped haloumi and various bits from the fridge in a tomato, oil and vinegar dressing.
All had pineapple chunks (dried and on offer for 99p a big bag in Holland and Barrett) as a snack.
Will be feeding children the spare cottage pie I made last week and froze with extra cabbage - are mine the only children that fight over who has got the biggest portion of cabbage, that's as in wanting more, not trying to make sure someone else has more!
dh and I will be eating something I concoct from storecupboard or freezer, am trying to reduce them and save money! Freezer desparately needs defrosting and am hoping to do it soon! So will all need to keep eating - not a problem with four children plus their friends for meals!
Have spent the day pottering around the house, helping children with various bit and messing about on the pooter. Looking forward to sitting down tonight for a rest - not at work tonight, yippee!
Enjoy the rest of the all.
xx

Well DH got home from his interview in very high spirits :j
He seems to think that they really want him, and it's just a question of money (isn't it always  ) They are going to let him know in a couple of days whether the salary he has asked for is approved - apparantly they need to talk to their finance guys first - but they didn't flinch when he told them what he wanted)
I'm keeping everything crossed for him - as he really wants this job!!
I'm sat here with a glass of wine - about to bath DD!
Take care!!Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)0 -
Evening all and welcome new people!!
I had an interesting day today, new tasks to be done etc etc so the day flew by. It was quite nice to have a change of scenery too. I also get to finish at 4 a couple of days a week so ill actually have more time to myself.
Came home to a phone message from next confirming delivery of bed tomorrow (yippee!! The bedroom is a state ever since I got it in my head that it all had to be changed) so thats another good thing. I plan to spend some time in there this evening doing some dejunking as im determined to make sure that I really like the room when im done.
It did confuse the cat this morning however, she has her place on the bed that she loves and this morning woke up boyf who was on the mattress on the floor, meowed at him whilst standing against the wall where her usual get on the bed position is, wondering why it wasnt there. Boyf commented to her - "dont look at me sweetie - it wasnt my bloody idea, im sleeping on the goddam floor". I found that immensely funny when I returned home!
Anyhoo - im really hungry so I must dash, my hm soup was horrible today so threw most of it away.

Good grief everyone ... do you know how long it has taken to read this thread this evening!
Isn't it brilliant
Welcome to all the newbies and lurkers :hello:
Slept in until 6 am this morning so I didn't manage to get on line this morning. Did manage to get my exercises done though.
Went downstairs to the merry popping of 7 demi-johns this morning (peach, apple & elderberry and parnsip wines in the making). OH is really getting into this making of alchohol
We are still working our way through the slow cooker gammon - taking even longer because we are weighing our portions in line with the weight watchers point system.
Breakfast: oats, fruit and HM yoghurt
Lunch: salad with tinned mackeral in tomato sauce, apple for dessert
Dinner: jacket potato, broccoli and a stir fry of gammon, onions, tomatoes and mushrooms.Enjoying an MSE OS life0 -
I'm another lurker, have spent all day packing as my OH and I have found a flat to rent so are finally moving in together! We get the keys on Wednesday so are both frantically sorting and packing! I've just realised how pleased I am that I've been gradually buying kitchen things for the past couple of years instead of having to buy them all now!
Will be posting more once I've moved out.
But for now it's back to the packing - I never realised I had so many clothes!0 -
