    Morning everyone :hello:

Ugh, I can't sleep and it's Monday morning!! I have to go to work, and quite honestly I really don't want to. Maybe it won't be as bad as I think it will. Just hope I don't sit blubbing like I did on Friday...boy was that a bad day.

OS today - guess I had an OS brekkie - a mixture of porridge and bran flakes (am needing the "assistance" they give to a person's insides, if ya know what I mean), some sunflower seeds and raisins. It was gorgeous.

The rest of the day will be totally non-OS - work all day as mentioned, and then college tonight so no housework or cooking. It'll be 10.00 pm before I can flick the "standby" switch, and am looking forward to it already.

Slayerx, fantastic post, sums up so much so precisely! Nelski that is a fab idea :T inviting anyone and everyone who doesn't post very often - or at all - to say hello. I am really looking forward to a lovely long read on Old Style tonight.

    Happy Monday everyone!

    Morning Guys

Gosh...you all started early...LOL. Thanks for the kind words Nelski and your posts always make me chuckle.

OH has got up with me and made me a lovely cup of tea. WM is on and clothes hopefully dried on wash line. DW needs emptying. He swept the floors through last night after friends left...we had chineese in the end and was delish! Was also bought a lovely box of posh choccies and bunch of flowers:D

Have the needle nurse coming at 7am and having me 1st drip put in at home:eek: should be done in 20mins. Promised DD a picnic in back garden today and to organise her party abit more, but will see how I am.

OH is finishing some skirting in the lounge hopefully and DD's ceiling needs painting along with the woodwork some time this week. Think OH is taking DD over to Bromley for a couple of hrs as she needs a few bits and there is a massive Primarks over there. Need to do me eyebrows too Nelski:rolleyes:

    Breakie:Porridge, hazelnuts and honey
Lunch:Baked Spud, Ham, cheese, coleslaw and salad
Dinner:Chicken crumble-Is this left over chicken, campbells, leek then a savoury crumble on top (flour/butter) Served with Brocolli and carrots.

Hope everyone has a good day and love/hugs to all.

    PP

    hi everyone.

One thing I have noticed is that there are a lot more views than posts on this thread and i wondered if we could have a "Open Day" today. Lets see if we can go for the record number of posts on the daily thread

    Dont just read - Post!!:j

    just a thought

Today i will be ...............doing some stuff and eating some food at some point............:D

    Good idea Nelski.
Coincidentally I am also doing stuff & eating today. Small world ain't it? Trouble is, most of the stuff I have to do involves going to work. SIGH.
I have very OS food planned though. I'm eating porridge with HM apple, pear & apricot puree, I've made salad with brown rice & beans to take for lunch & dinner is smoked mackerel pasta with HM ciabatta.
We had a lovely weekend away although we got drenched on Saturday whilst out on our bikes. The people in the pub we stopped at to warm up thought we were mad, dripping all over their carpet. They may have a point!
Have a lovely day today everyone. SnowyOwl, your boss sounds a nightmare, I hope you have a better day today. PP don't overdo things, remember the tortoise & the hare!

    Morning!

Im shattered! I did loads yesterday though, I dismanted a bed and put it in the loft, cleaned the loft, cleaned the flat and made soup in the sc for lunch today. I worked saturday so I only had sunday off but my new bed gets delivered tomorrow so needed to do all that yesterday.

Today is the beginning of a new year for work, and some of us have job changes imcluding me so its going to be an interesting day to say the least! We have a new guy coming in to work with us too - hope he is cute as I could do with having something pretty to look at! Especially so since I wont see my favourite hot customer anymore! *please accept my apologies this morning - I dont know whats come over me!*

Anyhoo - I hope I dont have a day like saturday today - it was busy, didnt leave till 4 cos I had a mistake to rectify, then I left work for it to suddenly tip it down and then stop as soon as I got in the car (*shakes fist at sky and shouts 'its after 12 - jokes on you!!*) I drove home wetter than if id jumped in a bath.... grrrr

    Have a lovely day all!

 Good Luck at work today, Jo! They say a change is as good as a rest and I hope that is true of the changes in your job

Fingers X'd for the safe arrival of your bed tomorrow.

    On the Agenda today:-

    Library trip.
    20 min whip round
    Ironing
    Menu Plan

B: Natural yogurt with fruit puree; toast
    L: Tuna pitta's
D: Beef Toad with steamed veggies; apple charlotte

Picked up 3 books for £1 at a Charity Shop last Wednesday including one on vegetable growing, so I need to find a slot to have a read through that.

    Have a wonderful Monday

    Good morning everyone,

PP - glad you sound ok today, hope the drip and stick go ok!!!

Jo and Snowy - hope work is ok for both of you today

Queenie - hope you find the time to have a bit of a read later!!!

Well, yesterday started wonderfully, but ended badly, i guess i just wasnt meant to enjoy mothers day this year!!!! My lovely children decided while they were playing outside they would climb over a fence and climb some trees!!!!! (they have been told not to) Anyway, im talking to a friend on the phone when DS comes running in crying, holding his eye and the sound of wailing from DD outside. They had both fallen out of the trees and DD had hurt her arm, DS had an eye the size of an orange!!! Panic took over, and rushed them both to our local hospital, where they promptly sent us off to Derriford in Plymouth. A couple of hours later (and it wasnt even busy up there!!!) we finally got seen and all was ok, DDs arm seems (although she still wont move it) just to be bruised and DSs eye is ok, although he does look like hes been 10 rounds with Mike Tyson!!! Im going to keep them off school today, just as a percaution, so have 5 children here today, so no rest for the wicked!!!!! DD slept with me last night, and basically whimpered all night, and i do know the Derriford did mis diagnose my friends daughter when she fell down the stairs and broke her arm, so will keep an eye and see what happens.
I also need to go to the doctors today, to have my blood test before my hospital appointment tomorrow (if its done today, i should be able to see my consultant a bit quicker than if i have the blood test done there, and have to wait for the result) so that should be challenging, taking 3 little ones and my two who look a little worse for wear!!!!
Not sure what ive got to do today, have some cleaning to do, need to get the BM on, and maybe some soup in the SC, should get more done actually, as my 2 will help with the little ones.
Well, heres hoping for a better day today, yesterday was enough worry for one week, it is so difficult to try and comfort two of them at once!!!!
Hope everyone has a lovely day,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    Morning all :hello:

I'm up and about! Well, up.................. It's the first day of the Easter hols and I can't lie-in. Sod's law! No doubt by the time it's the new term I won't be able to get OUT of bed.

PP - good luck today. You've got a star of a DH there! However, when I first read your post I thought it said your DW had bought you flowers and chocs :rotfl: I re-read it properly (like I read every word) and it made sense. :D

jo - good luck in your new "job". You sound like such a busy bee, I'm always so envious.

My tasks today start with having a shower - after I've finished my cuppa. WM is on so it'll hopefully be nice enough to put the washing outside to dry.

Got to pop down to the Post Office to pick up my place cards for my wedding. I bought 150 from ebay for £4.27 including postage! My mum will be proud. I need to sort out a few bits and pieces to put onto ebay though.

I made a chickpea salad last night for lunch. OH has got it with him for work and I'll have my portion at home. It saves me from the temptation that is the little coffee shop!

I'll walk down to the library later too. I haven't had time to read any books recently, so I'll stock up! I've got a lot of books around the house that I got from readitswapit so I need to plough my way through those too. Hopefully I'll have some books to put back on there by the end of the hols AND have sorted out enough for yet another car boot sale. :)

    b: branflakes and a cuppa
    l: chickpea and tomato salad
d: ostrich burgers, potatoes and salad

    Have a good day all.
