:j I used to have a Snowy Owl in the Brownies. She was one of the leaders along with Tawny Owl, Grey Owl and the "big chief" Brown Owl. :rotfl:
Snowy Owl was the nicest one cos she was nearer our age, is that not where you got your name from Snowy Owl?

I wasnt in the brownies only guides, but i know the brownies leader was called Brown Owl too!!

Judging by the amount of HM cooking going on in this board I definately think everyone qualifies for their "Cooks/Hostess Badge" :rotfl: oh happy days...

Oh what a lovely thread this is today!!!! I am so pleased that order had been restored :p

Well what a late post this is, I have been a busy girl since the kitty came back from being spayed. She was all dopey last night bless her but in the middle of the night she was tearing around the house like usual so she is pretty much back to normal. She has a check up tomorrow, oh what fun it will be to get her back in the basket now she knows what the vets is really like!!! Bless.

Used up a bag of qorn bits for dinner, OH has taken a quorn stir fry to work for dinner and I had a curry but I did have to buy a 75p jar of sauce, not that much though.

    Have a lovely evening guys,

A late post today as having an absolute nightmare with my internet connection. Well I think its that anyway?!?! Think I might have to upgrade the old dial up to broadband at some point

Another day at work today but now I am off until Saturday and then its only a short day.

We went ten-pin bowling last Friday for step-son's birthday and before we went I had checked their webpage for special offers/prices and it quoted £8 for 1 game for 2 x adults and 2 x kids before 6pm. When we got there it had changed to before 12 noon. So I e-mailed them and got a reply today stating they are going to send vouchers for a free game for us again :T

Dinner tonight was mushroom pizza and mushroom pasta mmmm.

Anyway going to finish reading todays threads then think I will cosy up in bed and watch a DVD from a free rental trial thingy.

Thank you Queenie I did enjoy my show-was Beauty and the Beast - my favourite and the KFC went down well. Its something I crave every now and then but once Ive had it I wont fancy it again for months.

Im sure that Math mentioned that he would be at his Holiday Home for the whole Easter holidays.

Well I was contemplating doing some ironing but came on here instead for a 'quick' surf. (think that was about an hour ago) so have now decided s*d ironing, gonna have an early night, watch the end of Ghost Boat and will get up tomm early & do the ironing then. Might not get on tomm as gotta run loads of errands - one being to get my DS new plimsolls for school - cant find his size anywhere - I am now on a mission.

Have a lovely Evening all and a wonderful Easter. :j

OH has got a fish cake, potatoes and veggies for supper tonight. Let's hope that he remembers and doesn't go via the chippy. :D

For the record I didn't forget the fish cake. To save money decided to keep it for a later date. That's got to be worth some Brownie points. The fish and chips were lovely;) .

    Evening all.

Dilbert - in OS you are not likely to get Brownie points for buying F an' C's  :o You *might* be able to redeem yourself if:

    a) you recycled the wrappings
    b) bought only *one* portion to share between the two of you (romantic ;) )
    c) ate them from the paper to conserve water
    d) have my portion on it's way via courier

Actually, forget d) ... I've got bad indigestion at the moment.

Well, the day ended up fairly stressful, so I'm giving myself permission to chill out a bit and the ironing can rot! :p (Essex-girl ... unlike yourself, I haven't even pencilled it in for tomorrow :o )

    *Enjoy* DIlbert;)
I am having an evening by candle light, having taken kids to theatre, SC'd a gammon joint, hoovered several rooms, ran out of laundry gloop and cant make anymore til daylight cos the kitchen light has gone, had a bit of a declutter and thinnk I saw a mouse upstairs although Im not sure if it was just a shadow/illusion.
Watche dthe nigel slater food thing and though he was very OS in the way he likes to cook simple food, and very verging on the sexual in the way he talks about and enjoys food. Hmm... I'll just get my coat!;)
