    Morning all :hello:

I didn't sleep well. Don't know why, but I'll just have to get on with the rest of the day in the vague hope that tonight I'll get plenty of sleep! :o

I had a bit of a drama yesterday trying to get to the station to get me to London. I was going to get the bus, but managed to not be ready in time so took my car. Good job as I passed the bus............ broken down! Got to the station car park, only to find that the car park was full and the barriers weren't letting anyone in. I drove round, trying to find a car park that was open until midnight (when I'd be getting back) - the first two closed at 7pm and 10pm respectively! When I found a car park, I only JUST had enough change - after swapping some 5ps for 20ps (max 20 coins in the machine) with someone else with the same prob as me! phew! made it!

When I got back from London, OH (Dilbert) was waiting for me on the platform so that he could drive me to my car. Otherwise I'd have had to have crossed a road via an enclosed walkway and then past dark car parks. Bless him. He's a superstar! :D

I had a great time in London yesterday. I went here there and everywhere, including a little walk around my favourite houses (I can only dream) in Kensington! Mmmmmmmmmmmm. Plenty of window shopping before I met up with my friends. Oooh, and a nice cheap meal. 3 courses for £9.90! Bargain!

We're supposed to be going camping this weekend with friends. Unfortunately we haven't found a campsite that has got vacancies as yet. Maybe, maybe......

    I'd better get on.
Hope you all have a good day.

    Morning everyone :)

Work for me today :( nuff sed!!

OH home tonight so he will be wanting some "real" food, but I think I can get away with sausages. I have some in the freezer that were only 20p per pack from Sommerfield a while ago. Will do them with mash and beans I think. Just made a packed lunch for me, number 2 son is still in bed so he will have to sort himself out for today, but there is enough here for him to choose from.

Just had a quick phone call from SIL, niece who is 11 broke her wrist yesterday :( poor thing. We are hoping to take them out on Sunday looking for Gnomes (!) so we will have to see how she gets on, if not, we will go and see if the Easter Bunny has been in their garden. OH has all sorts of ideas that involve us getting up at 05.30 and "planting" all the mini eggs we bought when we were in France the other week!!

    Catch up later

    Morning all

I finally get my DD's back today :j They've been living it up with both sets of Grandparents since Saturday and the house has been far to quiet without them.

Need to crack on with some baking and food prep to make the weekend easier - just got all the beds changed - it's like a jigsaw trying to fit everyone in when they come - all spare duvets and pillows are now in place - let battle commence!

Last summer we made a rumtopf (sp?) - all the liquid got drunk over xmas and new year but I saved the fruit and froze it down - going to make a flan with it today - smells so boozy still that I'm sure everyone will be a bit tipsy after a slice.....will add some fresh fruit to it to perk it up a bit.

    B- Fruit
    L - more fruit
D - Chicken, broccoli, cauli and pasta bake with a cheesy sauce, with HM garlic bread.

Probably wont get chance to post again this weekend so hope you all have a fantastic Easter.

    Good Morning all

It's a cold and dismal day here today. It will raining before long, I think, so that washing will have to be hung around the house to dry.

I should be in major housework mode today as OH's family (daughter, son and DIL and their 1-year old) are decending on us for the weekend. The i-year old is into everything and my house is not child friendly - too many books and glass around. It also means that I shall have to clean the bits that normally get 'forgotten' as the sound of creaking cobwebs when things are pulled from their resting places is too embarassing!!!!

To cap it all I have gone down with a stinking cold and feel rotten. I don't do colds very well. Oh well, I'll survive!

Now, I really must get on. . .

    Good Morning all
Chilly & overcast here today, but they are promising sun tomorrow, I do hope so as hubby isn't working & we are planning on walking to the nearby lock, it's very pretty there & great fun on bank holidays watching all the hire boats bouncing off the sides of the lock:eek: .

I'm meeting a friend for lunch today, we've been friends for 20 years & used to lunch once a week when we worked closer. But now I drive over once a week during the school hols to have lunch, bagels & coffee.

I'm going to have a quick run round with the vacuum then do a hours knitting before I set off to meet her. Cottage pie tonight, already cooked & waiting to go in the oven later.
Hope everyone has a good day, hugs to all.

    Morning everyone
Day off for me today because I worked last Saturday. We don't automatically get Bank Holidays off where I work so we try & share them. I'm working on Monday because I need both May Bank Hols off. Never mind, I still have 4 days, just different ones.
Nice & warm here today if a little overcast so I'm sitting here in my cycling togs, eating breakfast & will go out for a ride as soon as I feel I've digested enough.
I shall spend the rest of the day starting to prepare for our friends coming on Saturday so some cleaning & making pizza bases. DH & I are having a SC veggie curry for dinner so once that's in I can concentrate on Saturday.
I love not having to rush round in the morning, it's a much more civilised start to the day.
Glad you had a good time last night VickyA - Dilbert made us laugh last night. I can see he's going to be a fun addition to our daily chat.
Shez I think you should go out & get yourself a bottle 'on account'.
SOMO1 Poor you, I used to get tonsillitis regularly. Thankfully at 52 I seem to have grown out of it. ;) But I know how you feel & it's horrible. Thank goodness you've got a little :A to look after you.
Have a brilliant Thursday everyone. See you later.
