Good morning to everyone! Wet and gloomy here in Somerset, well in my bit anyway! ds and dh are clearing out the garage today - yippee, somewhere for the children to play when it's really wet, though I think that there may be another motive, a friend has mentioned that she's thinking of selling her pool table - hmmm!
Off to get a new WM later, can finally clear the backlog, and reclaim the office from the piles of clothes (black sacks really!), and get some wood to put up shelves in the utility so I can put my seed trays on them. Need to plant out the seeds that a lovely MSEer sent to me as she had some spares (thanks again if you're reading this!), so that I'll have something to put in my raised beds when we build them over the May bank hol, plan is that it will have warmed up a bit by then and some plants can go in them straight away.
Need to mosey on down to the freezer and check out what I can produce for lunch, think that there's some nice sausages in there, so probably toad in the hole today, and need to defrost the chicken for a roast tomorrow! Freezer clearing is coming along well, can't believe that I haven't needed to do a proper shop all hols, and the children have enjoyed choosing diff HM ready meals from the freezer! Once it's cleared I can defrost and restock, SC will then be on constantly to remake lots of ready meals!
One more thing that I'm really pleased about: ds needs a new bed and someone at work has one that their son can't use, it's too high for him (bed with sofa underneath) as he has dyspraxia and doesn't feel safe, anyway she's going to sell it to me for a very minimal amount - yippee, ds is very pleased, and so is my budget, thought he'd have to wait for a good while as need to get the new WM!
dh is slowly becoming more OS, asked if there was anything I wanted to freecyle from the garage before he took stuff to tip - now need to get on and list stuff!
Have a great day all!GC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -
Hello Again
Feeling a little fed up and down today:o not like me really but just feel like Ive had enough!! DD not talking to me as I shouted at her this morning (homework argument) and OH is in the garden painting and feel like I dont exist.....dont think they love me anymore..LOL.
Anyways, washing has gone on the line and should be dry in the next 20mins if rain holds off. Bed made and downstairs all tidy and clean. OH has made me a bed on the sofa as not feeling too good. Think I may ask DD if she wants to watch a film once her homework is done!? She was bought KingKong the other day so may watch that.
OH has been downloading a new series in the states called Commander In Chief (Geena Davies) and he's just converting to a disc...looks brilliant. Smokey112...PM me hun if your interested.
BargainRzl-OH couldnt believe the prices. We never use that Sainsburys as its so overpriced, and they dont carry any cheaper alternatives either:eek: but needed a paper for a voucher and had a butchers whilst he was there. Im still totally shocked TBH and although we dont like mushroom soup much, its impressive if we have lunchers over(peeling off the yellow sticker of course) or in with chicken as a sauce IYKWIM. The beef joint will be taken to my Sisters either this time or next time as we dont eat much beef and theres too much there for us...its a huge joint! OH ate the sub roll this morning and he said it was lovely and the mushrooms will be used in a couple of quiches with use up ham, cheese, peppers and onion...yummy!! I think he may start taking a few strolls down there weekly now....fight ya for the bargains...LOL. Or, if theres anything cheap down there which is too big, grab it and we can go halves if you want??? Let me know hun. HugsXX
Right, I best go as Im rambling and boring you folk...sorry!!
Hugs to all.

Working from home today as my Easter wind-down begins! Already traipsed over to Bury for 3 more tiles (I didn't like to point out that there are more than 3 tiles-worth smashed to smithereens ) & still awaiting news on the elusive bath.
I'm heading over to Leeds at about 4pm on the train; planning to meet OH for a traditional pre-Bradford match curry (history dictates that if we have a curry our team win, if we don't they lose!).
There's a portion of leftover chilli & rice in the fridge for my lunch (got 4 servings out of it in total, so one has gone in the freezer).
Really must get on with some work, now hugs to all, esp PP - don't worry they still love you! She's just a teenager in training! (dare I say it'll get worse before it gets better? That might depress you even more)0 -
Morning all
Stressed Out I hope you feel better soon
PP course they still love you, bet she will be in to give you a cuddle later
Why does a trip to the hospital cost so much? I barely made it by the skin of my teeth anyway thanks to DD playing up and being a total nightmare about getting ready£1.50 for the parking, £1 for the cheapest comic there for DD to keep her amused whilst I was being X-rayed. Now I'm in pain because they insisted on twisting my hips to face the right way when my hips don't go that way because of my dancing.
Luckily it's too windy to face the garden anyway and most of the seeds will hold on for another day or so.
I have to ring Mum to wish her happy birthday then I'm going to be bone idle for the rest of the morning and hope the pain dies down a bit so I can get some more housework done.
Hope everyone has a good day.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Arrrrggggghhh, I've just realised the jeans I slung on this morning to wear to the hospital have a huge hole in the crutch, I hope no one noticed!Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Morning All,
Not much OS going on here today as I am at W*** today ( 1.30-9pm)and DH is house keeper today.
I have spent most of the morning childproofing my house again as ds started crawling yesterday:T
and I realised how many things have been reinstated since dd was at that stage, eg I have already had to prise the cat food bowl of him twice, now relocated but poor cats cant get to it either, large plants now not where they should be, etc. Not a great look for a house on the market but will just have to rearrange esp for viewings.
Changed estae agents the other day as the original ones were worse than useless and already there has been a marked improvenment, so hopefully we will be on our way soon! But this showhouse look is very hard to maintain.:o
Hope all well with all you guys,
Better go and play for a while before w***!:DTrying to tidy and clean while the kids are still growing, is like trying to clear snow even though it's still snowing

Hi Lucie are you Bradford or Leeds fans? I'm interested because as a Bradford lass I know how deep the rivalry between the 2 cities is. One of my dad's favourite sayings when I was young was 'the best thing to come out of Leeds is the road to Bradford'.
I think it was just jealousy really because he was & is still an ardent Bradford City fan & Leeds were always much higher in the league.
I'm back from my bike ride (only 7 miles) soaking wet. As soon as I got out there it started that fine rain YUK. So I'm warning up with a nice cup of tea before I go & brave the farm shop & supermarket.0 -

:grouphug: PP - I'm sure they still love you
Thanks for the restaurant recommendation VickyA. There are lots of cheap/good-value places in Soho and Chinatown because they are residential areas and aren't just catering to tourists.
By the way, I forgot to say this morning - housemate has finally got his @rse in gear and signed us up for Tiscali broadbandThe added bonus is that as he'll be getting it as a tax-deductible business expense, he has offered to pay for it in full (I have lived there for nearly 4 years and have always funded our dial-up internet connection on the grounds that I would have had it anyay whether he used it or not - and because he paid for the line rental on the same basis) so my only outlay will be half the cost of buying a wireless router, and then I'll be saving the £14.99 a month I'm currently spending on Wanadoo dial-up :j Plus this will enable me to do paid2clicks a bit more often - I got very bored very quickly as the pages take so long to load over a 56k connection.
It's about time too - housemate runs a big part of his business through ebay and amazon, and I can't believe he's been putting up with a dialup connection this long.Operation Get in Shape

We're Leeds fans in this house. I'm orignally from Yorkshire & lived in Leeds for quite a few years. Tonight is the Leeds/Bradford rugby league derby, traditionally they always play each other over the Easter weekend. It will be a bit of a grudge match too, as several players swopped teams over the winter & this is the first time they've played each other since the Grand Final last year. Headingley will be packed to the rafters!0 -
Lucie, do you know if that match is on T.V tonight? Cheers!Sept. grocery challenge = £500 (221.60 so far!;))0
