Hi, I'm back, been to work & I was the only person there, so sat & did a meal plan & shopping list. Went to Asda & spent £150 (scarey) but I'm hoping it will last a month at least. I will spend tomorrow cooking & freezing as I got 2kl mince & a huge piece of pork.
Hopi ear candles are great, I use them on hubby & on DD2, very soothing.

    hope everyone is well today

good luck at the hospital PP - hope all goes well

late one for me - thought life at w**k would be back to normal now that the other person is back but no - seemed to be v busy this morning and my colleague is off today so I am covering for him - never mind short week as I have decided to take Thursday and Friday off :j

Have warned OH well - I am fed up coming home from work to find the house a mess with nothing done especially when we have the kids staying. He called me this morning to let me know that he had filled the DW but was just waiting on the lunch dishes before he put it on (I put my foot down last night and didnt do a thing with the dinner dishes - so he had them to deal with as well)
B - toast and cheese spread
    l - HM soup
d - HM pizza and chicken wings with sweet potato wedges (if I can be bothered)

better get back to work now

    Take care all

Queenie, so sorry to hear you've been having some problems here recently. I must be naiive, it never occured to me that people might have more than one personna. I'm not sure what it achieves. ...
It wouldn't occur to me either Dobie, but, it appears it is done to cause trouble: internet bullying basically. By adopting different usernames, they can cause trouble under one name but still (on the surface) seem like lovely, genuine people, under the user name they are best known by. Trouble with that is, the people who use those methods then assume others do the same ;)

My comment about "retiring" referred to the fact it was 1am :o I've no intentions of leaving, tootles, that would be giving the group who are doing the bullying what they want. ;) :silenced:

Perhaps you are being 'got at' because you are so well liked Queenie. Sadly some people can be jealous of those who are popular.

    Afternoon everyone.

Well i'm back from my shopping trip, which was very succesful, although i'm shattered now. The pedometer is at 15,000 steps :j I managed to get my bridesmaids dress sorted. Other people in the changing room felt the need to tell me how nice they thought it was - twice. It's turquoise, a satin skirt, and then a patterened bodice. Very striking. Plus, we popped into 2 different branches of Debenhams as the first one didn't have it in my size, and it had 20% off in a sale, and then had a 10% off voucher as well with my store card, so we got a £95 dress for £68. Bargain.

Also spent £70 on things for the baby, but again, picked up bits on BOGOF or sale, so hae £18 to add to PMS.

Then came home to find a £160 gas bill. It seems a lot higher than normal, so i might get DH to change again. i think npower have put there prices up twice since we changed in November.

Had a lovely jacket potato with chilli and garlic bread for lunch. Then my friend treat me to a ben and jerrys ice cream as a birthday treat. Was lovely to catch up and have a healthy walk around in the sunshine.

Hope the day is treating you all kindly.

  • SnowyOwl,
Good friday & Easter Monday are the Bank Holidays but many professionals (solicitors, doctors) take Tuesday too.
I'm off work all week & have made some appointments so I don't have to rush back to work. DS has a cousins birthday party tomorrow, I' ve been to the charity shop & recycling center to declutter ( work in progress!)
planing for the future, living for today ;)

    Evening all

Had a lovely afternoon with my teacher friend. We went to look round Peterborough Cathedral, which was really lovely. If you get a chance, then I recommend looking round it. But it's not as nice as Lincoln Cathedral :D (ok, I'm biased!).

Dilbert has been told that you're asking for his words of wisdom. True to our new moneysaving lifestyle, only have £x per week to spend.................... Dilbert has gone to the pub with a friend:rolleyes:! He's only gone for one drink, but he will be told in my best teacher voice that he NEEDS to post.
