    Morning all

Heard about the snow in other parts of Kent on the radio this morning, it's caught loads of people out, trees are down, trains not running etc.....so strange when the sky was blue (banking ominous looking clouds now) and the heating didn't even come on this morning......oh well DD's are at my mothers which is north kent, if they get snow they'll be so impressed.

Got DD's some clothes at yesterdays bootfair, 50p an item for jeans and next skirts! Bargin!

We got so much achieved, built a trampoline and got it all leveled out, put some fencing round the pond, 2 trips to the tip, got some wood and panelled the lower half of the kitchen walls where everyone keeps scratching the wall paper (just need to paint and varnish it all this morning). We even found time for a trip to a local national trust site for a walk and a coffee....amazing what you can do when there's no time contrants of lunch and dinner for kids.

L - There's a jacket potato with my name on in the fridge
T - In-laws are coming to take us out for dinner tonight :j

Hope you all have a wonderfull day

    Morning everyone
Well we finally managed to work out how to set up the new PC yesterday so I'm back. I had a quick skim of yesterdays posts last night but was too tired to post, I was asleep in the chair by 9. :o Not being able to access the internet is like losing a limb, I didn't realise how dependent I'd become until it wasn't there. Perhaps there should be a support group for us addicts! :rotfl:
PP - glad your daughter enjoyed her birthday, she'll probably remember it forever. A lovely memory for you both.
Queenie, so sorry to hear you've been having some problems here recently. I must be naiive, it never occured to me that people might have more than one personna. I'm not sure what it achieves. Anyway, please don't go away again, we all love to read your posts & missed you when you weren't here. I hope you're feeling better now. Getting an appointment at my doctors is a nightmare too.
Beautiful sunny day here in the EMids but VERY cold. I love this sort of weather in the winter but I have to admit, it's a bit much in April. We had a really bad hailstorm on Saturday. I think the seasons are shifting, we tend to have much warmer autumns & colder springs these days. I know lasy year I was still cycling in shorts at the beginning of November.
Anyway, work again today so I'd better get going only 2 more get ups then I'm off for 4 days. :j

    Good Morning all
Hopefully this will be my only day at work this week, I'm meant to be on 2 weeks hols & went to work, tues, wed, thur, fri & now today, I am not impressed as it's played havoc with many of my plans. I'm trying to get to Asda today & must get to the bank to pay a cheque in. I must finish clearing the dust bunnies from under my bed this afternoon as they seem to be breeding, lol.
Hope everyone has a good day, hugs to all.

    Good morning everybody
A lovely sunny day here and I dont work today yipeee. WM is on and I will put the stuff on the line when finished, and the DW is on too. Mondays are usually a bit of a strange day for me as OH gets up at 02.30 for work and I get up with him too, sit with him while he has his breakfast and make a flask of coffee and get his sarnies of of the fridge, the ones I made last night....if I didnt forget of course, in which case I end up making a whole loaf-full of sarnies at 2.30 am on a Monday!! He leaves at 3.30 but getting any more sleep is never easy, hence Monday's being lazy! Need to vacuum upstairs and clean our bathroom. Going to experiment with some chicken later, but I need to post a question in the forum about that.
    Have a good day :)

    Good morning,

sun here at the moment, but it might descend into hail, thunderstorms or even snow like yesterday.

I'm keeping my pot of garlic wrapped in a clear pastic sheet by the back door for some shelter. Something must be working anyway. When the cat started digging it up AGAIN yesterday, i noticed there were shoots appearing, and it shouldn't be long till they poke through the soil. Now i just have to kill the cat again. It's always fred. Ginger never does naughty stuff outside. But then ginger will try to pinch food off the kitchen benches and try and steal off your plate. I hope it is eaasier to have kids ;)

A busy day for me. I am meeting my friend at the local big shopping centre to go bridesmaid dress hunting. I haven't seen her since my wedding so it will be good to catch up. God only knows what i will look like with my 'bump' in a bridesmaid dress. I think i'll just try on in a bigger size, and then buy in my usual. I'll have 5 months to slim back down, which i think will be achievable. After all, my sister managed it in 2 and a half weeks for my wedding, although she is only 20 and size 0 blob to start with. My aim is to get the dress picked without feeling ill. I felt shocking all day yesterday, and was nearly sick as dinner was plated out. I can't wait to grow out of this bit.

PP - hope the hospital visit isn't too stressful. I'll send positive vibes.

suerob - hope you get your wish granted about time off while your house is free of lodgers

pooky - sounds like you achieved loads this weekend. Well done. Bet you are missing the kids though.

Enjoy yourselves. Wish me luck at not spending too much money. I might relent and buy my first few baby bits today while DH is not there to stop me. If i left it to him i'd be in labour and trying to buy things before going to hospital. He appreciates my organisation really.

Does no-one elses hospital have the WI or Friends of the Hospital selling snacks? When I was in our Eye Hospital this week we were able to get lovely homemade rolls, scones, cakes etc at a very reasonable price with the profits going back to the hospital.

I remember that cans were 45p compared to 60p in the machines icon7.gif

    :hello: Good morning,
First day of the Easter hols here too,and the kids are already getting on my nerves  I don't really enjoy school holidays :o Still at least me and dd don't have our usual 'getting ready' battle. She's all dressed,teeth-cleaned and hair done without any prompting from me today-typical
I'm hoping they'll all stare at the TV for a fortnight(without arguing about what to watch obviously) :rotfl:

Anyway we've had pancakes for breakfast.
    lunch - ham sandwiches
Supper - something using up leftover mash from yesterday.Might try a potato pizza type thing.Spread out mash in a shallow dish, cover with tomato sauce and other veg then top with cheese and brown in the oven. We'll see how it goes.

Lovely sunny but frosty day here so maybe the kids will play outside.I expect we'll go for a walk/cycle later.
