    Morning all,

I didn't post yesterday for one reason or another. I had a really bad day on Sat so I made myself get out and do something yesterday. OH and I went for drive thru mcflurrys before he went to work and then he dropped me off in town. I had a little wander and used a pigs back vouchers to buy a nice new blushers and some reduced lip glosses which cheered me up.

Then went home and had a nap, the went out again with Mum to the gym to see OH. I had a swim, sauna, steam room and spa and a sun bed and came home feeling much more like myself! Had beans on toast for tea and watched tell til OH got home, then we read a bit and went to bed. On the whole I managed to drag myself back from having an awful weekend! If I didn't have OH and Mum I would probably still be sat in bed feeling sorry for myself.

I also found out about Hopi ear candles last night, has anyone had any experience of this? It is a traditional therapy for ear problems. I am supposed to be having a grommit put in my ear but from past family experience I know they aren't the answer, I was hopeing that these ear candles might help, any thoughts?

I might go to yoga this afternoon but so far all I have done is sort out a meeting I am going to tomorrow. Not sure what else today hols, probably a much needed trip to tesocs as we have been running on no cash since last week and OH is paid today!! Kitten is being spayed tomorrow so I will probably spend the rest of the day worrying about her.

I also need to do a meal plan, go through the cupboard and freezer making a list of what we have and make up a shopping list.

I hope evryone has a lovely day!

    Big Hellooooooooooos to everyone

Just time for a quickie as I am at that horrible w*** place at the moment.

I had a lovely OS day yesterday, starting with an Old Style lie in until midday. I got lots of cleaning done, and lots of tidying up, lots of washing...unfortunately didn't quite manage to bake anything. I didn't budge from the house all day so spent absolutely zilch cash. I had been plagued by a nasty niff in my bedroom this past week or so, and couldn't figure out where it was coming from. I washed so many clothes, turned the mattress, changed the bedding twice, left the windows open for hours and hours on end, totally emptied my laundry basket (I use it to store tights and dry cleaning, ahem...) looked in the corners for "gifts" from the two kitties...but nothing. Eventually it dawned on me that the niff was coming from a bottle of liquid shoe polish which I hadn't put the top back on properly, so problem solved and after all that cleaning the bedroom is lovely and fresh.

It's a five day week here in N.Ireland - I got such a shock when I realised that you had to go to w*** on Good Friday over here. However to make up for it we have Monday and Tuesday as bank holidays next week - a three day week isn't a bad thing. I'm going to try and get at least one college assignment done this week so that I can enjoy a bit of the Easter break rather than spend the time with my nose in books. Somebody asked the other day what I am studying...it's a Foundation Diploma in Social and Life Sciences, basically equivalent to 3 A levels. This term I'm doing Anglo-Irish literature and Irish History - it's v.interesting, especially the history, there is so much I didn't know.

Gotta go, boss woman is due back from her tea break any minute now....

    See ya all later.

    Morning everyone

Welcome to Dilbert - come on, ya know ya want to post :D

DS1 is still at school until Thursday but DS2's pre-school is on hols. However, DS2 has come down with another bug - raging temperature and all sort of snotty and feeling sorry for himself :( Bless him - he's just listening to a Bob the Builder CD and watching tv tday - he is eating a bit and drinking water so that's OK.

Will do some general cleaning up today - in between looking after DS2. It's not too bad when he's not being clingy (like ATM) but hard to hold a heavy 3yo and vac at the same time. :) I'd also decided that this week HE IS going to be toilet trained!! So, we'll have to see how it goes. I've decided to bite the bullet and we (DS2 and I) have come to the decision that nappies are not being worn in the day again

I may even try and do some baking/other cooking today. We'll see how it goes with DS2. I do need to put BM on though. I've caught up with the laundry and even did all those bits of mending and altering last night whilst I watched 'Ghostboat' :D

PP - hope all goes well at the hospital today.
(((hugs))) to all others in need. Best go - DS2 is requiring myattention.

PP hope all goes well at the hospital,
QUEENIE please don't let those horrors get to you, we all know your compleately lovely :D
Not done much this morning just a couple of loads put on the washing line and a quick tidy of lounge and bathroom, we are still living out of boxes pretty much and will be until all the decorating has been done.
Will get out in the garden in a bit to get up more stones, our garden is more like a quarry at the momment so need to do laods before even contemplating growing veg or sewing some grass. So that is my plan for today, bought a rake , spade and fork in focus with 33% off and an extra 10% home movers discount. Basically if you take in your new house papers eg tenancy aggrement you can get a 10% discount card to use for 6 months :T
mum will be popping over later to give me a hand.
    right baby is awake.
    Hugs to all

    Good morning

I have been away for the past week, so not up to date with all that's going on.

Just wanted to say hello, & will catch up with posts (well, not the whole weeks worth)
    Hope PP's hospital visit ok.

It was nice & sunny this morning, but clouds have appeared now. Not very warm out either.

We got back from our week away to find our neighbours had had their roof cleaned - and our garden was covered with mud & moss! Yuk!!! The pond was full of it, poor fish not happy, and the filter was all clogged up. The windows were all absolutely filthy. DH spent all Saturday clearing up garden & cleaning windows. It was a bit of a shock when we got back & had no idea what it all was at first. Our neighbours were very apologetic, and they are very good neighbours so we didn't make a big deal out of it. In fact they had the same problem, because after they had their roof done, the neighbour on the other side decided she would have hers done, and they got the rubbish from hers.

    Anyway, have a good day.
  • Afternoon

Am leaving soon for the hospital, but just wanted to say a big thanks for all the nice comments and PM's...there very much apreciated:D

OH has bought me my fav Coronation Chicken baguette with onion and lettuce for lunch, DD and OH are having soup with rolls and butter. Am taking a couple of sarnies, snacks and flask with us as the prices are so expensive! DD taking her DS gameboy thingy and OH has his PDA:rolleyes: .....and I'll be being stabbed to death:eek:

Washing is all dried and been taken upstairs. SIL is here tomorrow and she will be doing some bits around the house and me ironing for me. Toilet has been cleaned and kitchen wiped down with cloth in sink being bleached. OH has also cleaned the windows in lounge.

OH has also been to Makros with his dad this morning and his dad spent £2500 on a tv and dvd recorder:eek: OH was gutted as its apparently "unbelievable?"...men!! Told him that he's lucky as my mum and dad bought a Plasma for us nearly 3 years ago and should be happy with that...he weren't impressed though:confused:

My sister has asked us up over the bank holiday weekend to stay. Im hoping I'll be OK...its about an 45mins away so will need to see how I am...but really want to go. Im always totally spoilt there and wont have to do anything, just sit and relax and catch up with me sis, mum, dad and her brats and OH. Mum has bought DD a Bratz egg and cup, so she will be made up-I hope shes bought my fav Lindt one:D

Anyway, best go. Love to all. Hope Queenie is ok.

    PP

  aarrgghhhh! builders!!

Sorry, just had to get that out of the way. Please excuse my virtual scream of frustration! As you can gather, the bathroom is still not finished & the bloke is more elusive than Lord Lucan. I will not be ripped off or treated like a fool, so this guy doesn't know how to deal with me now, as he clearly does both to his customers on a regular basis. Enough...........

Unexpected working from home day today, as my meeting was cancelled. It's given me chance to catch up on my (w**k) to do list as it was getting pretty long.
OH is on a late shift, so just me to feed tonight. I got a lonely looking chicken breast out of the freezer, but haven't decided what to do with it yet.
Hugs as necessary & hope all of you with kids on holiday aren't pulling your hair out just yet. Our street seems to have turned into some kind of under 10's playground this morning, it's chaos!
