Queenie - sorry to hear you have been having a hard time, especially as you contribute so much to the forums and are really helpful. I must have missed all this when I was away.

PP - wish I had a local Asda I love lamb.

    Off to the vitality show.

Breakfast - crossiants and bantam eggs. Someone was selling free range bantam eggs at car boot yesterday. I haven't had these since I was a teenager.

Lunch -Going to make up some cheese salad rolls, squeeze some oranges for juice and take some grapes and strawberries. I find food at these places so expensive.

Dinner -Nice and easy when we come back. I just need to cook rice as I have both curry and soup left from yesterday.

    Morning all,

Early start here - loads to do but off to a bootfair first, without the kids it will be bliss!!!!

Last nights meal was lovely, posh china, table cloth, candles, our wedding glasses the lot!!! He'd done a warm bacon and tomato salad to start, followed by chicken breasts, stuffed with cheesy, garlic butter, wrapped in bacon, he'd cooked them in foil in the oven and they were so moist. Served with garlic roasted new potatoes, steamed mange tout and baby sweetcorn and served with a bottle of my fav wine!

Was lovely to just sit, take our time and enjoy the food and each others company - must do that more often....we will make time, we will!!!!!

Going to make a huge vat of soup later - but first things first....boot fair here we come!

    Have a great one all.

    Hello everybody,

I got all my laundry washed and dried today. It's a bit overcast here atm and by the feel of it we're in for a cold night. 28_3_8.gif:D DH is off again at 3am in the morning. I plan on doing my house clean early as DGS is coming to visit. Not sure what time but I'd like to get it out the way. Ironing needs doing as well.

I had a pretty laid back day today and enjoyed it with DH. Snowy get off that small posterior of yours ;) and start walking now. 7_2_118.gif, you too Suzy. I love walking but hate to do it alone. I love to chat when I walk, DH is usually glad when we reach home as he hasn't been able to get a word in edgeways. :D

    Queenie ((((((((36_1_67.gif)))))

Have a nice day everyone. Byeeeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

    Just in from work

quite a stressful night so having a wind down before bed

having terrible trouble with gastric reflux lately (at least that's what the GP says it is) and only sleeping 2 hrs at a time before waking up spluttering and coughing :(

going to take some warm milk up with me

it was Dad's b/day yesterday and he came for tea, we had SC gammon on sandwiches and dips etc, but I cooked 3 small joints together in SC, two for the party and one to have cold tonight to save me cooking when I get up

asked DD to tidy food cupboards for me today so I can see what I've got and have a cheap shopping week hopefully

have a good day all but goodnight from me :)

    Queenie -

    Morning all!

Queenie - I am hoping for it to be a bit of a confidence boost and must admit im looking forward to learning how to defend myself! My dad used to teach me when I was younger as he used to do some martial arts but I dont see him that often due to distance (and a wicked stepmother lol! :o ) and have forgotten most of it all! I could do with something that boosts the old confidence a bit anyway, and could do with doing something that boyf isnt involved in.

Speaking of boyf - things improved a little last night but I think ive now got to the point where I simply do not trust him to do as he is told. That might sound awful in itself (doing as told) but Ill make no apologies for me being very tidy, a bit of a control freak and with him not working - it doesnt really seem to me that asking him to take delivery of a bed is that big of an order! Anyway - things will play out as they are meant to, its last chance saloon for him to get his act together and if there is any other failure to keep to his end of the bargain then he is going to have to move out for my sanity's sake.

On to more positive things, I had a great week at work last week with the job shuffle and am feeling a lot happier - it seems to suit my skills better and the week just flew by. It also gives me a bit more flexibility in working hours which pleases me no end!

I also had a good day cleaning wise yesterday - i went on a bit of a spring clean mission and cleaned the kitchen cabinets (eww - that was terrible  ) The bathroom in entirety even washing the paintwork etc, hoovered, mopped, dusted, filed, threw away, put in loft, and generally 'sorted' the house out. Its looking very organised! Ive thought of a colour scheme for the bedroom and planned around it (girly and pretty!). I even fixed the over cooker extractor fan which hasnt worked in 3 weeks (fuse in plug and bulbs!!) and fitted an interior light to the wardrobe.

Anyway - I must go and get my sports rags on and make pretty - ive got to leave soon!

Hope you all have a lovely day!

    Good morning everyone.

It is so bright and sunny here. Makes a change from the snow yesterday. Havn't ventured out yet so it could be freezing!!

Plans for today include one or possibly two loads of washing. Quick clean and tidy of the kitchen and bathroom. Nothing else really needs doing so just whatever I can find to keep myself busy!

Took a chicken out to defrost yesterday so will probably cook today but have it all prepared to eat tomorrow. Like to have nice and easy stuff ready when I am working.

Gonna go just now as paper has arrived so will have a quick read and get on.

    Have a great day folks.

    Hi everyone

It's another beautiful day here so will be able to get the washing outside in a while.

OH is reading the Sunday paper and doing the crosswords (should keep him quiet for a while!)

I have got some serious meal planning to do as OH's family (daughter, son and daughter-in-law and their one year old) are decending on us on Wednesday for a week  . Apart from that I think it should be a quiet day.

    Morning all :hello:

Queenie - sorry to hear that you're having a bad time. You're so very supportive and always come up with sensible ideas. It was really nice to have you reply to my post about wedding favours. It was a balanced reply and I appreciated that greatly.

I'm up "early" (it is Sunday afterall  ) because I have told OH that we NEED to get to Tesco early. Of course, he has only just got out of bed. :)

I forced him/gently persuaded to wach my favourite film of all time last night: "When Harry Met Sally". When our video player died I had to get rid of my video version................ not to worry because I got a DVD version from CD-Wow pretty swiftly :D He didn't even realise hehehehehehehe. If you've never watched it -gents as well as ladies - then I suggest that you do! OH didn't once pick up the paper. Quite a success! :)

We've got an ironing pile the size of Everest, which I will be trying to attack today.

Breakfast: branflakes (tesco own version), cuppa
lunch: HM carrot and coriander soup (taken out of freezer)
supper: turkey (yellow sticker from co-op) and veg stir fry

Have a good day all
