Morning all,
PP so pleased the party went ok, sounds like evryine had a ball.... Mr P well done on selling the house, take your time and buy what you feel happy with, you have got to live there and its very traumatic moving especially when you have lived in a house for so long.
Bright morning, towels in the WM for tonight so hope its fine tomorrow. SC on with a beef stew and leek and lentil soup on the stove for lunch. I left the BM on last night to cook a loaf for lunch, OH went and switched the power off..........so no fresh bread for lunch, its on now....will not be finished until about 1pm so bread with soup tomorrow, toast today.......
OH starts playing bowls next weekend so we switch to summer mode......Thursday afternoons to myself and also the occasional Saturday.........
Chicken wih all the trimmings for supper tonight, I cut a couple ofslices of the raisinand cinnamon loaf and made a bread and butter pudding to cook in the oven with the chicken........scrummy........
Nothing really planned for today hoping to get a little more of my quilt done, it keeps casting a baleful eye on me from the chair in the living room where its sitting.....I need to get down to it, two years is far too long.
(((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))) to anyone who need them..... hope all goes well at the hospital tomorrow PP.

Got up, cleaned my teeth, am now on second cup of tea, switched on the Lava Lamp for a little entertainment. Thinking about going for a paper and what to do with the contents of the freezer........ Ho Hum.
This post really made me laugh out loud, thank you Mr P
Haven't done a thing most of the week apart from hospitals and drs and bed, washing piling up all over the house, meals have been cheese and crackers or pate and crackers picnic style on my bed but daughter getting out the cook books for something more substantial today once the freezer has been raided.
Thanks Q for the ideas for her, I'll let you know how it turns out later.0 -
Mr P - congratulations on selling your house!
I had some semi-bad news this morning. My grandpa is in hospital. My mum took him in last night with a chest infection/cold and he hasn't been eating or drinking so is dehydrated  He's only 90! He should be fine, but it wasn't very nice getting a text from my mum saying "Grandpa is in hospital".

Apparently he wasn't talking much when my mum left him in hospital at midnight. This means that he's definitely unwell as I once popped round (he lives by himself, still drives and still drives my mum up the wall
) for 10 mins and I was there for 3hrs! You just can't get away from him - all quite interesting stuff though. We're laying bets on who will talk most at our wedding - grandpa or OH's brother in law. Both have the gift of the gab!

We moved into our new house on monday and its great, even if its a tip and needs compleate refurbishment.
I have been totally o/s this week washing by hand , hanging on the line, most meals from scratch ect ect, I will be so skinny once I have got all the work done so much to do, supposed to be out in the garden now , but needed to get my o/s fix, it has only taken 2 hours to get the internet up and running :rotfl: :rotfl:  but i got here in the end.
comp is on a box under the stairs as my comp table fell apart  so am sat here freezing. only got the heating sorted thursdays had none until then, i was so cold
I will post some pics of the house premove later and let you have a nose of all that needs to be done.
we hired a sander to do the floors which promptly went bang so only half our bedroom was done. have ripped all the dreaded wall paper off the lounge walls now we need to put up lining paper and paint, ha with 3 littluns it might get done in 20 years time :rotfl:
But we are in and I am so much happier will pop back later.
