had another great sleep last night - went to bed about 10pm and got up about 845am - I normally dont sleep as long as that but I reckon I must have needed it
Cats want out so will wait till I am hanging washing out (need to wait for OH to come home from work first - he has the kids to pick up so it will be nearer midday before the washing is finished)
Just to give the couches a brush down and everythink is tidy - hoovered last night.
Seeing as we have kids here until Wednesday I need to make sure that all the dinners till then are prepped as I just know OH will not do anything. - left out ribs for marinading today for tomorrow - I will make HM pizza as well - can I make the dough today for that.dinner for Tuesday will be chicken fajittas (DSD doesnt like fajitas so she will just have plain chicken, no veg etc in the wraps
)
B/l - bacon and egg sarnie
d - spag bol (made last week and in freezer) and garlic bread
Have a lovely Sunday all

Hello everyone.
I haven't been able to log in much as the first week of the month is always manic, but that's over now so I,m trying to catch up a bit on the week's posts.
Lovely weather here, first wash load is already done and about to be hung out, with the next one ready to go in the machine. One more load after that then we should be ready to go off on our holidays on Wednesday - a week in sunny (hopefully!) Cyprus.
Nothing much planned for today, other than maybe a wander round Costco - cup of tea and a pastry each for a grand total of £1.50 - bargain!!0 -
God morning all
WM is on, dw is waiting for breakfast dishes and then will be on, and, most importanly, the coffee machine is on! Sunday is always a funnny kind of day in our house. Husband has to leave for work on monday morning at 3.30 and doesnt come home till friday evening, so sunday is spent getting his clothes ready and making sarnies for him for the day on monday, and making sure he has stuff he needs for his lorry and things like that. And an early night on sunday night of course!
When we were in France a few weeks ago, we bought a 5kg box of Chicory that now needs using up. I need to find my Chicory soup recipe so he can take a flask of that with him. OH is from Belgium and LOVES Chicory, I cant stand the stuff myself, so it only gets eaten when he is home at weekends and doesnt last forever! Breakfast today will be toast and ceral and lunch for him will be leftovers of friday nights dinner......chicory braised them wrapped in ham, covered in cheese sauce, topped with grated cheese and breadcrumbs and them baked! He says it is wonderful cold, but I KNOW that it will be yucky!
Cant wait till next weekend, a whole 4 days of weekend :j
Take care all

Morning all
It's really nice weather again today. DH managed to cut the lower lawn yesterday before it rained, so we might get the rest done today. He's gone off now for his bike ride in the peaks, leaving me to relax. I was going to experiment with the slow cooker today but made a rookie error. I forgot to get the meat out the freezer last night, and i don't like defrosting it in the microwave, so i will leave that to through the week to try.
I need to drastically tackle the washing. I did a couple of loads yesterday, but i really don't know where it all comes from. I suppose it's partly because DH had a set of clothes yesterday for doing the car and garden in, and then changed, and then today he will have a set he rides his bike in, and then change. I need to get more organised with this.
Plan today - make bread while DH is out, clean the cooker, get the WM on at least once. (must get DH to replace my washing line that he broke last summer) Clean the bathroom if i'm feeling really energetic.
Jo - hope the class goes well. Sounds like you have had a productive and enjoyable weekend.
PP - glad the party went well and you got so much help. Your picture had disappeared from yesterdays thread for me, so i didn't get to see it, but it sounds like it went down well.
queenie - sorry you are feeling unconfortable. I can't even begin to imagine where someone would have got that idea fromIt wouldn't even occur to me to have more than one ID. It takes up far too much time just having one :rotfl: hope a sleep and a nice day make you feel better.
hello everyone else.
have a nice day. I'm going to try to not be around much today, but i know how weak i am, so i'll probably be back again within the hour

goodmorning all, snowing here again, but not lying thank goodness. pretty quiet day today, might have walk round village later on, oh and i used to enjoy really long walks on the old railway line but am too nervous to go on my own and really miss the walk. ds1 up yesterday just back from a three week course near london in prep for going to iraq later in year, his oh was away with the sea cadets so he forgot to take up celtic necklace for his sisters wedding in june, something borrowed, men..lol still plenty of time yet.wont be at wedding though as they are getting married at gretna green on the way to devon for two weeks hol, but looking forward to seeing the three boys in their kilts, littlest one is one year old on friday. dd thought it was time they were getting married as the two oldest boys were always asking..lol hope everyone has a good day today, love to all0

:hello:Good morning everyone,
Skipkoo,I think the chicory sounds lovely mmm...though tbh better hot
Queenie, sorry to hear you're having difficulties, not really sure what's been going on,but I always appreciate your posts. You take so much trouble to remember what everyone has said on this thread,I can only remember the last post I read:rotfl:
Having a peaceful weekend in the House of Thrift.Kids played outside with the neighbour kids most of yeterday (we live in a quiet cul-de-sac).
Made a low-fat beef stew on Friday which involved several complicated stages, including freezing the juices in order to let the fat solidify and be discarded.I froze half the finished stew and we had the other half yesterday. It was OK.But tbh I think it would have been better if I'd done it in the SC on Friday, refrigerated it overnight and then scraped the fat off.Much simpler.
Today we're having sausages-not very low fat,but who cares
I might make a nice pud too, treacle tart maybe?
I think we're nearly out of bread so a baking session may be on the cards.0 -
I know I very rarely post on here (cos nowt happens to me) but it did yesterday, big time, I had a viewing for the house and they turned up mob handed too! Their kids jumped all over my beds and disappeared into the loft. Loved the house and 1 hr later made an offer at just under the asking price, cash buyer too. So I guess that I shall have to load up the proctster soon and drive off in to the night with all my goods and chattels. I'm sort of chuffed but also dismayed at the EA,s bill because I've just changed them and they haven't even got a sign up yet. Still as one door closes another one opens. I shall be living in interesting times.
The kids are already trying to spend my money and get me to live on a sink estate but as I've never sold a house before (been here since 1960) I guess I shall have to take my time. The quicker you fall behind, the longer you have to catch up...0 -
Exciting news Mr P :j
Blimey, you've lived in that house a long time,my parents have been in theirs since 1966.Interesting times ahead indeed.
Btw, your life doesn't have to be interesting to post on this thread :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -
Erm........... OK then
Got up, cleaned my teeth, am now on second cup of tea, switched on the Lava Lamp for a little entertainment. Thinking about going for a paper and what to do with the contents of the freezer........ Ho Hum.The quicker you fall behind, the longer you have to catch up...0
