    Afternoon all!

Glad to hear that your daughter's party went well P-P! For some reason you popped into my thoughts yesterday as ds's friends were arriving for his sleepover, prior to his paintballing party today (curtesy of Mr T and his vouchers, wouldn't be paying £35 per head otherwise!)

Sorry to hear that there has been a bit of a problem here for you Queenie, not sure what has been happening, as it's Easter hols here, so haven't had much access to the pooter! But from what I've seen your posts are always lovely, offer really good advice and generally make me smile!

Well today, ds and friends are off paintballing and will then be returning at about 5pm for baked potatoes and sausages/sausage rolls, so no lovely roast today! dd1 is still at her friends, think she's waiting for ds's friends to all go home! dd2 and dd3 have just helped make Black Saturns omlettes in bun tin things, so we shall have those with HM chips in a bit hopefully, they have also just found and followed a recipe for strawberry mousse - looking forward to trying that too! dh is out for another run at the mo, prior to his half marathon, he's doing really well and has raised lots in sponsorship for the British Heart Foundation, so I'm feeling very proud of him (except for yesterday when he tried to repair the WM, and made it worse and flooded the kitchen!).

Hope that everyone has a lovely Sunday.

Well, BIL has just replaced the brake pad on one side of the car!! That's the last time I ever use a particular garage for any work. They managed to get the front offside pad to bind so that it was worn completely away - after this they managed to knacker the rear brakes so badly they almost got us killed. I always said after they serviced it for us first time that I wasn't happy with them, but Mr TM was and it was easy to send the car there!! We live (just :D) and learn.

Thanks for the link racy - I shall look into it later. I have tins and paper liners at the ready, as well as some very ripe bananas. I am now off to sort out my wardrobe - and to find somewhere to put my bags so that I use them (I've always been a 'use one bag until it falls to bits' kinda girl)

Hey - maybe I'll have to organise an OS meet near an outlet centre next time :rotfl: Squeaky - there are pubs and swings and slides there too :D

Just put a batch of kirsyreanne's banana muffins in the oven............... they are smelling deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeevine! :D One might have just "accidentally" got too much in and isn't as perfect as the others. I think I may well just have to taste it, to stop OH from banana muffin poisoning. :D

Got a banana loaf ready and waiting to go in too. :D Better make room for it amongst the muffins :D:D

    Hi everyone,
Lots of O/S going on in our house this weekend. Have bought my first ever microfibre cloths and they're fab :j so I'm going through the house on a mad cleaning frenzy.
Boyf has taken apart an old chest of drawers from the spare room and also taken loads of rubbish from there down to the tip, ready for the plasterer coming on Saturday.
This week's going to be a bit mad as we've got loads going on with the house, our back boiler is being taken out and replaced with a combi and we're swapping our fire too, so loads of mess this week
Today I'm going to finish cleaning the kitchen (already done bathroom and bedroom) then after that I've got a big pile of ironing to tackle. I'll do have while watching Easties, and then the boyf will do the other half watching football :T
Hugs to everyone who needs them :grouphug:

Good Afternoon Everyone, I have just got up and still in pjs! :o I had no idea I was that tired! It was only the heavy hail shower that woke me!

Got absolulty nothing to do today :T Which is probably a good thing as I've lost half the day already! :o Thought I'd give myself a day off as a treat for all the O/T I have been doing at work!

Going to pop to Adsa later to see if they have any half price lamb left ( thanks PP!)

Queenie, I always enjoy your posts and the advice you give is always fantastic, I hope whatever has been said does not get repeated. You do not deserve it at all.

Well, OH & DD have headed off to the cinema with friends. OH prepared all the spuds and veg before-hand and have to turn the cooker up at 3'ish for the roast spuds. Lamb is cooking very slowly so should be devine later. OH does a wicked mint gravy using the dribs of juices from the meat...delish!

Washing blowing on the line, keeps going overcast and am hoping it wont rain till they get back as I cant get it.

Im really bored and fed up! Just put on Coldcase from the other night and have done some reading for me degree and am just laying on the sofa with quilt, pillows and laptop......still!!!!!
TM-You have reminded me that our car needs its MOT in 2 weeks:eek: need it to pass as cheapily as possible then will hopefully be getting a newer car later in the year. You did well with your bargains yesterday and so did Nelski.

    See ya.

  • Just had to post as I'm really proud of myself,

I went to Topshop this afternoon, really really wanted to spend some money and get some new clothes, which was very naughty of me anyway as I was going to buy them with my just recently cleared Topshop store card!! But I went it there, had a look around, picked up some really nice bits of clothing (were really really nice!!) and I walked around a bit more and then I gradually hung everything back up and left the shop! :j

    I've been Money Tipped!
Haven't been very ol style today I'm afraid! Had a bit of a spend up in M & S and Debenhams on holiday clothes. Didn't mess around though sourced most of the stuff through the internet and just popped into town to try them on and buy. Not so tiring that way! I got a lovely trouser suit for our flight out to Orlando (only 13 sleeps to go :j am getting very excited now) and a beautiful dress to wear when we go out to celebrate our 30th anniversary while we are out there. Oh boy will we have to penny pinch when we get back!:o

PP - so glad that your dd's party went so well and that you enjoyed it too. I was thinking of you yesterday and keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Bargain Rzl - well done on your winnings on the Grand National! Lovely to hear when someone wins something!

Catowen - Hope your little ones are recovering well from last weeks accident and that this sunday is a bit more relaxing for you.

Queenie - Please keep posting ! Thanks to your postings last year I have adjusted to being at home now, still feel useful and now have taken up some hobbies with more confidence than I did have. I often feel inspired to go and try something that you have posted about, I now have several notepads in different colours ready to use as price books, christmas pressie ideas, measurement lists etc :D

No idea what was going on earlier:confused: please can we all get back to being the nice friendly supportive place that ol style is meant to be!

Hope everyone else is ok! (((((HUGS)))))

Funny I was going to make a banana loaf this afternoon with leftover nana's - but seeing this note about the muffins - can I ask - is a muffin tin different from a normal 12 bun tin, as i only have one of these - are muffin tins deeper??
if i can use my normal tin i might give these a go.

Purpleprincess: well done - i too went to asda and only came out with the milk!! cant believe it! probably be different story tomorrow when i just pop in for bread! ha ha
