We posted two mobile phones to Mazuma on Monday afternoon (using the special delivery option for security, as the phones were worth about £150), recieved an email on Tuesday morning telling us that they had been received, a further email on Tuesday afternoon confirming that the transaction was complete and our Argos/Homesbase card was on its way, and then received the card itself in the post on Wednesday. They paid us what we expected, and did it very quickly and with no hassle. The whole process could not have been quicker or more efficient. They do not offer the very highest prices (although they are well up there), but I would use them every time, for their trustworthiness and great service. And if you go for the Argos/Homebase card option, instead of cash, the amount you receive is up there with the very highest (and remember that those other companies who offer high prices might not be so reliable and efficient). I would recommend Mazuma.
  • Posted two old dusty bricks of to Mazuma and bingo lights, no probs, voucher on its way.

  • Can anyone tell me if they've sent a faulty mobile to Mazuma, and if they were given the price they were quoted online? (I've heard stories, whether they are true of companies severely reducing the estimate once they get hold of the phone). Mines is a HTC Sensation and the screen is majorly cracked in several places, unsure if this would meet the terms and conditions and i'd get the £55 quoted. (everything else on the phone is fine)

Posted an iPhone 4 16 Gb by special delivery on Tuesday afternoon. Had the full amount promised (210£) in my account on Wednesday afternoon. You just can't beat that! Highly recommended!
  • I posted my iPhone 3GS to Mazuma last Thursday after looking at the positive comments on this site.
I received an email from them yesterday morning (the following Monday) to say it had been received. I then received another email from them yesterday afternoon to say my cheque had been issued. I returned home after work this evening to find my cheque was already here. So I received my cheque within 3 working days AND for the amount quoted.
    That's a quality service :j

Good to read all this positive feedback as I have just purchased a new mobile and am contemplating sending my old one to Mazuma. :)

This may be a very thick question, but do you literally just post the phone to them or do you have to send the charger, instructions and all the gubbins that came with it?

Hello, that's not a thick question, I wondered that too ;)
They just want the phone, in fact when the pack comes it states to please not send anything else. I just wrapped up my iPhone in paper kitchen roll, popped it in the bag they sent and put it in the post box. Oh I wiped the data off it first and removed the sim.

That's great. Thanks for the info!

Have just registered with Mazuma so my freepost bag should be on its way! :j

Used mazuma as my usual company fonebank didn't advertise my brand of phone this time. I have always been very happy with fonebank. Mazuma were also fab. Sent phone on Monday and payment arrived Wednesday. Phone had scratches on screen but I still received full quoted price. Hth
