    We are getting our Sky + and multi room set up tomorrow. Sky sent a local company out last Sunday but they were not the High Ladders team - I did atcually tell the S.A when booking that originally we had 2 guys out who were high ladders team:rolleyes:

    Tomorrows engineer has phoned to say he will be over 9-12 just hoping the weathers ok for him to go up on the roof as so windy here.

    So sounds like we might get it set up this weekend - am misisng my Sunday lie in:rotfl:

  • How long are people being advised they have to wait before they can expect to complete their upgrade?

    When I completed the registration for the upgrade I was sent an email stating it would be 1-3 weeks before I could complete the order. I logged onto the 'My Sky' section of the Sky website this morning and the wait had changed to 1 month. I have just logged again but this time I got this message: You have successfully registered to upgrade. We expect you should be able to complete your order in around 2 months.

    Has anyone else noticed this? 2 months seems a very excessive amount of time before I can even make appointment to have the boxed installed.
  • I registered on Wednesday 28th Jan for the box, received an email to book installation on Friday 30th Jan and have just booked my installation for Tues 2nd Feb

    The only good thing about going direct to sky is: you can get cash back from "topcashbacks"... but thats it... sky are utterly useless o_0

    I did see somewhere on some Sky paper/site that due to high demand for HD it could be 8 weeks or so for existing customers?

    Ive only waited 2 weeks as I needed a weekend call out (and they sent the wrong people last Sun) they offered me a visit within a few days if Id of been ok with a weekday visit.

    Im hoping the weathers ok tomorrow for this fitting!!!

  • I ordered online yesterday lunchtime (30th Jan)

    Had an e-mail today to say I can expect to hear in 6 - 10 weeks :eek:

    Just checked on the tracking on Sky website - says 7 - 12 weeks :confused:

    I noticed that the M&S vouchers are only for people who get the HD installed before March 31st, so if Sky make people wait over 2 months for installation then they are saving themselves paying out all those vouchers. Am I just being cynical or is this a ploy by Sky to get out of paying up?:confused:
  • Does anyone know how SkyHD works with a communal dish?

    Not sure how they would run the extra wires from the dish, which is not on the same building as our house, to our sky socket

    We have had Sky + fitted this morning engineer was spot on time at 9am did a great job - Sky had sent us a new dish too as ours was so old.

    Nice neat job - Sky + needed extra lead like HD does.

    Multiroom set up in my room so no more sharing SKY with parents, he has left the link thing I had before so I can watch anything recorded on SKY+ in this room too.

    I just need to get a 2nd scart lead so I can link box to dvd recorder and then record Sky too.

    It came in a white Sky box - he said there are a lot of reconditioned ones about in brown boxes. Said Its gone mad since the offer - and that average waiting time is up to 3 months! He should not of been out today as his mate was off sick but still did the call out as he had no idea when he could next get over due to being fully booked by Sky.

    Impressed with new set up - hope everyone gets their upgrades/installs soon?

    well i hadnt heard from sky about my hd that i had registered for and was a bit worried i had been missed out!
    so i phoned today and sky said they had sent me an email to tell me to get in touch re an installation time- i didnt receive the email so the woman said that unfortunately i had missed my 'time slot' and the first date they could send an engineer round was thursday 5th of feb! 5 days wait doesnt seem bad-
    dont know why some of you are having to wait months?:confused::confused:
