    Yes.

As this is an OVP tariff, itemised billing is charged at the same rate as Voda charge, so it works out at an extra £1.50/month - and this is not included in the cashback deal.

On a normal tariff with Vodafone, I understand that you can choose not to have itemised billing and do not have to pay the £1.50 per month.

As it is an OVP tariff, can you again choose not to have itemised billing with Orange?

I am on Orange therefore not sure whether you have to pay for billing on Vodafone - however, as they offer online billing, why would you pay £1.50 for a print version?

    That would be the answer!

But it's not the case - where did you get this from, please?

I know an ex-colleague of mine who has a pay monthly contract with Vodafone (not the OVP version) and he has been saving the itemised billing charge each month by choosing not to have it.

Just like with T-Mobile, I know for a fact that you can choose not to have itemised billing to avoid paying an extra £1 per month.

The question is whether Orange let you do this with their OVP tariffs.
  • Hi

Be very careful with onestopphoneshop's cashback deals.

I would never ever buy from this company again.

T-Mobile is a different animal - they don't include itemised billing in their tariffs, if you want it it's an optional extra.

The Orange tariff replicates the standard Voda tariff which has the £1.50 charge:

    Full details here:

ORANGE TARIFF (Note the "itemised billing charge")

This may be a hybrid arrangement with his airtime provider - the OVP matches the standard tariff - and does include the billing charge.

see the 100 minutes is that cross network to other mobiles and to landlines ? peak or off peak ?

and is the 100minutes include access to wap / gprs ?

To claim the cash back would i have to send them copies every 3 months, and they refund every 3 months ?

Can you pay the full years line rental upfront and then wait 3 months for the full balance back.. and would there be any discount like tmobile if u done it this way ?

Also do you get the vat back, i know the last time i done this with tmobile and scancom they didnt give the vat back.

i have had one phone from them and had no problem with cashback.

    the real question i have is;
if they can afford to give so much cashback how much must they be getting from orange for each contract sold, and how much must orange make from each contract if they can afford to be the seller so much?

these osps deals seem to be the best deals i have seen i think.

does this mean we can look foward to seeing imporved deals on the way?
  • like someone else said, 'buyer beware'... always go to https://www.deja.com and read what people have written on there re : companies like this, then decide if the risk is worth it.

To be honest, 11 pounds a month isn't too much to lose, so if I REALLY wanted it I'd go for it, but from what I've read these guys are not the most reputable when it comes to cashback deals.

I have read the comments, some positive, some negative, about this company but have decided to proceed (with caution).

Their website FAQ includes the following
Have I any guarantee that you can deliver what you say?

One Stop Phone Shop is ISO 9002 approved therefore our customers are guaranteed the best possible levels of service. We want you to be happy with your purchase, and would like to hear from you if you think any part of the 'experience' can be improved, please e-mail the Customer Services Director at XXXXXX@onestopphoneshop.co.uk.
(e-mail address removed to avoid him getting spam, but available from http://www.onestopphoneshop.co.uk/faq.php

I found this slightly reassuring (particularly as ISO9002 is a third party verification of their systems - if systems are not reliable then this is something else to pursue.  It also gives the director's address to contact.

The cost is £11 per month for first 3 months then £22 per month for the next 9months (unless you drop to a lower/different tariff after 6months which is the minimum period).

    Kind regards

    Mr B
