    thepearce,

i also had ordered nokia 7600 end of oct with the promise of delivery within one week. A week went by and i contacted them. They told me they had problems with supply and it will be with me within the week. Another week went by and no delivery. Rang them up, have been told  there is a long waiting list for the nokia 7600 on 3 network. I told them to cancel my order which they did. A week goes by and i find a card in my letterbox. Someone had a delivery for me. I rang the delivery firm, Initial city link,  and asked them who it was from. They had no idea but it felt like a mobile phone. He said he will pop in that evening for me to have a look.

Confused i rang e2save, they told me to simply reject the delivery. the cancellation of order might have been overseen by the dispatch dept. I asked who the delivery company was they told me it was Initial city link.

The delivery guy came and let me have a look at the package. There was no return address and i had not ordered anything for a while so i rejected it.

so don't be suprised to receive a delivery. Simply reject it.

i live in nottingham and they used initial city link. I don't know if they use the same firm where you live

Ah communication is great if used

Thanks for the reply. I kind of feared that. The problem is I've asked for delivery to work - which is an office over a few thousand people (IBM UK HQ) - so there's no chance of refusing the delivery. I will call them on Monday, yet again and ask for written confirmation. If they do decide to persist with delivery i will tell them they have to collect it at their expense within X days.

Not confident though as I have had some real bad service from them so far.

e2save : "Yes - your order was despatched today"
me : "Really, today? oh right"
    e2save : "Yes that's what it says"
me : "Hmmm - but you I haven't given you any of my details yet".
Yep - she was just making it up >:(

Undeterred i called back again and spoke to someone else who said the line rental was £22, first three months at £11, and the line rental would be in three stages at months 6, 9, and 12. When I asked how much ,he worked it out manually and said £71 each time.

The point is that if there own staff don't know how much the rental is, should we all be jumping for the stars on this one?

Also does the free line rental assume you downgrade after 6 months? and what is the terms of the contract?
    i phoned up and was told cash back at months 6 - for £99, month 9 for £66 and month 12 for £66. No you don't need to change contract after 6 months, cashback = £231, rental = 3x £11 + 9 x £22 = £231.

    Bad advice!

You can terminate the contract at any time, (and keep the handset), but you will have to pay up the remainder of the full 12 months outstanding to Orange! You would also be unable to claim any further cashback from OSPS who require copies of the latest bills before paying out any cashback.

Correct me if i am wrong but this is from there small print

Onestopphoneshop are able to offer you this outstanding package based on your choice of handset and tariff, providing you with discounts of up to £250 off the high street. The offer made is subject to you remaining on your chosen tariff for a minimum period of 6 months on Orange, O2, vodafone and three and 11 months on T-mobile.
Please note that 1p will be debited from your card as a security check.

Say's nothing about having to stay on for 12 mths, only 11mths on t-mobile

    Fair enough!

You originally posted bad advice about terminating after 6 months.

You are now quoting that the tariff can be changed after 6 months.

The contract is for a minimum of 12 months.

They only allow you to alter the tariff after 6 months.

Minimum Term: the period of 12 months commencing on the date of Registration.
Monthly Billing Date: the day in each month on which your billing statement will be issued after you have been connected. ;)

    Yes.

As this is an OVP tariff, itemised billing is charged at the same rate as Voda charge, so it works out at an extra £1.50/month - and this is not included in the cashback deal.

    Couple of questions:
Are these phones shipped locked to Orange and if so are they easy to unlock?
Can you also cancel the contract after 12 months easily and are Onestopphoneshop a reliable company???

Overall, so long as you stick to the letter of the agreement, then you should get your money back?

Otherwise, wouldn't it fall under unfair contract terms leglislation and/or false advertising?

This sounds like an excellent deal - hopefully there will be some reassurance from people who have had deals with Onestopphoneshop before (I have checked the board and there was, shall we say, mixed views).

Many thanks for any advice - the Siemens CX65 is retailing SIM free at between £145 and £164 (see http://audiovisual.kelkoo.co.uk/b/a/sbs/100020213/10478079.html) and up to £197 (see http://www.phones2udirect.co.uk/Products/type/phones/ProductID/5043/NetworkID/280/Siemens_CX65.asp), therefore this could be a cheap way of replacing my phone if the offer works.
