the ericson k500i has got 12 months free line rental on orange ovp 100. at osps
is this phone better than the t610?
there are other good deals on this phone on other tariffs as well
Well spotted that man! - You've just beaten me to it.
However...there's far more than this on offer on their site at the moment. Here are the full details:
FREE phones with 12 months FREE line rental
Sony Ericsson K500i
Siemens CX65
First 3 months charged at half price by the network.
Remainder claimed via cashback - schedul currently uncertain.
Not only are they offering these handsets for free on OVP Vodafone Anytime 100, they are also offering two higher specified phones on Orange OVP Vodafone Anytime 200 with NINE months free line rental:
Nokia 6600
SPV C500
Again, the first 3 months is charged at 1/2 price by the network.
The remainder is claimable as cashback - schedule uncertain.
That's only £90 over the minimum term of the contract, which is only HALF the price of the recent Mobileshop deal with these phones on the same tariff.
There may well be other good deals lurking on the OSPS site - I'll need a bit of time to digest what's on there - if I see anything else noteworthy I'll append it to this thread.
Notes to bear in mind:
The One Stop Phone Shop website always seems to be silent on the issue of the cashback schedule and the exact amount of cashback whenever they quote their deals in terms of reduced line rental.
Be aware that OSPS are among the most unbendable when it comes to their cashback terms and conditions. Stick to them like glue and you should be fine but veer from them even slightly and they will leave you high and dry.

This OVP Voda 100 tariff - are the 100 minutes cross network........ the rpoints / osps page confuses me - seems to say the minutes are only on-net (orange to orange) or to BT landline. Which is it?
If it's true xnet I think I may cancel my e2save 4.99 / month job that is out of stock. Thanks.0 -

OVP Voda 100 and OVP Voda 200 are Orange copies of the Vodafone Anytime tariffs - they will be cross network. If not, then it's not OVP Voda 100/200.

It says on their site in the customer service section under redemption details:
Q. When and how do I claim?
A. When purchasing certain deals from us, you may have been offered as part of your package a free gift or cash back. As explained in the literature that you received with your phone, these free gifts or cash backs have a specified time period in which they must be claimed. If your cash back or free gift is not claimed within these periods then this offer will expire.
Your redemption times for your free gift or cash back will appear on your invoice and they will be denoted by the letter ‘m’ followed by a number. For example, ‘£25 cash back m3’ would signify you are able to claim £25 cash back after 3 months of being connected. Please be aware that you have a 45 day period to claim your free gift from this date.
Copy the first 2 pages of your most recent airtime agreement within the times specified and attach this to the Gift Redemption Certificate which is enclosed within your package. You will then need to send these documents to the address below marked for the attention of ‘Claims Department’. Please make sure you include the page which states which tariff you are connected to. Your bill must not include any outstanding balances as we will be unable to forward your free gift should payments not be up to date.
Please ensure you adhere to these guidelines as failure to follow these procedures, or claiming outside the claim period, will result in the cashback/gift offer becoming void.

phoned up to ask about the cashback, on the k500i and therefore presumably the cx65 the line rental is refunded by cheque at month 6 for £99, month 9 for £66 and month 12 for £66. Simply send them the relevant bill.0
