Have a read of this:

It says that whilst you can freeze avocados it is not suitable for guacamole.
It also has a few recipes that may interest you.
I also love avocados in salads and sandwichs - and definately with bacon. When making a sandwich I mash the avocado with a vinagrette dressing and use smokey back bacon. (Just had to mop the drool from my chin!!!)0 -
sliced avocado is lovely with chicken on sandwiches tooI am a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Wales, Small Biz MoneySaving, In My Home (includes DIY) MoneySaving, and Old style MoneySaving boards. I like to cut my avocadoes in half, then fill the hole where the stone was with humous and eat. Loverly!0

Whatever you do with these, after they're cut, keep them covered as tightly as possible. If you make guacomole, cover with clingfilm, making sure that the clingfilm is right on the surface - it's the air that makes them turn brown and nasty looking.
My last load, I simply scrapped the avocadoes into a bag, squished them with my fingers, got as much air out of the bag as possible, sealed it, and threw it in the freezer. For the next lot of enchiladas, I hacked a bit off the end, and let it defrost while the enchiladas cooked. Yum, yum.:j0 -
Hi everyone, I have 3 avocados in my fruit bowl which are over ripe and a bit squishy (opened one and it was a tad brown). Are they only good for the bin or does anyone have any alternative ideas please?
Thank you!:xmassmile:rudolf:0 -
Hi lemonade_money,
We have an older thread suggestions for using avocados that should help so I've merged your thread with that one to keep all the replies together.

When very ripe, you can also use as replacement for sandwich spread. If you think reality makes sense, you're just not paying attention!0

I've been having them mashed with lemon juice and black pepper, but am getting a bit bored of that, any more ideas?0
