Ithink you need to combine the mashed meat of 2 avocados and a little kelp with 3 tbsp cider vinegar and 1 tsp of lemon juice to make a fast-acting laxative.
So on their own I don't think you need to worry.

Sounds delicious - now going to have to go and get some avocados to try that out. Excuse my ignorance - vermouth, is that the Cinzano kind of thing?

Not a drinker myself, but according to http://www.viewlondon.co.uk/drink_feat_vermouth.asp
    Yes: Cinzano, Martini, Noily-Prat, etc.

Just mash a ripe one, season and put it in a sandwich with crispy bacon. First tasted this in a trendy city winebar - absolutely yummy.

Good with bacon and/or chicken in sandwiches and salad. Or mashed and used as a face mask :D

Or make it into guacamole to have with something, like fajitas (sp?).

It will ripen itself, slow in the fridge, faster out of it, very fast if you keep it next to a bunch of bananas. icon7.gif
My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead :D

It's fantastic with slices of mozzarella and tomato, dressed with a vinaigrette = a Tricolore salad. Also (very 1980s, this) served cut in half, and the hole stuffed with prawns in a Marie Rose sauce (ie prawn cocktail). Jamie Oliver does a white fish and avocado recipe (you'll find that on the recipe thread).
Don't attempt to eat it while it's hard. Yuch.
Don't prepare it long before you're going to eat it. It goes black and slimy and looks absolutely disgusting.
  • It's also nice just mashed onto slices of toast, grind of pepper and salt and eat while the toast is still hot - yum!
