Saban just hold out until retentions call you which they definately will do, they took 8 days to call me back, which was today, you wont lose that £42.90 offer now as it will be stored on the computer so you have nothing to lose! Hold out ;)

Hey Kev thanks for your reply! Could I ask did retentions call you back on your home phone? I know some people have had problems where they call you on the home phone during the day when you're at work!

    Thanks again:o

FYI - for anyone trying to get a better deal the new Virgin Media deals are out and Tivo activation on 500GB is now FREE - saves the usual £49.99 activation fee for a start...

    Hi
Any idea if I can get a better price on -
    M TV
    L Broadband
    XL Phone
    for £46.90 per month.
Been with VM for a year now, the broadband is much better than with BT or Sky in my area, so would rather stay.
Just need to pluck up the stamina for the phone call to them

Yes but you now have to pay £49.99 installation which was free before so no difference (unless you are a new customer then its all free)

This is such sharp practice - why nit just be upfront by call it one thing, then stick to it, rather than claiming it it free whatever but then adding a different charge? Cheap airline pricing springs to mind!

    Hi all I get :

    TV XL
    L BB
    200 anytime home phone mins
    M Phone

    V+ main box - and 2 Additional boxes ( 1V+ and 1 normal)

For £72 per month - I tried to call to see if they could offer anything better and didnt get anywhere so I cancelled. This was on Monday and have been waiting for a call back but am still waiting. Do you think they will call? Or should I call them? If so what should I say and which number should I ring

Can anyone help me get a better deal than virgin media for £75 a month, keep ringing them up to go lower but they say what with xl and the discount for all three packages together and then £6 for digital home support there is no way of lowering it.. I have all three broadband, phone and TV and was hoping to maybe go freeview or freestat or anything cheaper please?

Online yes, but retentions can waive the installation cost, but could never waive the TiVO cost, I'm pretty sure the Rententions route would have no install or activation if a new contract is launched on existing customer
