I have just spoken to NTL and asked for a better deal on my broadband. I stated that I have been a customer for about 3 years and I'm out of contract. I'm currently on the 1mb package for £17.99. I asked if was possible to have the discount that new customers were getting offered on their website which is £9.99 for 1mb for 1 year. To my surprise they did it no questions asked!

I am in the same boat as you and rang then tonight. I have been given 6 months at £10 a month and have been told to ring back in 6 months and they will extend it for another 6 months at £10!

I was told I could get movies added to my current discounted package for an extra £16.50, making it around £45 for the following:

    4mb broadband
    Telephone, including talk unlimited
    Caller display
    TV xl.

Has anyone else had better? I know some have had deals in the £30 odd range, but those are for 2mb broadband. Cheers.
Anyone got this deal, plus movies?

As I said - I got very similar. Only difference is the phone package but I have 4meg, sky sports and Movies, Basic phone for 38 quid. If I had added Talk Unlimited she offered me it for 42, but I have no need for it.
Being bored is so boring Im bored of it... :rotfl:

Depending on where you live, there are two great ways to get Virgin Broadband:

By fibre optic cable (on cable)
Or down your phone line (non-cable)

Either way, you can look forward to a better service and a fairer deal.

Has anyone managed to get this offer ??????? PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

  • After reading this thread I decided to give Virgin a call. I was previously on basic TV, 2Meg Broadband and basic phone. This was costing me about £33 plus phone calls on top of that, which brought it up to about £50.

    After phoning I was offered,

    TV (XL)
    Broadband 4Meg
    Phone - Weekends and Evenings

    All for £35.

Do you think if I'd pushed a bit more I'd have got unlimited phone calls?

I'm also thinking of adding SkyMovies and getting a V+ box. If I was to get these do you get a discount on them and do you think I would be able to get unlimited phone calls?

    Thanks for all the help.

    DJ.

Yes, Talk Unlimited is a retention option that they will give for free or with big discount.

They have to compete with Talk Talk, Tiscali, Sky who are doing deals with this.

They should give big discount on SkyMovies & V+ box and you should get free upgrade to Talk Unlimited.

Check what other people have got in this thread re:Sky Movies & V+ box.

Look at this post, see the savings people get when they have more services:
